Really disappointing. I use this for my business (I like to keep my personal number private) and I've lost out on a few clients due to Hushed never sending me notifications that I've gotten a text. I even periodically check the app, and no new texts will show. But hours, sometimes DAYS later they pop up with the date it was supposed to send. This has happened three times now, at this point I'm looking for another app.
Hushed appeared to work great the 1st month I downloaded/used it a year ago. 2nd month: Incoming calls didn't ring through, outgoing calls didn't connect or when they did connect called party couldn't hear you (you could hear them). This CONTINUES to happen when your ON/OFF call routing. I've sent Support multiple msgs: Support states reset, update, "Our development team is investigating as to why this is happening but it could be how far you are located from our servers" But still no fix?? :(
Very useful as a backup phone number as long you have a WiFi on. This app saves me. I'm using it temporary until I get a new phone. I was in process of transferring my personal number to another carrier but it got back fired. My main carrier shut down the SIM card (after I already paid the bill). I'm using this app on Samsung Galaxy S7. I didn't have a problem with the app during 20 minute phone call with my parent.
Had to reinstall program and unable to sign in or reset password. This is the second time this has happened. Emailed support team 14 hours ago and no response. Program used to be better but find now I miss calls or people hang up as soon as I answer because they have been waiting for so long until the call gets to me. Edit. It has been 3 days and 5 emails and still no response.
Issues from the beginning. I tried the 7 day subscription and added a month after. For 3 days after the month was to begin, I was asked to renew. I now can't even log in even though my monthly subscription is only half over. I'm really disappointed
Of all the second number apps out there, this one is the best. I did a lot of research and compared a few myself. Their customer support is also fantastic! During my eval, I must've sent them 20+ questions over 2 weeks and 8 emails... They always answered my question instead of sending me a canned response to get rid of me.
Jan. '22: Excellent, consistent, good voice quality voip whether on the road or at home wifi! HAPPY. Older comments: 3/27/19: Great app. Simple... ZERO problems👍 5⭐ 7/01/20: "CALL ROUTING" is failing ...3⭐ Manager says: "I have taken a look at this with our team..."and no fix. But on 10/01/20 approx: Tech support and their company worked HARD to FIX any failures I was having. I mean REALLY HARD w/ Excellent results. I'll save details but - IMPRESSIVE. Kudos to them.
Avoid: contacts I have messaged through hushed are getting phishing texts from the numbers I've used after I delete the number. This shows that a bot service or someone else has access to calls made with these numbers after you've used them which makes them highly insecure.
Terrible. I paid for 30 days, and sent my sister a joke text since she is the states and I am abroad. Without investigating who the message was to , nor asking either party, my account was suspended and even though I explained the mistake they will not refund my money. Customer service is slow. Don't reccomend to anyone.
Why don't my phone ring when I get a call? Why don't I get notified when I get a text. This is really inconvenient and truly disappointing I am paying for this app and getting very poor service plus I am missing business opportunities.
Calling functions are OK. However, the texting/messaging function is not very reliable. Lots of confirmation messages failed to deliver to my Hushed app.
Wow ,just wow, it took them just 1 day after I paid for a lifetime contract to suspend my service indefinitely due to me violating there terms of service, chapter 10 laws,, also don't think for 1 minute that your text and calls are private I think they can read and will read everyone of them. After many emails back and forth they did issue me a refund so they get 1 star for that
£12.78 down the drain, the app doesn't work, can't connect to any call, everything looks fine but it doesn't work and I can't receive any verification code.
Hi I purchased 1 USA number but i am not getting any sms. I even tried with call functionality but after connecting call its mute. Neither my voice is going nor i am getting any voice. And number of allowed sms decreased from 60 to 57 and calls number also decreased. Please help me in this regard. Thanks
I have grown to dislike this app over time. Two of my biggest issues is that as you use the app more and have many text conversations you can't even do simple things like search or filter your text message or call history. Have a universal search for each number. For example now when i'm in contact area and I click a contact I can't see last time that person called or texted me. I need to go to a different area for calls or text or VM. Every area feels so segmented. Please update app features
Update: I woke next day, everything worked. No problems at all since. Not giving 5 stars yet, because I have no idea what caused it, and another similar app was working at same time on the same phone Earlier entry: Everything was working great. Then everything in the app stopped working completely. App diagnostics to clear airports and latency issues on both Verizon and Comcast networks. Everything else on the phone and in the house is working fine. Will update when app works again, if ever.
I purchased a UK number for sms texts and calls for a week. This was so I could use this number for verification purposes to sign up to a service. The number provided by Hushed was not accepted by the service I tried to sign up to so it was utterly useless.
Really good! I don't have a phone, so when I found this nice, non-expensive app, I jumped on the ride! Really nice! I only needed one line, so it's a great price! Would recommend!
App crashes as soon as I open TXT or settings, within 20 seconds of making a call. I cleared cache to no improvement.
Great App but in the last week I've been getting, multiple times a day, hang up calls from different hush numbers with the same first 6 digits. Do you have a way to stop these annoying phishing calls?
Handles business and really 499 for whole other phone line ain't so bad i just hate having to add money to my Google account month but Google has taken over 200 from me without justification and without giving it back so that's how I gotta do it. Keeps me from really doing any apps that charge monthly or if they're not over time pay apps but respect to the people at hushed for making an app I felt worthy to risk. Thanks guys. Solid app
Not reliable at all Incoming calls go straight to voicemail and the phone doesn't ring, if you are lucky enough to have the call go through at all. Most calls simply don't connect ever. Contacted support several times and no improvements. This is for an unlimited and lifetime number on both Android and iOS 12 and 14. If you were hoping to use this service as a stable and reliable phone number, you should be aware it is not reliable and you should look at another option.
I have been using your app for many years that is why am rating you guys 5Star. However, I have written to customers service about this expired number I want to restore. It has only been expired for few hours. I want to restore it immediately. According to your terms,I can restore within 7days of expiry. Please look into this
Update: This app hasn't been updated in like a year! The DESPERATELY needed a "mark as unread" option still isn't available... Kind of crazy! Also, being able to change the text bubble colors based on contacts would be helpful. Original Review: Basic functions work great. Speaker button is sometimes buggy & there's no group texting. If you want to save contacts to Hushed cloud database (so you can view it anywhere) it's gotta be done manually. Mass import would be helpful.
