Humbug - Genius Puzzle

I love this little game so much! I've completed all the levels but I still go back to play some old levels just for the joy of it. The graphics are very polished and super cool, and I enjoy how challenging it can be even though it is essentially a very simple series of puzzles at the core. I love logic puzzles and entomology, so this was the perfect game for me (even though I'm terrible at maths lol).

A very challenging and stragetic games. It's all about the strategy. I usually do not like spiders, but the way these spiders move is c lever and fun. Wow, this is truelly a great game. Oh, and the ads are only 5 seconds long, unless you don't have enough points for a hint, then you can see a 30 second video for no used points. Unlimited number of tries to stratified your way to the correct bugs order of moves. Have fun and giggle a little .

It was fun while it lasted, but only 200 quick levels meant it didn't last long. Frequent repeats of the same few ads get annoying, but the length of the game makes paying to remove ads a poor value. In contrast to what others have said, all levels are solvable without spending coins for extra moves, but some are challenging.

This game is very well done. The features to allow "undo" is great because the (fantastic) graphics can lead to making a mistake in direction. So it would be frustrating to have to start all over every time. The puzzles are hard enough to make me feel super smart when I solve them but easy enough to solve once once I figured out the movements of the different bugs. All the stars!!!

I completed the game. A nice free puzzle game. You get to reset stage a few times before a advertisement shows. I didn't mind the ads, it gave me time to think about puzzle. I would pay or donate if there was more levels. I also like that you only get so many free hints for watching ads. It makes you work the level and keep your mind working. The real con for me would have to be that the ads repeat so many times. If I'm giving my 30 seconds to watch a ad for a hint, at least have some variety.

One of the best game I've played in a long time. Simple yet effective game mechanics. The puzzles are good but not very hard either. If you're good at puzzles you won't need the hints. Ads are a bit bothersome would be nice to be able to pay a small fee to get rid of them. 4 stars only because of the ads. I'd make a note/recommendation for the devs : make a sequel, add tiles specific movements restrictions depending on the bugs. Thanks for an awesome game 🙂

Delightful puzzle game with nice graphics. The game mechanics remind me of the board game 'Hive' where each insect has a specific moveset. This results in small but challenging puzzles to solve. The insect theme fits nicely with the mechanics. After failing or restarting a level two or three times, or after advancing a few levels there usually is an ad. Which can sometimes be annoying. But there is the option remove the ads in-game with a one time purchase.

I don't bother rating games very often, but this is a particularly excellent, very elegantly designed and well balanced puzzle game. The mechanics of it remind me of the tile based board game Hive, but adapted to a single player puzzle. If you want a game that challenges your mind without raising your blood pressure, this is the one.

This game is awesome. Simple to play but really makes you think. Its beautiful to look at too. Ads about once every 10 levels or so which feels fair and definitely not obtrusive. Early days but will definitely consider paying to remove ads if reasonably priced. Edit. £2.50 to remove ads. No brainer. What a little gem of a game!

Finally completed all 200 levels without having to use a single coin. Randomly, some levels can be breezed through whilst others require lots of thought and having to come back to time and again. Absolutely fascinating little game that passed more than a few hours in short bites

This is definitely one of the best mobile games I've played. It's challenging and fun and though there are a lot of ads (expected if you're playing for free), they're not obnoxious. Unfortunately, not all games do ads right, but this one does. The game did seem a little short, but hopefully, they plan to add more levels.

Puzzles can get a bit frustrating times, but it makes you think and plan and that's the type of games I like! Exercise my brain while passing time. Just gets a bit addictive because I just want to complete the next level. Kind of wish you could beat the game in less moves and get a higher reward though.

An actual puzzle game with some unique mechanics. While most levels are pretty easy, there were a few that kept me stumped for up to an hour or so. Had to use a hint once. I recommend purchasing to remove ads. Currently there are only 200 levels, hopefully more are on the way.

I'm only about 20 puzzles in and they already require that you pause and solve it, which I really appreciate. I also like the way they introduce the mechanics for new bugs, it's very well done. Edit: as I'm progressing I'm seeing more and more ads between levels, even if I don't use undos or restarts, complete a level, see an ad, complete the next level and see an ad. It used to be reasonable, now it's getting bad (I'm around level 80) and I'm removing a star because of it

Too many ads that interrupt the flow of thought when trying to solve the puzzle. It's VERY disconcerting. I love the challenges, especially each bugs specialty moves. I've played many types of puzzles. This is unique and the first time I've ever done a review. If the pop up ads were cut in half, I'd be more apt to give this five stars. It's a great puzzle!

This is an excellent game! Good art and fun sound effects support a challenging set of short logic puzzles. It is engaging and soothing, perfect for when I want a break to reset. I love that there are no power-ups to distort play (all you need is brain power!) and slot machine-esque rewards are limited to the end of levels. My only quibble is with the icy levels, the theme and color scheme are out of place with the rest of the game which is jarring and breaks me out of the game.

Loved every fun and challenging minute of this game. It's a true puzzle, requiring smarts (not luck or random clicking) and learning as you go. The solutions are always there for you to find if work at it. It's beautiful, and the "music," sound effects, and animation reflect real talent and are so enjoyable. Never before have I loved bugs so much! I paid for no ads and it was worth every penny. I will wait impatiently for more levels. Thank you for a wonderful game.

Great game. Nice relaxing music. Lightweight solid graphics. I love the way the gameplay builds on existing mechanics and adds new puzzles. I thought that most of the puzzles were a bit on the easy side though. Which is ironic considering the only negative reviews. Also a level editor would be a great edition. Maybe let users submit their own levels for a chance of them getting released. Something like that.

Update: still a great game but can't save progress between my phone and my kindle fire. Otherwise, exactly what I've been searching for! No time limits, no silly backstory. Just challenging enough to make me think a little, but not so hard i stress out and get frustrated. No constant offers to buy things. A fairly priced ad-free option that i am happy to pay to support the developers.

Clever and entertaining puzzle. Good range of difficulty, and although I never had to use a hint, some were real head-scratchers. Ads are much too frequent, the game is well worth the cost to buy the no-ads version. Beyond that, I never had to spend to advance. Currently there are only 3 levels; I'm hoping more are added soon. Maybe some new bugs 🐛 too?

The premise is simple: the insects have specific moves and they all have to be moved to an end tile within a set number of moves. Every win grants coins with which you can purchase hints when needed. This puzzler has a clear learning curve and challenging follow ups. The levels are short enough to play if you have a minute to spare, but putting it away when you're in the zone is tricky. The ads show up after a few tries, whether you win or lose, but the price to remove them is not too bad.

Humbug is a fun progressive logic game. It's a little hard at times but there are solutions and it feels good finding them, especially on the first try. It's making me try things, when trying things isn't how I usually initiate a plan. I suppose that could generalize to other kinds of planning. Presently, the ads are WAY too frequent, and TOO long which means I have to multitask. Frustrating, the ad time is greater than the app time. ~ K

Incredible game! I love the concept and the bugs are adorable all the way. In fact, I wish I could see the bugs up close and play around with them more than the gameplay allows... Seriously fell in love with them. Gameplay is simple enough. The puzzles are relaxing and gets trickier as you go along, though never to a frustrating level. Highly recommended for those looking for quick, stress-free, beautiful games that don't consume much time to finish a level. Absolutely LOVING Humbug.

This game is really great, real fun, and challenging. But the ads, omg, I read a review that the ads weren't that bad, but they make you watch an ad after every 2 or 3 tries. I've never liked a game enough to spend money to be ad free, but I love this game enough that I did. Only to find out there are only 200 levels right now. Now I feel cheated even though it's my own fault for not checking before paying. The game itself is amazing. I hope they update soon with new levels.

Cute, clever and fun puzzle game! Easy to pick up and play for a few levels. There are 9 different bug types which all have their own unique movement patterns, which keeps the gameplay fresh and interesting. I bought the ad-free version pretty quickly so I could play and retry without the stress of ads popping up. Enough levels to keep me entertained for a number of weeks, so it was worth the investment 👍🏼

IMO this game is "perfect". Beautiful artwork, relaxing music, and not too many ads. I hope the creators continue to put out new levels till the end of time 😆 Don't listen to other reviews about too many ads (most can be skipped). For a FREE game of this quality you can deal with it. Some should learn a little patience/tolerance/understanding, games don't create themselves.

Delightful and challenging puzzle game with sleek graphics and fun movement abilities. The game is well balanced but not overly complex. If a level is too hard the player may spend coins earned from beating other levels on hints to complete the harder ones. There were only two downsides to the game. 1st: Ads are pretty frequent, but can skip after a few seconds so no big deal. 2nd: There are only 200 levels and I wanted to keep playing! I thoroughly enjoyed this game! I highly recommend this gem

Simply awesome! This is a beautifully crafted game that requires patience, logic and problem solving ability. Some levels are conquered instantly, others can take ages. I was addicted from the first minute and continued my adventures every chance I had. I've just completed the final levels and truly hope to see a stage 4 in the coming weeks/months. On an aside, I paid the few dollars to remove the ads and it was well worth it. Two thumbs up devs, great work!

Before that, I would like to make a suggestion, it'd be awesome if we could rotate or zoom the puzzle and take a closer look at insects. A very thoughtful puzzle game everyone can love! Even if you hate bugs, you will find this game as fairly challenging, with adequate increment every level. A fun game for sure, and ads never interrupt much.

I don't often leave reviews, but I had to for this game. This is my absolute favorite game on Android ! I've played a ton of Puzzle games, but the mechanics, visuals, sound design, levels, and difficulty progression of this game are so on point it's insane! I hope new levels are coming soon! Payed for no Ads to enjoy the game without interruptions. Would pay a lot more to get more levels and new bugs/mechanics! Keep making sure you order the new levels to become gradually harder.
