HYLETE Daily Circuit Workout

HYLETE's circuit training program designed for a lifestyle of functional fitness that strives to maximize its effectiveness through a combination of endurance, strength, and cardio circuits while minimizing the time commitment required. The energy and effort must be put into the program to achieve the results, but the goal is to make the time spent as efficient as possible.

The primary goal of functional fitness is to facilitate a healthier, happier life. So, for that reason, we have created the following axioms that are applied to the Daily Circuit

1. Create camaraderie
2. Minimize the risk of injury
3. Focus on basic movements that emulate real-life situations and/or facilitate real-life needs

The HYLETE Daily Circuit is designed to be executed at 80-90% of max output so that participation in other athletic and/or fitness endeavors can be intermixed and enjoyed and NOT be impeded due to excessive soreness or injury.

Moreover, the secondary goal is to enhance other endeavors. While the HYLETE Daily Circuit can be a great addition and/or entry into other Athletic Endeavors, it does not attempt to make someone a better Powerlifter, Olympic Lifter, Gymnast, Bodybuilder, etc. These endeavors along with other ones like Football, Baseball, Basketball, Track, Golf etc. have very specific needs and require a magnitude increase in time commitments to fully achieve even intermediate proficiency and, in many cases, do so without increase in potential injuries.

Each Daily Circuit consists of a series of Movements, where a Movement is simply an exercise that has a defined set of standards and reps.

When you complete each defined Movement (typically there will be 6 per Daily Circuit) you have completed one Loop of the Circuit. Each Circuit has an allocated time period, and the goal is to complete as many Loops as possible.

The equipment required for the HYLETE Daily Circuit includes:

1 Jump Rope
2 Kettlebells
3 Wall Balls
4 Abdominal Mat
5 Pullup Bar
6 Rings
7 Standard Barbell with Bumper Plates
8 Plyobox
9 Running/Walking Space

Most gyms will have these pieces of equipment readily available, and when not, other items can be substituted to complete the circuits.
The Daily Circuit is also comprised of a warm-up and cool down period. The warmup routine is designed to be dynamic movements coupled with lower rep counts of the Circuit itself.

The Cool Down routine is designed to allow the body to cool down more gradually and statically stretch muscles while they are warm and pliable. Prior to the Cool Down routine there is an optional Bonus Terminal that is designed to allow you to get some other key benchmark exercises completed, but can also be skipped if you haven’t the energy or time to do so.

The typical HYLETE Daily Circuit follows this time allotment:

Warmup: 15 minutes
Circuit Time: 20 minutes
Bonus Terminal: 5 minutes
Cool Down: 5 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes

Update 19 june 2020: Terrible app if you want to save your workouts. I'm going on about 6 workouts in a row that will not save. Error stating "some error has occurred". Been going on for some time. Update 26 May 2020: App going downhill in service. Still missing many demo videos for.workouts, but only saves about 2 out of 5 workouts.

Great app for gym motivation. Would be even better if there were vocal cues so you didn't need to look at the phone all the time.

I love this app. Some workouts are not to my liking but very few and only due to burpees. The rest I enjoy and easy to modify if need be.

First circuit made me feel it for sure. Looking forward to tucking into the later rounds. Will check back in 6 weeks with outcomes. GREAT APP!

OK app. I don't understand why half the exercises use imperial and others use metric. Doesn't seem to be a setting to adjust.

Why is the app called Daily Circuit on my phone? I kept looking for "Hylete" and could not find it in my apps on my phone. Please change the app name to Hylete.

Beautiful free app without annoying locked or premium features. All the workouts are AMRAP. The moves are similar to CrossFit workouts of the day

I couldn't even create or log in to an account. It kept saying my email was associated with an account so I'd try to log in. Then it would say my password was invalid, so I reset it. Then it would say my password was invalid again. This bug needs to be fixed.
