Hungry Cat Picross

It's a fun enough game that starts off easy and gradually ranks up the difficulty the further in you go. Yet if things are too difficult to pass through, past Tuesday Seasons and Challenges, as well as Frescoes offer content that can be a little easier than the advanced galleries. Chests are obtained once a gallery is completed or once you level up so even though you will not get magic brush every time you open one, if you only use those in dire situations, you shouldn't feel too pressured to buy brushes. You may also watch an ad to obtain a free chest. I do have an issue where I cannot find the button to turn off the sparkling tiles however, which is really distracting and somewhat stressful as I feel rushed to paint that tile to stop the distraction only for it to start elsewhere. Also, do make sure your files are synced with an account to cover potential save loss.

i just finished all the puzzles and I don't know what to do with my life ! it's relaxing and sometimes challenging, love it ! The advancement bars aren't always working properly but meh I don't really care and it changes nothing about the game. The little costumes for the cats are cute too

i absolutely love this app, however I've been having some issues with the experience points. i am not getting experience for a lot of things i complete. i did 4 or 5 Tuesday seasons and noticed i hadn't leveled up. i watched it and i wasn't getting experience. i tried all game modes, and most of the time I'm getting 0 exp and only getting exp sometimes. that's only reason this is 4 stars. whenever screen freezes on finished pic and you need to back out, you won't get xp. Support doesn't respond

Amazing game but late the bugs Ara everywhere and are so annoying specially in the picromanis section where I'll be playing normally till out of nowhere its stays generating the level but doesn't end so I need to go back to the main menu. Also there's problem with the Tuesday season where almost every time I end one I have to go back to the home menu because after finishing the painting it just stays there without letting me continue.

Would have gave 5 stars but lately after finishing a puzzle the app freezes with no back button to proceed to another puzzle so I have to quit and relaunch the app each time and it's annoying. Other than that I love it

The home button isn't working, when I click it nothing happens, so I have to reset the app to get back to the main screen. And the Tuesday Season titles for 2021 are mixed up, many of them don't fit with the image.

This game was amazing for a while. I opened it tonight and now I have to go to the main menu after each puzzle because it doesn't return to selection and when I hit the back button the image is stuck on the screen. Very disappointing.

I love this game, but in the last few days it's driving me insane. I'm working on the "Tuesday seasons" and when I complete one bit it stays on top of the rest of the screens so I have to go back to menu page each time and then click back through to the picture. It's driving me bonkers!

I think there's an issue with the 2021 season puzzles. First, I completed a lot of the first few when they originally released them each Tuesday, but I have had to redo them all, minus the new years one. Second, I don't think the titles fit the images. The Last Guardian one for example is titled "Year of the Ox", but I'm pretty sure that title is meant for the new years puzzle

I've been playing the free version for a while. At first the ads were reasonable, about 5-10 seconds long and skippable after the first three or so. After the purrfect edition update there are some ads that last at least half a minute, sometimes without an option to skip. Maybe it's my fault for being a free player and having it so easy early on but I'm writing this in case you're also looking to play the game completely free; know that sometimes you'll spend more time watching ads than playing the game.

This is the perfect mobile puzzle game. It's picross with a color twist, plain and simple. The format can lead to some unfairly difficult puzzles, but the What If? mode is the perfect antidote to that. It's unique. But most importantly, I've been playing this app for over a year now, and it hasn't gotten old. I've picked up and dropped many other mobile games in that time, this one is still my baseline. I love the art and the dedication from the creators. And I love the hungry cat :3

Only one negative thing to say: I've run out of puzzles! 😥 There's a new 9-grid puzzle every week. Can't wait. This is the best app of its kind as far as I'm concerned. There are a lot of levels, all free. New puzzles every week. The ads never interupt gameplay, but you can watch for rewards. The puzzles are challenging but not hard. Super addicting! There's also a cute kitty to dress up and feed - just for fun! I wouldn't mind a few new frescoes... In case anyone is listening.

Cute Game. Only complaint is the controls, they are okay, but not good enough for people who likes to glide/slide through their screen to make it faster. If you stray away from the supposedly straight line, it will color a different block. Ruining the "flow" of the game and thus making it irritatable. You can play this game in offline mode, which is good but once you opened your internet, you are bombarded with ads, with that I mean, after a playgthrough you are forced to watch one at the end.

It's a fantastic game, my only nitpick is that the star system feels unnecessary and a bit pace breaking. It's not the kind of puzzle where you really want to replay the levels over and over to get better times, and harder levels are pretty much impossible to rush out, so it usually just results in playing the level twice if you want to get all stars.

I love this picross game. I love the added challenge of having the colors either be consecutive or broken up. The puzzles themselves are cute, and the unlockable boxes, backgrounds and outfits are an added bonus. The only issue is that I've done all of the puzzles, then gone through and done all of them on three stars, and I want more.

Cute, used to play this game a while back but there's a few hiccups 1. The privacy policy and newsletter page(cat with a cog wheel) is layered and formatted weirdly, causes an issue with viewing the information there- I'm unable to read the text on that page 2. Third colour to paint isn't on the brushes below the puzzle so it's impossible to switch between all of the needed colours 3. (more of a personal preference) there should be an option to make the cat in the right corner not move

A refreshingly different, but still easy to get a handle on, take on picross. Interface is easy to navigate, customizations are great and adorable, and recent menu bugs have been fixed so I have no complaints! Ive been a fan of this app for a while and it's yet to disappoint, outside of the occasional (and understandable) update bug, which is usually swiftly fixed.

Amazing game Beside looking awesome with many cute variations for the overall design, it is a very addicting game and fun to play. Easy to learn for new players and still keeps it interesting for old players I've had this app on my phone for over two years now and even though I have finished all paintings (for now) I am always excited for the next ones to come. Sadly it is a little buggy and I sometimes try to play the Madness Mode but it just tries to generate Levels but instead crashes

My very favorite app. I have been playing for years, and it is the only app I come back to consistently and joyfully. It's smooth, it's *overflowing* with content, it's gorgeous to look at, and I absolutely love the sense of style and humor the devs and artists pour into this. Always uniquely challenging and rewarding. 100% parfait!

I love this game! an awesome twist on classic picross. And the Tuesday frescoes are a wonderful idea, maybe adding the previous 2019 ones to play would be nice as well! There is a bug that saved progress on a level is rarely saved (maybe 1 in 5 times?), and many times when I restart a level, not all the number clues show up (whole colors disappear).

I've played this game for a long time. Twice now, my entire progress was wiped out. This time i can't even get to the options menu to see if the reset button works. I like the game, and gameplay deserves at least a 4, or I'd rate it even lower for this major flaw! But it's not worth starting over a third time.

Very fun game! Love the puzzles. I have only one complaint: this app prevents your screen from turning off. I often play this at night before I fall asleep and have on more than one occasion dozed off without realizing the game is still open! I accumulated 200 minutes on a puzzle section because I fell asleep. Perhaps this could be changed or even added as an option.

This is the best app I have ever purchased. I've always loved picross, but HC switches up the formula just enough to make things even more fun and rewarding. Also, they have been consistently adding puzzles and features for over 6 years- at no extra cost! These days, that is unheard of. I'd buy it again if I could, just to show my support for the devs.

I really enjoyed this Picross game, but it lost one star because the logic isn't always discrete (in pretty rare instances, there can be more than one solution). Personally, that breaks my trust a little, but for the most part it's solid. And one nitpicky thing, sometimes pics are pop culture references with non-intuitive names, which can be frustrating to identify (eg. a pic of Wall-E is just called "last one cleaning"). But I'm only being this picky because I mostly really like this game.

I really love Hungry Cat Picross. The format really tests my brain when I place different colored blocks down to form a picture. One thing that really bugs me is the Tuesday Paintings. I did almost all of the 2019 Tuesday paintings, but when they were made available in the gallery, I saw no progress saved from when I had done them on a weekly basis. There were 0 stars in 2019. It's disappointing to see all my hard work disappear. Now I have to redo them all if I want the stars.

I love it! It has plenty of levels, there's a new 9 level painting every Tuesday, and each year's Tuesday paintings become available by the end of every year, which means you won't run out of content for quite a while. The ads aren't intrusive, and the in-app purchases aren't necessarily at all to just enjoy the game - the in-game currency is used mostly for cosmetics, and I don't recall a single time I really needed to use hints.
