Hum On! - Easiest Music Maker

“Hum On!” is a music application that listens to the melodies you hum into your phone and transcribes them into musical notations adding suitable accompaniments.
● Convert melodies into musical notations!

Start the application and hum any tune into your microphone. Not only will Humon draw the melody line in real time by detecting the pitch and duration of your voice, it will also do the transcribing for you and provide you with a musical score when you finish.

● Add suitable chords and accompaniments for your melody!

A variety of instrumental accompaniments including but not limited to piano, guitar, drum can be added to enrich your melody. Try different genres or styles and select the one that best fits your melody.

● With metronome, make your humming more exquisite!

Before humming, put on your headset and set the tempo on the metronome menu. It will help you to hum more accurately. Of course HumOn will still work even when the metronome option is turned off in which case it will estimate the tempo of your humming.

* More useful options including edit and share will be updated soon.
* Hum On! is officially developed by COOLJAMM Company.

I liked it well enough but, and this isn't a new complaint, could record people's voices a little better and get more accurate rhythms. (However, this may be more of a technology issue.) Neither the less, I still see potential in the app and hopefully it will get better. Also I would like to see more genres in the future particularly heavy metal.

It's not great. About what you would expect in the humming to musical notation department, but the editing side is atrocious; the few settings you can change seem to be scattered through various menus, and even when you can change something, it often doesn't go into effect. Changing Genres, for example, doesn't work 90% of the time; even when I select Classical, it'll play the 8-bit version I just listened to.

This app is bad if you want to write actual songs with it, if you try to sing and maybe click on the piano or whatever it will not sound like us you expected at all. I tried singing one of my songs into the piano and multiple choices but it never really was that good and everything fell off. If you want to write songs I just recommend you use an actual instrument, either a virtual instruments like a virtual piano or real instruments. Because this is not that accurate in my opinion.

this is Amazing I love the simple interface and the amazing sound not to mention the mixer where you can choose which instruments you want for each genre, can upload images for you albums and I cannot stress how easy this is, You can even see the sheet music for your newly hummed tune, the best part is you can upload your audio to files on your phone, ALL ON THE UNPAID VERSION!!! would reccomend to any budding artist or anyone who just wants to easily make great tunes.

Just need a little more feature to be a solid app like being able to record vocals, change time signature, and add in chords to other places in the score rather than the "one chord per bar" rule. Overall this a great app for those who want to start creating there own music. It helps give a foundation to craft on while solidifying the melody.

First impressions. Not bad for a free ap. Choose/download the right genre [essential!] & it sort of works, though initially rather over-orchestrated. Bossa Nova worked best for my tune, and added some nice touches. Doesn't match my vision of course but no doubt learning curve. Tune sampling method is a bit arbitrary, resulting in some misrepresentation. Would personally prefer whistle over hum, as more precise, but then I'm better at the former, not everyone is.

I would love to have some more options to choose my own instruments and record the score, or rerecord the score after choosing instruments. I would love to be able to add more on to the end of the score, cut and paste notes, build custom genre presets, this has so much potential. Thanks, also I bought pro

I think it is a great idea, but I had a lot of issues with the tempo of my melody matching what i was humming. The pitch detection was also a little rough, even after messing with the sensitivity settings. I can see this being improved in the future, bit at the moment it isn't my cup of tea. But thanks for the hard work, and letting me try it out for free.

Its a fun gimmick. You need to have some previous singging experience to use it as it does not pick up quarter tone harmonies, added to this, if you cant keep time and select free tempo this app will reflect it. Or you know, just say its broken. Anywho, if you are good enough at singing to get this app to work as promised yoi can probably make better music by just picking up a real instrument.

this app is great love it lots. however when i try to convert my song to mp3 it gives me a suggestion on what to convert my music too and when i do that it only takes the melody and instruments and not my vocals. that is annoying. also include a search button for when i am searching for an instrument in our list. otherwise great app.

This SUCH a cool idea. Unfortuantly software does not execute on it. It has an impossible time dicerning the notes and timing. I tried with all different kinds of sounds and mics. Keep at it guys. May I suggest taking recorded acapella songs banchmarking against those. I think this has great potential.

The original way that this app was created a few years back for me it was considered one of the best apps to create music. Lyrically and with cords But over the years I've noticed that it has change in many different ways and I'm sorry that I give you such a low score but when it 1st came out it was a lot of help to me. And with all these changes over the years I would have to disagree with it

This is a very easy way to help make music. I know how to make music myself, but this is especially good if you want ideas on what to make. This app is far from the best, but it is quite fun to use. The humming can go off key when the app records it, but it isn't something to be too mad about. I definitely recommend this for people who like music in general, and I believe it deserves a lot more recognition. Thank you to whoever makes this, it helps me a lot with my 'musician's block'.

Cool. Just a suggestion, I could not find a button to hear the original audio. But this thing is amazing, and will even tell you the notes you hum. I can also see from reading comments that customer support is great. Oh hey, I was wondering if you could take the notes it generates from this, play them on another device (so you are not using copyrighted audio packs) and then use it for your own purposes?

Bit annoying at first with all the tutorial popups, and when youve hummed your tuned it tries to force you pick a genre in which it rewrites your tune to fit it, irritating if you just want a straight conversion. I was able to some how get around this and get some sort result.

Just as a trial, I hummed a some familiar tunes to see if I could recognise the music that was made... Very sorry to say.... I don't recognise the music to be the tunes that I hummed. It was nowhere close to it and was not recognisable across an subtype. I don't recommend this app unless you want to be satisfied with some generic music bits

The tool tips are immensely annoying. If the interface needs to be explained that much it's not intuitive enough. May be great for non musicians, but I just want to hum and see a score. Not the app for me.

nope, this app just won't pick up my voice. i tried from low pitch to high pitch and still bad results. i even tried everything from humming to talking to singing, too tired now. i'll keep this app though in case the developer found new ways to improve voice recognition, for now 1 star is enough.

Don't bother downloading! It's a waste of time. I was humming a melody that I was very solid on in a completely silent room and was humming very loudly, and it still sounded nothing like what I hummed. I tried multiple times, but got the same result each time. I don't recommend this to anyone who's looking to actually make music.

This is a fantastic app that makes music creation so much simpler than I could have imagined, and free at that! The ads are inobtrusive but definitely worth it even if they weren't, this is software that's worth $50+ for quality and utility.
