Absolute garbage. As with all NYS sites, the account is impossible to maintain. Once your password expires, it is nearly impossible to change. If you forget your password, you might as well delete the app...locked out forever. On top of that, there is now a 14 character password requirement along with all the tradition requirements. It's like trying to sign into a multi million dollar investment account.

Downloaded the app to report a harvest. Unable to login. Username and password don't work. Try to register and it tells me I already have an account. Login through the website with the same credentials and it works fine. Go back and try the app again and still fails. May as well just use the website. Webpage layouts on mobile browser for HIPS are awful but at least I can get logged in. If you want people to be better about reporting their harvests you need to get these issues resolved.

Terrible experience so far! Cant even get started. First you have to go to the web site to register (so your'e told but it appears you can register at the app itself) and the only selection is to purchase a licence, there is no option for current holder. So under "licences held" I put in my current licence # but apparently there is no creoss reference to what licence you do hold! Then, the app immediately freezes! Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. What would I expect from NYS!

*Edit* App was fixed eventually. I still get errors from time to time that it can't connect. You need to log out then back in* App won't sync with new accounts, DEC is aware. I've used this successfully in the past but since DEC changed DECALS, users have to create new DECALS acct. This app only recognizes old acct. It shows previous reports but not current license year tags. When I try to sign up, I'm redirected to Kalkomey to my currently active and signed in acct. A major fix is needed here.

Need to log out and then back in to get it working again. They changed license vendors so you need to create an account with the new license vendor and the sign out on the app and then sign back in. Works like it did before when you do that. I see a lot of 1 star reviews and I think it is because of this. Try it and it should solve your problem. I found this out when I renewed my freshwater and marine registry. I dinged a star for poor communication and they should have auto logged everyone out

App never got past the homescreen/loading page. I uninstalled it because it appears at this point to be useless and a waste of storage on my phone. From the description it sounds like it would great if it worked.

Cannot report harvest. Good app with information, but nobody that I know that uses it with an Android phone can seem to complete a Harvest Report. Gets all the way to the end (enter number of points per side) but there is no submit or enter or next button. Friends with iPhone's have no problems. So android users are stuck either calling the 800 number or using decals to report their harvest. Please fix this.

Can't log into the app. Tried uninstall and reinstall but nothing. The sign in button doesn't hylite or function. I have had this app for a long time without issues, but now sign in not functioning. I can still log into my DEC and Decals account through the website, just not the app.

Useless app, installed it twice and both times was not able to open it. Just shows name of app and that's all. Sounded like exactly what I wanted so I could have my licenses handy all the time but doesn't even open! Fix it or remove it!

Horrible....if I could give it a zero I would. It used to work great. Now it won't let me login just says DEC services are currently unavailable OR you username and password are wrong. Tried resetting my password and it says my security question is wrong. I think I'd remember the make of my first car. Tried making a new account and still says the same thing. Of course you can't get ahold of anyone when you call......straight trash

Read reviews before downloading saying it won't get past the sign-in loading screen, but gave it a shot anyway... Not surprisingly now, I can backup what the other reviews are saying. The app won't move past the loading screen. Deleted the app.

Every year the kalkormey folks can't fix their problems. At least once a year for the past several I write them and told that I amazingly have 2 LOG INS. Didn't create any extras from my end. If I didn't need the DEC site I would delete it in a heart beat. They fixed it before and will fix it again. WHY??????

this app will not let me open anything. slow . it gets stuck open. I was hoping it would be easy but not .. so much trouble. they need to work on it. the old app i could put my tags on it and report from the app . not this one .. stop trying to make things better if the old way is working.. most of us hunter just need to report our kills not look for weather or anything fancy.. a down and dirty app is all I need to give our DEC people a break from doing harvest reports..

Hard to log into, hard to navigate. Does not respond quickly. Just as confusing abd difficult to use as everything else associated with NY State.

Complete junk, but what do you expect from NY State Government. Won't open past the loading screen. Tried installing 3 times. Guess I don't need to report my deer after all. Zero stars if it were an option.

Does not work.. Tried to load it a couple of things and when i tried to open it the only thing that came up was the logo. Sent a report and asked why this was happening and still have not received any reply. Wish it worked It would be great if it did what it says.

This app worked great for me last season. This season it doesn't work at all. It's total garbage. Get it together and fix this thing. It's 2020, you should be able to make a simple app to check in a harvest work properly.

Like many others have said this app doesn't function anymore. Shows my expired licenses, but not the new ones and will not update. says it is unable to connect services unavailable.

This app is terrible. No way to tell what tag is being reported. Cant see the town or unit when trying to select it. The old app used to list your tags with the tag number and which unit they were for. It was much better.

This is the reply that I got from DEC.DEC has a new license vendor and it doesn't support the old app you have on your phone. A new app was pushed out to Google today and will soon be available on the Apple Store. We will be announcing it soon along with the instructions on what to do. Basically, you will need to uninstall the old app and install the new one with a new password and user ID. This new vendor has greater security so it is a plus.

App works great, but you need to log out and back in after the change in license vendors this year. Suck they didn't automatically do that.

This app used to be great, but since DEC changed license vendors this app does not work at all. I hope they get there stuff together because this app absolutely amazing. People I know that never called in and reported a harvest was now reporting harvests through the app

Isnt downloading my license information. You guys really need to fix the part of license showing up on this app because it never does. I had to delete this app 4 times already to seee if it would work but nope.

Do better. Act like you are competent.. do your job. Still has not updated resources to show 2021 season dates. Useless. Please report this app. Possibly fishing for private user information/credentials.

Got all registered but when i want to sign into the app it never gave me an option for a username. I have a password but no username cant find where to make one. So i just hit register new acct and it takes me right to my acct with all my info

App has been down for some time now, what gives. Review updated. App works fine, you need to un-install the app, then download it again, sign in with your previous sign in information.

Typical NY bureaucratic junk. Slow to update, hard to sign in, or even sign up. As usual, New Yorkers are stuck in 1974. I have to call in my tag, somebody please unclip this billboard from my back and I'll grab the corded landline phone from great grampa's attic......

Absolutely THE WORST APP ever ! It won't even load, let alone be able to register your game harvest. I would expect nothing less from the state of NY.

Was great until someone getting paid kickbacks probably changed it so now this app is pointless and won't work. Good going NY keep up the great work. I'm guessing Gov cummo owns the site we now use.

This app makes reporting harvested game simple and really quick. I like that I can see the history of all my reported tags. One stop shop for all hunting fishing needs from buying licenses to reporting to game laws. Great job.
