I.C.E. Lock

I.C.E. Lock is a simple, free app that lets you show your emergency info on your phone's existing lockscreen.
It's like a Medic Alert bracelet for your phone
- emergency responders can see the emergency info they need, even if you're unconscious, and even if your phone is locked. But they don't have full access to your phone, because you've locked it like you normally do.

Unlike other emergency apps, I.C.E. Lock does not make you install a custom lock screen. It works with your current security, so you can keep your lock screen looking just the way you want it to.

I.C.E. Lock does this by showing your emergency info as an ongoing "notification", just like those used for incoming emails, texts, and so on. But this notification is always there
- it won't go away unless you decide to turn it off. And it stays out of the way, using a lower priority setting than other notifications.

Until you touch it, the notification simply shows "My Emergency Info
- swipe down for more".

If someone swipes down, your emergency details are shown
- a large headline and up to 6 or 7 lines of smaller text. If your phone is locked, that's all they can see. If your phone is unlocked, they can tap for more information that you control.

Setting up I.C.E. Lock is very simple:
- Enter the emergency info that you want to be shown on your lock screen.
- Preview the notification until you get it looking the way you want.
- That's it!

Once set up, this app needs no further attention. The notification will appear on your status bar and your lock screen, even if you reboot your phone. It will keep doing its job unless you decide to turn it off.

Best of all, I.C.E. Lock is FREE with NO ADS. I created it for my own use, and I thought other people might find it handy too.

Known issue: In rare cases (usually after rebooting the phone), the app launches to a blank screen. Just rotate the phone and it will appear correctly.

Nice but! When the screen licks up, sometimes, the app shows in the notification area. At other time it doesnt. The response is erratic. Otherwise, this is very good. Thanks.

I have used this app for a few years now and it's gives me a sense of comfort to know if anything happens to me , my family can contact me and knows the blood type etc without having to guess the password on mymobile. Best thing is there's no Ads or required purchase. Thanks to the developer.

I really like the app but the icon is only small and not shown in colour on Samsung s9 is there a way of making it bigger. I would like to know if all our emergency services are aware of the app and how many people in general public are familiar with it

The notification has a tendency to disappear after some time. Have to open app to make it reappear. I'm using OPPO 9. Hope you can fix this issue.

No updates in 2 years? The lock screen display is very sporatic now that Android 11 is in place on my LG v60 dual screen. Could ya give it a cursory glance, maybe a once over to see if something can be tweaked... when you get a minute.

Good app, but I don't need to see my details every time I pull down the notification panel, is there a way to remove this? Also having the app on the lock screen means I can't display my info in case the phone is lost.

I've had another app on my phone but I can't get the same app on my tablet. I'm very much wanting to switch but it does need the ability for a photo.

Great app but would like option to only display on lock screen and not have to have it on pull down when open.

Does what it says. Could be at the top of list of notifications. Can get a bit buried.

Simple app. Gives numbers on the lock screen which is what I wanted. Thanks Dave. The one thing I don't like is that the notification icon at the top of my screen when unlocked. Since my phone auto locks chances are the only person who will ever see that is me and I don't need to see it. If my phone is unlocked then anyone can check my contacts for ICE. Most people won't know what the icon means and so won't swipe but will just look for contacts straight away. I recall some other app which gives an option to hide notifications on the bar but still show them on lock screen. That functionality would be appreciated if you have the time Dave.

This is the best ICE app I've used, and I tried several of them. It is simple and effective, and doesn't change your lock screen. And with a recent update, the developer has given users a way to prioritize the ICE notification info on the lock screen. Now mine is always visible, even when there are multiple notifications on my lock screen! I highly recommend this app to every Android OS user!!! You never know when first responders will have to attend to you. Thanks, Dave!!
