Jez, you won't believe how terrible this application is, with insufferable lags and stutters on 2022 flagship phones. Upd: challenge accepted. Each time you'll delete a review I'll post a new one, and this will last until the application will be updated.
Worse than terrible. Pass and app are not compatible. You cannot book anything from the app, even though ot tells you to do so. DO NOT BUY THE PASS or use the app.
Terrible, don't be fooled by their lies. Went to attractions and museums advertised as free with the city card only to be asked to pay admission with discount.
Having a lot of problems with using the GVB travel part of digital card its not scanning a lot of times.
Sometimes the app "loses" your ticket and all of your favorites, sometimes nothing loads at all, sometimes both happen. Has some good features and search functionality. Convenient to have everything in hand. Good customer service, had a problem with the Metro and they were able to resolve it fairly quickly. See their comment below if you have a similar issue
I've just arrived in Amsterdam, I opened the app to activate my card but the app keeps crashing. It only loads a white screen with "I Amsterdam city card" written in black then it crashes. This is extremely inconvenient, and I am unable to use my card now. I have to find a selling point in the city and try to convince them to provide me with an alternative. 😤😤😤

I don't know about the other reviews but I didn't have any problems. Most museums are listed and marked if included in the I Amsterdam card or offers a discount. You can directly book a time slot from the app if needed. We'll definitely be back in Amsterdam and be using the City Card and the app with it again.
Disappointed. It crashes on the second day. I have a 72 hour card, a LOT of money. I think for that amount of money you can programme a decent card app. Now I have to discuss with the tram drivers, the museum entrance staff and probably need to get the paper card at the Central Station. So much for convenience. Please, please fix this.
REALLY SLOW App, all the reviews are true, the app seems to have good information but it works really slow even on high end phones. I don't know the developers don't do something about it.
Waste of time. Keeps buffering, too slow. I haven't even got to the front screen. I wouldn't even give it one star but I had no option.Terrible
The app is worse than you think from the reviews. I guess the problem with it stems from corona regulations, namely you have to book everything in advance, but it could have been organized better.

Terrible , ordered an I amsterdam card digital version and the app says the code has already been registered.... no response when contacting them either. Have updated the review, after it was changed to a physical card I had no issues other than it didn't work for travel after activation, this wasn't an issue as I already had a travel card. Highly recommend just using a physical card as it was a much better experience.
