When you want to give someone access to your vehicle, easily create and send them a digital key. Once the invite is accepted, they will be able to use the Hyundai Digital Key app to access or control your vehicle based on the permissions and time period you’ve allowed. Also pause your own digital keys or delete shared keys using the app or on MyHyundai.com.

Unreliable. Can't use this app as it is undependable. Today it claims poor network signal. I'm at home on wifi. All bars. Took it off wifi. 4g connected. Still doesn't work. Vehicle and phone both outside. NFC is on. I was less than 5 feet from the front of the vehicle. The MyHyundai app works. Remote start worked on that app. No updates available in app store for Digital key. So Hyundai , show me you care and don't say go see your dealer like every other inquiry I've ever made.
Digikey App logged itself out after useing it to unlock and start the car after getting out of the car I went to lock it and it demanded a login so I attempted to login with ether of my accounts and both failed with please check network connection when every else was working perfectly with my phone even uninstalling it and reinstalling it did not fix it with right login and password saying and now when you send an email to the app contact information it bounces saying the email does not exist
Samsung galaxy 9+. Often get network too weak to update account info. Tried reinstall many times. Still getting same error. Whats the point of having this when its reliability is questionable at best?
It worked for literally a day. Won't login, says network issues and nothing is fixed. Also, the support email doesn't work I got a bounce back so I can't even get support. Very poor experience so far.
Repeated login issues during setup..citing poor network connection issue ..which was not true as this review got written and uploaded fast :) [Update] It seems to be a temp glitch and it worked after i left it alone for a few hours .
Had issues with the app on our 22 santa fe, but reinstalled and it works perfectly now. Couple days ago I left my fob way upstairs and didn't want to take off my shoes, run upstairs and back down again. I decided to risk using the digital key all day. Worked great for me!
I bought a 2022 Santa Fe and tried using the digital key app. It only works with NFC, not with bluetooth. It keeps on saying, "Can't get a Bluetooth connection." And no vehicle discovered. I am using Note 20 ultra.
Works just as it's suppose to. It's a different feeling using your phone to control your car versus the key fob. I'm glad Hyundai has this feature and I'm looking forward to using it for years to come!
Just bought a new Oneplus 10 Pro5G and I can't get the digital key app to work on it. It worked on my Oneplus 9 Pro 5G and the McLaren one plus. Need help to get this going. It will let me download the app ,but will not open the app at all says Were sorry this page is currently unavailable please try again, it's been saying that for over a week now. I'm wondering if I need to reset the digital key because the oneplus 9 was the primary on the account now there is no primary! Is this phone compatible or not.
I can't even start the app. I'm on a One Plus 8 Pro. I try to open the app, black screen for a second, app closes. If I try again I get the "app keeps crashing" dialoge. I was hoping Hyundai would at least be a little better than the digital key process our Chevy used. I also couldn't get Chevy's to work, but at least the app opened! If you want to truly compete with Tesla, fix your apps. Modernize and get rid of the dozen Hyundai apps you have. One app! Less confusion.
Garbage. My pin number is wrong EVERY TIME I enter it. Even after I change it and try again. This makes the app and all it claims to be able to do irrelevant. It doesn't work.
This app was great until I got a new phone and tried to log in. It kept telling me it was the wrong pin and the permanently locked me out. It would be really awesome if I could just use it.
This thing is all kinds of unoptimized, but I love the idea. It uses NFC to unlock your car with your phone and then when you connect to the wireless charger (at least it works that way in the santa fe), it lets you start your car without your keyfob. It's also useful for programming the smart card that came with my car. So here's the problem. If the smart key functionality can work on a plastic card with an NFC chip, why can't it work on my phone without an Internet connection, a super long loading app, a background service that stays in my notifications, and all the other jank? Hyundai definitely needs to optimize and streamline the experience, and it should also work offline like the smart card.
Nice feature and works perfectly with my pixel 3xl Some minor complaints is that the car sometimes doesn't recognize my phone when I put it next to the door handle to lock or unlock. Sometimes I'll have to attempt more than once. The other glaring omission from the app is that it doesn't support remote parking feature as the key fob does. That completely defeats the purpose of having a digital key if all the features from the key fob is not present on the app.
The dealership claimed this feature would be so useful. Another lie from Hyundai of Seattle. The App is a joke. Do not waste your time. Unlike others, I was able to load and get it working with some failed requests. My one star rating is because the system restricts other features in the car from use. I was not able to use the radio or roll up or down my windows. I didn't check other items like wipers, charging ports, etc. I did have all permissions checked.
App works well, but having a weird issue with the digital key disappearing after I used it to unlock and start the car. Not sure if I have to restart the app or pair the key again. Sometimes car doesn't detect the key either when placed into wireless charging pad, did that three times in a month so I don't know. I hope this gets fixed
It would have been nice to know in advance that, unlike the PR material that lists minimum Android requirements, Digital Key only works with certain phones. I side loaded the app and it does a device check so no love for my Galaxy Fold. So I guess we're dependent on Hyundai to keep the app updated as new phones are released if we want it to work with the Sonata's signature feature. Yeah, that'll end well. :rolleyes:
Can't do anything. Always get the message "Working in offline mode. Network connections is not stable" even while using Wi-Fi or 5G.
Digital key works great! I really appreciate not carrying a key when I exercise. Offline access means I haven't been stranded yet :-)
This app has helped me a few times when I stepped outside to get something from my car and forgot my keys. It's easy to use and I recommend it as a backup to your normal key.
Works now with s20 plus. After the update it didn't but after uninstalling and installing again today I was able to get it to work now. It still isn't on the list of compatible phone yet but does open now and pair. Only four stars because it took a few minutes to pair correctly and still has a few quirks. For now I can say it does work with s20 plus.
I just purchased a 2020 Sonata; I absolutely love the car. It has ALL the features I want. My only complaint is the Hyundai Digital Key APP and the extremem difficulty I am having with it. My problem is this, I have a Samsung a10E; the Digital Key App is not compatible. This is really disappointing that I am unable to use the digital key with my phone. When will the app get upgraded? Will I be notified of the upgrade? How come the S10 is compatible and not the a10E? Please help....I would like to be able to truly enjoy my car.
Constantly loses Bluetooth connection, NFC still works but can't use anything else. Bluetooth works at least once a month.
Works well for me! Paired easily. Wish the app had widgets - would be great to have a button on my screen for lock/unlock etc. This works within ~15 feet of my Kona, while the bluelink stuff works from anywhere but has a ~20 second delay and sometimes needs multiple authentications (fingerprint, pin, etc). The bluelink app has a good widget, I hope the Digital Key app copies that feature!
The concept is neat and can be useful. The car however cannot detect my phone even though my phone is connected to my car via Bluetooth. The NFC features are enabled and I tried to connect with and without wifi. Still no success (and yes I do place the phone on the charging pad every attempt).
Worked fine to my old phone, can't get it to work on my new info. Always says check Network can't get the key made even if it does connect. From five stars to one star and one new phone.
Get the unable to detect network error. One plus nord phone. No clue anywhere what this actually indicates but obviously this app has been kind of tossed aside or something. Disappointing too because the bluelink app is great Edit: Finally got it to work, but I don't know why I had to do this solution. I was using a phone without a sim card to set this up (I wanted to enable the NFC key card i got with the car) and the solution was to throw a sim card inside of it. Even though i had wifi access the app didn't like that.
I was really excited about this piece of tech included with a great car. The tech was a big selling point for me over the competition and I was told as long as I have an android phone, it's compatible. Well, that's not true. I have a One Plus 7 Pro and it's compatible with the One Plus 6, the previous model?? I'm only hoping the developers are adding more phones using Android...
Had some difficulty setting this app up initially but that was because the dealership made things difficult and wasn't much help resolving things. But once it was set up it seems to work fine but I have minimal time using it. I would love to see an WearOS add on, it would be great to unlock my phone with my watch.
The app is functional but the nfc only method of opening or vehicle isn't the best way to utilize a digital key. It would be nice if you added the UWB (Ultra Wide Band) technology to the app and let us unlock the vehicle without taking our phones out of our pocket. UWB is an awesome technology and should be utilized.
