Hunt Wild Wisconsin

This app won't even let me log in. I have a valid account that I can log into in a browser. But my email and password login info doesn't work for the app. It just tells me email or password is incorrect, which is false. I have verified all my info in my account. It worked the first time I used it but not after that. I've run the latest update. App is unusable to me as is.

Terrible app. Maybe deserves 1/2 star. Never loads the map. Tells me my internet connection is too slow even when I have the strongest cell signal possible, or an excellent wifi connection. Rarely shows the hunting hours when I want to check them. I keep hoping they will improve the app, but it never happens. The DNR has no competition and no incentive to improve their service.

Wayyyyy better than that Pocket Ranger disaster they used to have. Finally the DNR gave us an app to get hunting regulations and times easily instead of downloading PDFs and figuring out zones. Would give it five stars if the login wasn't dumb. Of course I want to use saved data also just bring up the map and have a separate small section to spin through my saved activities right there on the map. Don't make me choose an activity to see the map. Finally I'm very happy with the boundaries. It doesn't show private property but it doesn't need to. Let OnX handle that. It's just nice to know where those private land parcels are embedded in larger sections of National forest.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST APP!! 1) What good is saving waypoints if you can't pull them up? 2) Very RARELY does the shooting times display on the app. Usually it says "unavailable". This when I have 4 bars of 4G coverage and wifi available. 3) Zone maps show ÷/- shooting hours but not actual shooting times? ( for example 30 min before sunrise). The map is also so small it is unreadable. zooming very clumsy. Basically the app sucks.

Really wish it would show the private land that's open to public. With the available GPS location marker, the outline of the properties & the access points marked, it would make public land use so much easier, & less troublesome to the private landowners near the land. The website with the red, & purple markers is a pain to use.

Was able to log in once, now I can only get in using guest access. Can't reset password, never get the email. Uninstalling. I get better information from Onx hunting app. I would recommend the DNR host a user feedback session to organize the trouble tickets and hold the developer accountable for the product. I would also compare this project with other states that are using the same developer to see how they feel about its performance.

Hard to understand the tutorial. Keep background music out of the instructions. I just want to listen to the instructions. Installed it awhile ago and also undated it. Still couldn't make it function half the time. So, I have uninstalled it for good. Waste of my time. Pocket Ranger was better.

Used for 1 season. App completely stopped working this year. Every time i try to log in it says server error, and it didnt save my data from last year so all of my hunting hotspots are completely gone from the map when it does open. I love wisconsin and hunting up there, but this app turned to trash since the first year of its release.

Creating an account was straightforward and easy however after logging out, then trying to log back in, the app would not recognize my email address...attempted several times (there is only one email address I use on my mobile), so I uninstalled the app. Besides, I was interested in where I could hunt wild boar which wasn't listed and wouldn't provide any information. App is useless as this was the only thing I was interested in. Too bad...nicely constructed app, but login a big problem.

This app is useless! I bought my resident Sportsman License in the app and tried to print the license to save it on my phone as a pdf. Despite constant effort, I can't get it to print. It also didn't ask what deer zone I hunt, so I didn't get any doe tags with my gun buck permit. I'd take away stars if I could. This app couldn't be any worse!

Marginally better than last year, but still garbage. Keeps stopping, and no option to save login/password info, so have to manually enter info every login. Its 2018, and this stuff isnt that complex.

Not nearly as useful as the previous Pocket Ranger app. Miss the ability to see where my hunting partners are on the map. This app is very basic with limited functionality.

Your navigation on this app is terrible. The zone maps don't load. The cart doesn't clear the desired licensure. App seems glitchy. I just want my license but it added other licensure I didn't want and now won't remove them from the cart.

Very useful information. Would be nice though if I could easily find county specific information without going elsewhere. Otherwise, you have all the info you will likely need; can purchase licenses through the app; some mapping (hours, zones).

Difficult to use, I prefer Hunt Stand but this one has shooting times. Also, trying to access on my PC through Bluestack and the Google Play Store doesn't appear to have it available when accessed that way. I think I'm going to take it off my phone to save space and just use Hunt Stand and get the shooting times the old-fashioned way. DNR should get a better app, maybe tie into one of the commercial apps somehow?

Your hunt wild app is awesome. I really appreciate the map feature that shows me where I am, what direction I am going, and the borders of public and private land. Also makes it harder to get lost.

Confusion Trying to register and then trying to get on have been a nightmare. This app doesn't seem to know if I am registered or not. Try to preregister and it tells me the email address is already in use. Try to reset the password and it doesn't send a reset email .

Constantly get signed out and when I try to sign back in get duplicate error entry

This app is absolutely representative of the DNR and our government in general. Everything it attempts to do is clumsily flawed so much so that I have a hard time believing it wasnt intentionally programmed to provoke frustration. It is by far the most glitch filled app I have used to date. I guess its possible this may be the programmers first attempt at app design?

I downloaded this app on my new phone prior to the 2019 nine day season. I was able to log into it once. When I went to log in a second time, it said my email or PW wasn't valid. I clicked on the reset my PW button, but I never received an email. I reached out via email, and was able to have the DNR IT person reset it. I was able to login again, and changed it. when I went to log in again, it wouldn't accept my PW. I reached out a second time, and they reset my PW again. Please fix this.

Like others, I can't even log into the app. I even verified my login information, and on the off chance, asked to reset my password (though that email was never received).

Cool app. Not all features are enabled yet, but it's a great start. As a millennial, I appreciate the DNR's digital outreach (podcasts, YouTube, app, etc.).

So far best app I've found to show public hunting land. Other apps don't have all the public hunting lands so I was constantly switching between apps to find my location and the boundaries.

I like that it's easy and free. I wish it had more abilities to mark places or somehow able to click on a property and get info.

This app worked good the first time I used it. But when I go to sign back in it says my email and password are invalid. Typical DNR to mess it up. Like everything else in our state.

1) Offline support needs work - was in the woods and couldn't use my saved maps because it couldn't log in. 2) Would be helpful to add comments or notes to the waypoints.

So... do I have to get a new phone to use this, if it's "not compatible" with my 4 year old Android? Gave it 1 star simply because I cannot download it. It might be great, I'll never know. I cannot afford, nor do I need, a "newer" cell phone. I guess I'm SOL now that the old app is no longer usable either. :(

Need to add in Hunt hours for days and locations other than specifically the location and time that the app gets opened from. It doesn't help planning a trip to a different area if you don't know what time to leave in morning to be ready for first legal light.

Glitches a lot and kicks me out if the app when scrolling through species. No update available. Besides being randomly kicked out of the app while reading regulations or scrolling through species, I like the app for information and to buy tags and stamps!

Horrible app works once and once you close the app it says failed to load maps I have the keep uninstalling the app and reinstalling it to work and it only works 50% of the time
