- How to Use -----1. Pairing A. Download ‘HUMAX Live TV.’ B. Select ‘START’ to pair your tablet with your HUMAX product. C. When the PIN code pops-up on the TV screen, enter the PIN code on your tablet.
2. Watching Live TV / Send to / Bring in A. Select a channel you want to watch on live TV from the channel list. B. To switch channels, touch the ‘CH’ button and select a channel you want to switch to. C. Touch the screen and touch the small TV icon with the arrow pointing upwards to send the programme to your TV screen. Touch the TV icon with the arrow pointing downwards to bring in the programme you are watching on TV to your tablet.
3. Remote Recording with TV Guide A. Touch the ‘GUIDE’ button on the screen. B. Scroll through the TV guide and touch the menus to see the programme information or schedule remote recording.

Rubbish app as are all Humax apps (see their reviews all 1*). The company obviously doesn't give a damn. Slate them on every platform please then maybe they will pay attention. Old review : Doesn't work on Android Pie, Humax say they are fixing it in the next few weeks, but since they haven't updated since Oct 2018 not holding my breath! Wish I had not bought Humax kit!
Refuses to pair my android tablet to my Humax FVP 5000. So unable to use. Useless. Clearly the coding for this app is bad it obviously has multiple bugs and just doesn't work. You'd think considering the multitude of 1 star reviews going back a number of years. Humax would rewrite this app and make it good and workable. But no. Guess they're happy to live with it being useless for their customers. Which says a lot about the Humax company.
Useless. Stuck at "Welcome" screen, and thats it. Yes, phone and PVR are on the same WLAN, but still it's like the App is stuck. Will be uninstalling.
I agree with everyone else who says this is rubbish. It cannot detect my Humax box which is on the same wifi network. Completely useless.
Couldn't see the start button as per the screen shots of the app so couldn't even get started. Usual Humax rubbish...very poor. Im using a Samsung s8
Worst app I've ever had the misfortune of trying to use. Doesn't locate box despite both being on the same network. Don't waste your time trying to get it to work, it doesn't.
re my previous review that i gave one* i have updated this to 4*, it appears that it will work with Ethernet, the instructions missed out that you need to set the server on the FVP box to yes. I have upped my star rating as i can now connect
Rubbish It's time Humax updated this app. I'm very dissapointed with Humax for not updateing this app more often. I also have the same problems with the phone app. A very dissapointed Humax fan.
Worked first time but now keeps saying app failed. Reloaded and same problem. Absolute rubbish. At least the remote app works.
Can't connect and I know my Humax player and tablet are on the same network also have same problem with my phone, keeps saying cannot find network. Beats Me !!! .
Just Stopped working "Unknown Error" not on one device but two. Tried all the usual server settings & uninstalling & re installing & it still won't work.
Could not find humax or tablet just feet from the router and devices so unable to. connect the two.
The app couldn't find my humax box despite them being within feet of one another on the same network.

Does not work anymore, keeps saying app has stopped. Uninstalled and won't use again.
Sorry I can't comment on the performance of my Humax Recorder, but there is no way this App will accept it's on the same system 🤬

It doesn't get past the initial screen. Wasted my time quite frankly.
Won't play anything I've recorded! I have been ripped off and im sending the fvp 5000t back as not fit for purpose!
hangs on first start-up and can't progress further.
Hasn't been updated in three years and is too old for my device.
app keeps on freezing and screen goes blank..
It is not made clear that your box needs to be constantly on to use this feature, but why would you want to stream recorded material from your PVR to your tablet when you could just stream from a catch up service; maybe if you keep stuff on the PVR for years, but why not go to the room with the TV since it only works when connected to your home network. I wanted this app to allow remote record setting for the PVR, but being limited to home network only, and the terrible guide implementation.
