I Meet Myself

NEW L.O.F.T.Y. and NEW ending for Chapter 2! Play to find out what is L.O.F.T.Y.!

An immersive text-based journey that inspires people towards self-discovery and emotional maturity. Have you ever felt lost? Don’t know what you want? Do you think you really know yourself? Feel life again from a new perspective.

I Meet Myself is an original text-based story with thought provoking elements. The story aims to provide an experiential emotional journey (rather than being overly informative), while encouraging one to philosophise about one’s meaning in life in an open, patient and compassionate manner.

The story starts off with an amnesiac main character who gradually learns of the world within and without. Similarly, this relates to ourselves when we start on our journey of rediscovering ourselves. Read, absorb, relate, question and grow with the main character that encounters the many beliefs and quirks of others and within oneself.

Main features:
- Thought provoking story
- Multiple choices
- Multiple scenarios
- Ambient background music
- Minimalistic design
- Nudging questions
- Autosave feature

FAQ
1. Will the game be translated into Portuguese (and other languages)?
Thank you for your interest in the game. We hear your requests and do have plans to translate it into multiple languages (including Portuguese). As of now, we are looking at releasing Chapter 6 before we consider tackling the translations next. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

2. Do my choices or input affect the game or story?
Yes and no. On one hand, the story is largely linear with minor maneuvers and most choices and input are for the user's self-reflection and experience. On the other hand, most chapters do have multiple endings, and the choices made can affect how the story progresses.

It's a beautifully crafted app with very deep, meaningful, and nearly poetic storytelling. The questions are thought-provoking and raw along with its passages. However, if the progress could be saved as a file or a slot rather than screen-shotting each review, it would be more convenient. Additionally, the lack of access to the fifth chapter is both baffling and disappointing particularly when there was no indication prior to downloading that the fifth chapter required an upgrade to Pro.

This game is amazing! Im not even sure if i can call it a game! Its so good at helping you rediscover yourself without needing to ask someone else for help. I have a few indecisive friends and they would really want to experience this. Apart from that, the music is completely fitting for the mood, each chapter is great (even though im only done with the 1st one), and the questions just add to everything. Questioning yourself can sometimes be difficult when you can't decide. This app is stellar!

This is a very beautiful story and has definately helped me with understanding bigger life questions and knowing different view points of the world. I would suggest maybe adding a save feature to make it easier to get the other endings in Chapter 3 and 4. Also, if you can, add more songs to the background music. This is such a well crafted game, and I take off my hat to you guys for gifting us this beautiful work!

The creators are amazing! How can you make something like this? Playing this game feels relaxing. Feels like attending a very relaxing counseling session. And honestly, I opened more page of myself that I haven't known before. About the ads, those are completely normal. Only at the bottom of main menu, and when you want to go back to main menu. And the ads only a picture, not a video that you should wait for several seconds.

Disclaimer: I only finished the first chapter. The writing is very cheesy and not really good. It just throws philosophical thoughts around and tries to set a plot but doesn't really succeed. The UI is ugly and the text speed made my head hurt and didn't match the peaceful tone of the music. I think an option to adjust text speed would be great. I personally found the 10 character minimum an annoyance and ended up spamming spaces so I wouldn't have to write more

Don't get me wrong, the idea of the game is amazing and very self-invloving but I got bored fairly quickly. Having gone through many of the thought processes myself, the thought processes of the character seem a bit too...how should I put it, fickle from moment to moment. Also, there isn't much interaction from the user which I thibk draws away from the game. I like things that I can interact with and see the different reactions to things (such as puzzles that test mental health or something).

Ads. Ads /everywhere/. When you click on some text (sentences you need to click on to advance the story), an ad pops up. These sentences come up every few seconds, so that's an ad every few seconds. It's ridiculous and imediately pulls you out of the emersive atmosphere this game gloats about having in a very jarring fashion. Interesting concept, but I can't give more than two stars.

Brilliant app. Really helped me to understand myself better and feel more motivated. Found it so much better than some of the other "prettier" and more well known apps out there like Wysa. It asks you all the right questions without ever feeling too scripted or responding weirdly. I also find it really relaxing to do when I'm feeling extra stressed out and can't get to sleep. Thank you for this app!

It is beautifully written, and leaves so much space to be curious about myself. A true artwork, and a truly beautiful and healing experience. I almost didn't install it because there is so little description - so I think it might be good to write a bit more, so more people can find it :) Edit: I now saw a beautiful description in the "what's new" section - might be good to put that into a different section :)

Wonderfully put together and moving. I enjoyed the 3 chapters and looking forward to the 4th. This did help me and I was skeptical. I usually don't try these types of apps or write reviews. Great work. The world could use more of this. Music was perfect. I would love to see some visuals.

This app amazing, the game teaching people to reflect about themselves and knowing the meaning of life. But for now i'll give it a 4 stars or supposed to be 4.5, reason is i think for a faster ways to reach another ending cause i want to know another ending but i'm too lazy to redo all the chapter. Another reason is the music, the music is good and relaxing, but i think the song ended in the middle then start over again. it need a crossfade before it repeating and 1 or 2 new songs will be good

The gameplay is self defining. If people take it seriously its taken seriously, if not it is plain. Its a textbook adventure to say in short. Answers dont matter to story, its just to self reflect oneself, choices are usually quite unimportant, except some. I loved the story of the weak character, but I hate to have to pay for the ending. That's all.

An interesting concept for sure and for the first 20 minutes this game had my attention. But predictivly the story played out as you can only choose from a limited option of responses, and after choosing a response and a brief narrative, you're left to choose from what's left of the other responses. And this plays out over every story as the game directs you where to go, what to read, and ultimately end up at the same ending regardless of decision choices. What's the drive to truly play?

A little struggle to answer some of the questions truthfully (are you a perfectionist and does it bother you? Yes and no but only one answer optional). But thats not the point of this app. It's to help you talk to yourself. To look at your life and question the bigger picture. Its not meant to be a fun gameplay experience. Brilliant little existential experience to be had with this.

a poetic thought experiment that really helped me feel proud of who I am and how far I have come. the language, while unconventional, wasn't really grammatically incorrect and though at times it made me a bit uncomfortable, as it wasn't what I am used to, it was, overall a breath of fresh air and a really unique way of expressing ideas and concepts. I don't usually write reviews, but this deserves it. it isn't perfect, but it is an elegant, valuable, and beautiful experience.

Feels like consulting with a fortune-teller. You provide inputs and it bounces back to you as pretentious, cryptic "answers" to questions you aren't even asking. The app itself is mediocre as the music is generic and most (if not all) of the "choices" steer down to a single path. I guess if you're emotionally lost it would benefit you somehow, but if that's the case then might as well talk to a real person.

Literally my favorite app. The only thing that bugs me is the diamonds. I've done pretty well so far, playing this game since it was released; I was already playing HSS and HU, so it was advertised in game), and never buying a single diamon. Lately it's making me feel helpless - like the diamond options are major plot lines that I'm missing out on, just because I can't afford it. But, all the same, I'll keep on playing and falling in love with the characters. #bringbackbeckett

it's a simple game, simple choices, simple graphics- but the questions it asks, with the imagery it sets made me question so much, and brought me to tears. it's a beautiful game about struggling but also finding hope, if that is your life to live. The discussions are meanigful as is the dialogue, there are so many phrases and messages to breathe in.

Relaxing and meditative, then suddenly a blaring commercial! Ugh. As for the app itself... the questions are great but the story is boring, even annoying. Get rid of the jarring ads and story, maybe add in a soothing watercolor background, and it would be 5 stars.

It was going good till i got to the end of chapter 1 and it was clear it was the end cause it wasnt going to go on any longer. I exited the chapter and tried going to the second chapter but it said i had to finish the first. I went back to check and it was for sure done but i couldnt continue. I really wish i could have because it was a fun game. Please fix this!

It should have been a bit more interactive, even though the story was interesting, it can get you bored in a short time. I usually don't mind games that are not that interactive, but this was like reading a book honestly. Which is great, but still... It was beautifully written, but it should have had a better execution. Try it out if you enjoy e-reading.

This is such a good app! It's really calming, helps you. Open up, and really helps gather your thoughts, and think about who you are, and accepting who you are. It's very deep and should be way more popular than it is! The ads are less than average ads, so there's not many, and no ads pop up during gameplay. Only in settings or when you are over viewing chapters. Highly recommend, this is an app everyone should have!

This game requires nothing but a moment to think, and a real reason to be better. If you, literally, need to go through a new makeover for yourself, this app is definitely a good place to start... Be ready to tear up... I know I can be emotional but usually, in games like this, I'm quite reserved. Just finished Chapter 2, I've teared 5 times. Full blown cried, 1. At most, the real should be 1:1. Score card: [FC] -1, [TE] +3 FC=Full Cry TE=Teary Eyes

I found it boring to be honest. I can see some people may like it. It's a choose your own adventure story. It's written well but often offers choices with only the Illusion of choice. All answers seem to lead to the same thing. In the story some questions the characters ask you it really feels like it's gathering information about you to sell off to advertisers. It asks what your hobbies are etc. I am unsure if this is somehow related to the story later on or not I didn't get very far into it.

I really want to give this app a chance, but everytime I answer, no kidding, I either get an ad or re-directed to a website. I find it odd nobody else mentioned this problem. It says to play in a place without distracitons, but the game itself is full of them.

Won't even open. I'm on an android device (because we all know they're going to use that generic response) and it keeps crashing. I've tried on mobile data and multiple different wifi sources. It just crashes the moment I open it. It's the only app that does it too. Garbage.

It doesn't let you pick, sometimes (most the times) it will only have one choice for. There was a certain part in the first chap where it asks you to move or do an action. When you choose what you want they make you restart so that you have to pick the one they want you to, so you can continue playing.
