I own this 3rd Edition but cannot use it on my phone because it runs Android 10 and the App needs an update for this. Also, I wish there were a Choir version for practicing in parts. That would add $ value. And I'd love to have a Gather 4th Edition, especially the 4 part choir version. I'm just a Bass choir singer, but like to practice with it on my tablet. We Have a good choir of around 18-20 singers, and I'm willing to offer to pay half the cost for each of our singers to purchase. When???
Trying to do the right thing and pay for the music instead of scanning it. what did I get for $60 ( copy of Worship and Psalm Book), can't rely on it to work when I go to sing something. app won't open. found out that I wasted $30 becausevthe Psalms are in Worship. I want my money back. Doesn't work on Chromebook or any phone I've tried it on. DO NOT USE THIS APP OR MAKE ANY PURCHASES!!!
Problems centering page on Android. Service list adds entire hymnal on iOS when using an imported pdf. The app needs redesign. It is very frustrating and not reliable.
I paid for this app when it first came out, and while it was cumbersome to use, at least I was able to use it. Now, all the songs have disappeared and the only thing left is the sample with 3 songs. Where is the rest of it? Im5very disappointed that I paid $24 for something that is now useless.
You are kidding me! I got a new tablet, one reason being because this app was not working well on my old one. And it hasn't been updated to work on new Android OS.
Several of us in my choir use this app. The android version is not very user friendly, hut especially during service
How is this useful when it has only the melody line? SATB or don't bother tiring out the electrons. Uninstall.
Very disappointed...no updates for Androids!!!!
When update please
How do you get the 1.38 version, as cannot import through drop box, .HYM need an app to open this type of file, the 1.38 version says it fixed this problem, but version on website says its still version 1.0
Great, but wish it had a print function. Or that you could send digital copies of hymns out.
Would have been better if it has many hymns with chord
Finally it's working!
The app is much more stable with the latest version. More improvements coming soon.
Got the app, looked at the samples, bought a hymnal. App crashed and I haven't been able to open it since. Support initially was responsive, but app update hasn't fixed it and no further response. Before it started crashing, it had a somewhat quirky interface--scrolling/searching were not intuitive. Hoping that with a real hymnal there will be a table of contents or something to make navigation less awkward.
It is so hard to search for a song - cannot search by page number or by any word of the song title/songwriter. I cannot even create a bookmark. I should have just purchased the paper product.
Thank you for finally creating the android version of this app. I use Flor y Canto from OCP for Spanish liturgies at my parish and use the ebook version to play from. I use Gather 3rd Edition for English liturgies and have long awaited the day I could use Gather 3rd Edition as an ebook as well. Now all my resources are easily accesible and from the comfort of my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. I would however like to request if possible to please allow rotation of the app. Thank you GIA Publications!
Edit: Looks like a mistake on my part. Gather Comprehensive 2nd Edition is what I needed. It looks like a great app, but was not what I needed. If it had the Gather Hymnal 2nd edition not comprehensive, keyboard edition it would be great.
I like that the entire book is on here on my smart phone. I'm happy with the content, but the platform is dated. The problems I see: 1. The backward/forward page turn buttons are very small and right next to each other so it's tricky to hit the right one and enjoy singing at the same time. 2. You can't swipe to turn pages. 3. All the buttons and typing fields are small, maybe so the sheet music is bigger? If there is a different way to format and get the best of both worlds that would be great.
