Entertaining but can use improvements. If there wasn't a cap off for hunting, the game can be enjoyed longer. For instance, when you go to bed and wake up with more than three hunting opportunities, it's rewarding since half of the time hunting is unsuccessful. It is also painful to wait an hr for hunting refill to find you don't get to hunt the animal you expected. Interest is hard to maintain with frequent and prolonged waiting for progress.

Had fun with the game for a while but once I started getting one specific ad, the music would constantly play over the game, and even when I got out of the app the ad music would keep going until I quit entirely, reinstalling doesn't seem to work either. If anything, anytime I got that ad, it'd stack. That one irritating banjo music over and over again

Cute and simple, wish gems were easier to acquire. One problem, almost all my orders are asking for a seasonal recipe, the pheasant and eggs on rice, and I've not been able to get it for days. I don't know if seasonal means I have to wait for the next season to get it, I assume so but hope not. Almost impossible to get any XP now as they're all asking for something I cannot make or obtain.

I always like to click on the bird to watch an ad and get the golden bone/gem. But what I find absolutely bs is that sometimes the golden bone doesn't work when I click on it! Multiple times that has happened, I'm basically giving you free money with nothing in return! Fix this PLEASE. I think this happens if you send the dog to get the mini ingredients, it registers the golden bone as not there after that. Either way, this must be fixed without a single problem.

The third star is only coz it works well offline. Some changes should be made : 1. More hunt points shall be alloted (3 are too less) with rising levels. 2. Time needed to refill (1hr for each point) is too much. 3. reduce the time those recipes take to cook especially after the AYU Fish. These changes will make the game more interactive and less boring.

This is a very, very cute and simple game! Good for people who don't have a lot of time on their hands, as it does use real time to cook the dishes, and there's one new hunt point every hour. No pressure to log on, and it's quite easy to earn gems. No ads forced onto you, either! The game is quite enjoyable. It's easy to get other ingredients too. Edit: I forgot to mention Old Man Veggie. He gives you extra veggies (ofc) and sometimes gives you a 'red cow' which recovers one hunt point.

This is a cute, addictive game that you can check up on every few hours or so. The graphics are adorable. Recently, though, there seems to be a bug where sometimes it says that my time settings seem funny, and all the countdown timers are messed up... even though I didn't change my time settings at all. I'm playing on a Samsung S8. Please fix it soon!

This game is really cute. I love the aesthetic, the music, the menus are easy to navigate, nothing is confusing. I only wish that you could customize the appearance of your character, and I wish you could skip the little animations at the beginning of hunts and just give us the quick or full hunt button. But those are just tiny things! I'm really enjoying the game. Great job 😊

Overall an enjoyable game. It's very cute, informative, and a bit silly. It has invasive ads - they're short but irritatingly frequent. Definitely prefer games that let you choose when you watch ads and reward you for them. This game has both. Can't advance in the trials for the life of me, so I've just given up on them.

I don't leave a lot of reviews but HuntCook is one of my favorite app games. My only complaint is that sometimes, when you're using multiple Red Cows to restore energy, you get hit with ads for every hunt. The upper level hunt trials also seem too challenging, but that doesn't detract from the main gameplay. Overall I adore this game-- I don't know what I'll do with my spare time when I've completed everything!

really fun and engaging game! it has made me excited to try more new foods. however i would appreciate if the train feature was on a timer instead of a clock because i am not diurnal! also, it is hard to get enough diamonds for necessary upgrades without completing offers. it is well balanced once you buy these things, the price is just steep. however it's still one of my favourite games, i have a lot of fun and check it frequently. it's very cute too!! i love all the characters.

Only been playing for 2 days or so, but the game is a much nicer idle game than most out there right now. I do really appreciate that you can skip the details of cleaning the meat. The only downside would be the wait time to hunt. You get 3 hunts and it takes an hour for it to regenerate the number of hunts. Of course there is an item to regenerate the number instantly, but when used it only regenerates 1 out of 3 hunts.

I really enjoy playing the game, but whenever I try to tap the little bird and watch an ad for gems, or watch an ad to finish a dish.... Nothing happens. The music pauses and then the game keeps going. This has stopped me from completing achievements and progressing in the game. I'm on a Verizon Note 8. Shame.

I want to give it 4 stars because is a really good game, but the hunt is getting very annoying so I decide for 2. I have to spent energy even when I encounter the old farmer, that it give you ingredients (that I don't need) and sometimes it doesn't give you energy back, but I just want to hunt the f**ng animal and mostly of times is just the old farmer making very hard to get any food, can you make it appear just 2 times a day or something, just this issue want me to stop playing the game.

Overall the game is really fun and casual, has engaging gameplay and fantastic graphics! The food look appetising! However, I can't get any gems bird chances or other extra rewards because the ads stopped working after a few weeks :'( please restore this feature or fix this bug, it would really help a lot. I have no idea why it just stopped...

Really fun at first. But later levels become pretty much impossible to enjoy without spending a lot of money. It would be great if I could increase the energy limit with money, so then I could check on the game more rarely and still make progress. Now it feels like I need to be checking on it every 3 hours. Far too addictive. Starts to feel like a chore after a while. I know that's how you make money, but I'd rather spend my money on something actually fun rather than an addiction. Uninstalled.

The game is pretty great. It has a chill vibe with fun characters, although the dialogues are rather cheesy. The limitation of inventory is discouraging, and the fact that you cannot replenish your hunting energy point consecutively is annoying too. It would be nice to have the option to replenish max, or at least don't force the user back to the main screen after every single replenish.

Bet. C. Mar 21, 2021

Great and relaxing game but could do with some UI improvements. For example, it would be nice to show what each stage has a chance of giving in terms of veggies and other items. You can only see it if you're missing the recipe or item. Simple quality of life fix. Also recovering via red cow, it should let you recover as many as you want. Not one at a time. Should have a purchase or upgrade option to expand max energy. 3 is nothing. Some scaling required for the different cooktop options

The game is very charming and I really love the fact that the developers put in the idea of always using every part of the animal, that's something I've always believed this important if you have to hunt. My only issue is that I'm getting wheat from the Duck level even though you're supposed to get cabbage and stuff like that. I haven't been able to find cabbage free and I'm not at the level to get it at the supermarket yet so that's a bit annoying.

I enjoyed what time I got with it, but Hunt Cook's backup system has brought play to a screeching halt. After recovering it on another device, the game is adamant that something is wrong with the new device's time system, and has broken all time-based functions of the game. I'd advise switching to a more modern progress-saving system, like having automatic backup with Google Play. There's simply no good reason to have a key-based system in this day and age, especially if it's not as reliable.

Pretty fun, but the wait or pay gets worse the further in the game you progress. Dishes needing 8+ hours is already bad enough, but then you need multi-step recipes that sometimes require multiple 8+ hour dishes. And good luck fulfilling the ingredient requirements when you can't even find the dang animals, in spite of (supposed) 75+% success rates. Good thing there's a save sync, because I'd feel bad if I lost all that progress when I ultimately uninstalled. Great humor and writing, though.

It's a fun way to pass time, until it gets to later levels where all of the products take hours to make, and gathering enough experience to level up takes way too long to play this as anything other than something to do in between waiting for another game to do something. Still, it's cute, and fun for a bit, so I overall enjoy it.

Pos. P. Aug 5, 2021

Charming game to play idly, the graphics are cute and the creativity of the recipes is something to be admired (though I can't be the only one who looked up some of these meat recipes and disappointedly found nothing. Nobody is eating ravens apparently!) Downside is cook times for recipes as you level-up get longer, and it can take almost too long to hold interest to make it past the bison achievement. And the hunting minigame gets pretty tedious after a while. Definitely not a speedrun game.

pretty fun game overall, hunting & cooking put together is a good idea, wish there were more games like it, the waiting isn't that big an issue for me, I usually do dishes that need more time while I sleep. Minor problems I have are the flashing when using lucky bone is an eye irritant, the game crashes if I share too often or if I use the traps 😞 not sure if I'm getting the reward or not, and sometimes when I try to hunt i have to click a hunting area more than 3 times before i get to play it

It was fun while pretending to hunt and cook. It is also occasionally educational as food trival is shared along. Art is lovely, cutesy and colourful, it might tempt one to make food themselves. And hunting has a catchy tune to it. Only setback is the ads. Besides being bit repetitive and somewhat frequent, the latest flaw crashed the app after an ad... Every Hunt. And app refuses to start after that. So it affects the experience a lot. Hope Technical stuff gets resolved though! 😊

Good game with some flaws. First, the lvling ratios are off...i.e; you get recipes that need ingredients you cant get to because they are locked behind the next lvl. but you cant progress without them. Second, when lvling the hunting points do not increase nor do they accumulate, any extras at lvl up are lost; poor design choice. Third, the pantry size is very annoying and you constantly have to juggle important ingredients; another poor choice. Fourth...sadly pay to progress. Room to improve.
