I Can Communicate! AAC
I Can Communicate! includes a searchable database of over 13,000 high quality pictograms, and the ability to import and export user files. Direct feedback from users as well as professionals who work in the AAC field were incorporated in the app design process.
Features Include:

- Quick Talker Mode for those that only retrieve preprogrammed messages

I Can Communicate! was built by a collaborative team of experts in the field of Augmentative and Alternative Communication at the Center for Applied Rehabilitation Technology at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. The development of this app was made possible through a grant from the Disability Communication Fund.
The pictograms used in I Can Communicate! are the property of the Aragon Government and have been created by Sergio Palao for ARASAAC which distribute them under the Creative Commons License (BY-NC-SA).
*Note: Please update Google TTS to ensure that the app is able to access the latest speech enhancements available on Android. Search for "Google TTS" on the Google Play Store and click on "Update" if available. Also set the default Text-to-Speech Output to "Google Text-to-Speech Engine" within Settings>Accessibility.

So far my only issue is when the editing is locked. The pop-up explaining it's locked requires me to click the small OK button. This is distracting and with poor motor skills leaves someone struggling to click OK. It would be nice to have an lock or unlock slider or something blocking the configuration.
Needs dark mode and an additional quick talk mode that adds a talk-as you-type option as used in other AACs. For example in the type section when users type a word and hit space the word is spoken. Also the type interface needs an additional backspace or a long press option on the exiting backspace button that can remove the previous word all at once one word at a time and each word after that the longer the backspace is held down.
Really good! This is so great. Its really helpful. Has several languages. And I like it has different accents! It allows you to upload your own images and create your own button. You have quite a bit of control to personalise the app. Very good stuff!!
This is a great app if you have a disability where you can't talk and have limited mobility. Push one button he was picky phrase or say a word that you pre-programmed into the buttons. The settings are simple and easy to suit one's needs.
Years ago I paid a small fortune for a program on the ipad for my nonverbal autistic daughter. When the ipad died, and I could not afford another, she lost the program. While not as intricate, this app was pretty well made. Although in the end, I went with LetMeTalk, this app was a strong contender and is very well designed.
When quick talk mode is enabled it says the word twice which gets annoying fast. Would be nice to have a way to crop imported symbols so they weren't so small
Mostly very good but I wish I could enable quick mode and still have the option to type. Also wish enter would activate speach when typing.
It's a great tool. My son wont use it but he could. Weve needed something like this for so long! Our problem is that hes now 26. If wed have had this when he was 1st learning picture exchange no telling how far hed have gone.
Excellent App only negative is that symbol box's cannot be made a bit larger .but still a great asset to anybody with speech issues
would be good on a tablet. A way of deleting or altering buttons added would be a way of improving the application.
I like this app a lot! I wish I had the ability to rearrange the buttons, to make them more orgainzed!
With exception of the inability to change language gender, this app is perfect for my dysphasic son.

Easy to use, great flexibility, easy to tailor to individual needs.
I think this app will improve your communication alot better or not it tells u diffrence what the person saying to you but u don't understand what going to say it's more difficulties for right children who need this app getting know u better
Not able to hear the sound when we are clicking on some buttons
I like the APP, I just wish I could change the voice gender.
It's a good app, but it would be nice to be able to choose different voices.
It helps me when I'm having hard times. Sometimes when I'm having a meltdown, I get stuck with what I want to say. So I type out what I want to say, and it can speak it to me, my friends and family.
Can you please fix the voice on here. I need it to communicate with. I'm aphasic.

Lovely, easy use
Amazing app! Highly customizable and bilingual if you speak Spanish and English. You can add images to the buttons and customize colors. You can also create categories for them and there's even a typing box option. This will make communication easier for me, thank you!
