Worse experience with an internet provider. Prior knowledge was through their TV ads. Horrible service since day 2 of my signup. I can't even watch a 30-minute program without eating up your data due to constant buffering. That 1/2 hr program extends to 2 hrs. You then, get a text or email that you're almost out of data and the option to purchase tokens. Phone service is even worse. I'm now held hostage to a 2-year contract or pay the high termination fee. Even a 1-star rating is too generous.

This is the absolute worst internet service out there. I can't wait until my contract is up! I'm paying almost $200.00 per month for internet service that isn't working 90% of the time. If I'm lucky and happen to get a signal it's so slow most things time out. I have Amazon Prime but can't enjoy the free movie's that come with my membership because of the constant buffering!! STAY CLEAR OF THIS ONE!

This company is a huge rip-off! If I could give 0 stars I would. They have unfair business practices and are constantly in breach of their own contract. The data speeds are extremely slow. I never received more than 3mbps ber second for download speeds. I dealt with the company a year allowing them several opportunities for improvement, which never happened! Upon leaving i was billed the ETF and also charged $100 to have a technician come and remove the equipment. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!

Was told that this service was perfect for internet TV when signing up. Then told after I realized my average speed was only 0.46 mbs that Hughesnet isn't designed at all for streaming.i used all the data in 1-2 days. Called in 8-10 times and still can't get out of contract. I have disconnected everything from hughesnet and still use half the data per month, was told my printer is using data. Signal is so slow most of the time I can't even get the hughesnet speed test to work, it times out and says check connection. I'd give zero stars if possible.

The app is actually worse than the satellite service! That's saying a lot. The numbers on the service plan data aren't accurate, they aren't timely & they aren't even in date sequence. They appear to be designed only to sell "tokens" without giving any clear picture of time and rate of use. So you might see a "consumption" graph, showing the 1st, followed by the 17th and then 15th & then back to the the 1st again and then jump to the 10th. Ridiculous.

Told agent what i needed it for and they gave me the wrong plan. It never worked on simple things even off vpn. Not only did i have to pay a service that didnt work, but they attempted to sale me an additional service so it could reach. I have a small apartment and i work in the same room as the router, and their excuse was "i was far or the walls affect it". Then tried to cancel it and they still want to charge me a cancelation fee. Also tech came out to work on it and he did nothing! Lawsuit!

I hate the constant slow speeds and trying to watch a moive that buffers all the time. Cannot watch from 12-5 that doesn't butffer and this is suppose to be when their speeds are the hightest..I have called IT several times and to problem still exist. I hear thery are putting up another sattliete to get faster speeds. If this doesn't happen soon I am going to turn off my router for a mintue and keep it off to find another services that doesn't buffer when I am tryiing to work on the computer.

Believe the reviews. this app makes sure it has credit card info and a tool that you use to see if your device connects to the router very strong, but it doesn't tell you what the speed is you are getting and so far it has NEVER told me how much data i have used. After high speed data is gone they claim you bog down to 1-3 mbps. Right now everything i have that tests the speed are all saying approx 400 kbps. You get a day of choppy, high speed internet, then 29 days of dial up speeds. Shameless.

I wouldn't even give it a one star this is the worst service imaginable. Your better off using Dial up if they still have it. The amount of money they charge for monthly service is a pure rip off seriously I use Roku to stream I won't pay cable I'm out in the country service very limited it takes 3 hrs to watch a 90 min movie. I'm surprised I haven't broken all my TV's from the frustrations of this service stay away unless you like being overcharged and pissed off all the time

Worst business I have ever done business with! You can read everyone else's 1 star review to see all the normal problems ( slow speeds etc), but my biggest gripe is when we cancelled they told us we had to CLIMB on top of are 2 STORY barn to get the radio off or be charged 200 dollars! Asked how much for a tech to get it down 100 dollars! My neighbor thankfully helped, he had it down in under 2 minutes!

No longer reliable I had great service for the first two and a half years I don't know what has gone on the last 6 months especially the last 2 months I either lose service or have no service most of the days and it is so slow and my data is going faster than ever and even with full data I can't connect to anything.

This is the worst. I've had excellent service before moving from California to Oregon. In rural area Hughes net is horrible. I read other complaints of same issues. If you watch Netflix or some such it eats up your availability data in no time. Customer service actually told me to unplug from main connection when not using to save available data from being devoured when not using. Am going to pay to disconnect as this is not acceptable. They should be ashamed. Very scammy. Unfortunately .0 Star

This has been an awful month of wifi. Streaming is pixelated or wont load, slow download speed, slow on the phone, slow on lap top. The date cap goes by fast. Do not recommend.

Constantly buffering,ice rebooted and no change, only time I can watch a movie is early afternoon. No internet connection when I try to get on app to pay my bill even though wifi is on. Oh yea stupid to have us using our data to pay our bill. I would never recommend or use hughesnet again.

Horrible service. If this weren't my only option due to being in a rural area, I wouldn't take it. I went over my data plan and paid $150 for literally the slowest and worst internet service I've ever had. I was paying a third of this in the city and getting up to 150mbps and now im getting MAYBE 10 on a good day and paying $150 a month because I stream. Remind you, half the time it doesn't work. Extremely frustrating. I'd never recommend this service to anyone if they have a choice.

The absolute worst wifi to ever exist. We bought the upgraded version thinking it would make our wifi run better but it made it even worse, so now we are paying more money for a worse service. I cant even load the page on this app to boost the wifi or to pay the payment due because of how bad the connection is. Never ever get this wifi provider its the worst thing you can do. Paying for a wifi thats worthless. Absolute garbage service. I cant do anything at all not even school work.

It's awful. It's slow most the time u can't even get on it except for right after u pay the bill for a day or two( it's still loading constantly) then it's crappier again. For a 100 a month it's very sad. No customer service. They charge u but don't show up. People who use Hughes net live in rural areas were they need good internet. Ur ads are very deceiving. U shouldn't be able to promise service u can not deliver.

I down loaded and installed the app and It just doesn't work or open .Totally frustrating! I have had nothing but bad experience with HugesNet! They promised perfect internet for 60 dollars a month and it's just not true.Buying tokens increases my bill sometimes 3 fold! What a Scam! And now all I want to do is spend more money on tokens and the app doesn't even work! I tried downloading 4 times already!Uhg!

My experience with this company as been awful. Thanks to them not paying attention to when we paid our bill each month they canceled our service and took 400.00 dollars out of our bank account and after acknowledging it was their mistake they still want give us our money back. We tried many times to get the payment set on the third of the month because we live on disability that's it. So now we have to worry about somewhere to live and how we are going to eat. Cause we get no help at all.

The app doesn't work the only info that pops up is my first name can't get billing usage or token info. I have been with HN for 11 years only for the fact I live in the woods and its my only option. The data lasts 1 day for the rest of the month it's either buy more tokens which I can no longer do thru the app or watch buffering all for 150.00+ a month. If ever broadband comes my way HN is history.

Ive had hughesnet for a few days now and the connection is Terrible if I try to play online games I get ping of over 32000 and download speeds of 0.5kbs per second and no that is not a typo if you try to watch any type of streaming such as YouTube Netflix well good luck because your gonna get more buffer than video AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE DATA CAPS AND THROTTLING you will run out of data in Half a day or less 30gbs of data for 149.99 a month seriously avoid this trash internet 0 ⭐

App needs some serious tweaking and updating! It doesn't give the most accurate data usage as in the pictures you show above. It's still showing my plan on the day I signed up. However, the bonus time is correct. Please fix this issue.

All the reviews are correct. Awful service, I don't think I've ever hit the 25 mbps the plan offers. I don't even think I've ever hit 10 Mbps come to think of it. Constantly slow when I'm trying to get work done, which is most of the time. Please spare yourself the cost. Don't get this wifi. You might as well go without wifi than pay the outrageous prices Hughesnet charges. Don't even get me started on the $400 early cancellation fee if you want to get out of their 2 year contract.

This is a good app but there is no way to access your email via the app. You have to log into the website to use email. Very inconvenient. This is a feature that needs to be added to the app to make picking up your email and getting notified that your email is in. Otherwise I would have given the app 5 stars.
