I shop New World

Really awful app. I was really looking forward to online shopping starting at my local New World branch, but this app is basically unusable. The basket is stuck covering 3/4 of the screen so I can't see anything but the top row of products. Clunky design, not user friendly at all, and no desktop alternative!! I'm so disappointed, until there's a vast improvement (complete redesign??) my online orders will be going to Countdown.

I like the app and swiping things into a shopping basket. I also like that when buying fresh produce you can either purchase by unit or weight. What I don't like is spending half an hour of my life putting things into my shopping basket, only for the app to close without warning which means I've lost all my shopping. Super frustrating.

Love shopping online, saves me so much time. But I've been having problems with the app freezing up and not loading. Not letting me edit an order which means I have to do another order to get everything, which means another fee. Very frustrating! Close to giving up and trying a different supermarket.

I find the app very disappointing. Searches dont necessarily bring up products (but searching by brand might show it) and you can only see a tiny selection on a phone screen so have to keep scrolling horizontally. Ingredients are not included which makes this a nightmare as a food allergy family. It's incredibly frustrating not being able to do this on my laptop and is an accessibility issue. Would love to be able to do online orders from New World! Waiting for an online browser version :(

Worst app I have ever used. I've been using this for a while. I like to put things in the basket and if I don't have time to go shopping at the end of the week, I just click and collect, if I have time I use as a shopping list. But it is really slow, crashes, empties your cart, and on any given day, doesn't know what simple things are when you search for them (sorry cant give an example) Annoying that you can't buy or I can't find fresh items like a hot chicken , fresh fish that is on special.

Works well. I think the product aisle display is a little quaint, I would prefer a more basic list display (particularly since images don't load sometimes). I like the option of buying veges each or by kg. I like that I can change/update my order prior to delivery if I forget an item. Only problem that takes it down to *** - does not seem to be an alcohol category in the app, yet there is on the website? The issue is no alcohol order on the app, and photos not loading?

paying the service fee and not getting the service you want. I ordered items, and then they delivered less than half of it saying they did not had it in stock. however still they charge service fee! what is the 0oint of using this device when I have to spend my time again going to store? just another way to charge $10 more probably! if you think the app might save your time, which is what i thought, that is not the case, you lose time and money and even extra time and money.

It does the job. There are things in store that you can't get on the app like fresh herbs. It has minimum amounts of meat you can get, like 400g, so if you just want one person worth of meat for one meal too bad. The search function seems to be hit or miss, I searched all kinds of variations of nestle gold kit kat before it brought it up with all the other nestle stuff. Also worth noting that your frozen foods are not kept frozen at pickup, just in chilly bags. so if you're at the end of the hour your frozen stuff might start defrosting.

What is happening with this app? For the last couple of weeks it has been freezing, kicking me out, & i have to keep logging in. Now when i do get in, there is some box that pops out from the side with a total cost in my trolley as i add something new. How about fixing the app so we can get in & stay in without it freezing & losing whats in our trolleys, instead of coming up with some stupid pop up box that is of no use. I had to uninstall & reinstall, it worked for a while, now its frozen.

App keeps crashing. Can't do my ishop order for tomorrow! Tried to restart my phone several times, but nothing works. When I try to type a new item, the app just closes. When I try to increase the number of items I want to buy, nothing happens. It just freezes. Very frustrated.

Easy to use remembers last purchases which makes for a quicker shop but doesn't show all of them, only thing would be to add your most frequent purchases to make for an even quicker shop. Delivery drivers are super onto it here in the opotiki new world. Makes for a good experience all round. Really good for me during lockdown and after with a newborn, saves us the risky trip to the store.

Just a suggestion I have no interest in click and collect or delivery but if I could use the same app to complie a shopping list as I go during the week because I always get home only to realize I have forgotten something. And it would also be good for families keeping to a budget being able to see what there shop is going to cost so they can choose what items they may want to drop before or if they if they can manage a bit extra before they even get to the shop

Not super intuitive. There is also some kind of bug that won't let me access the shopping categories unless I confirm my checkout which is not very useful since I want to add more things to my trolley. Also can you please add a 'this is just a cost list' feature so I can load a trolley and know about how much it is going to cost without getting all the prompts to choose a time slot since I'm actually going to come buy it myself. Especially since the actual list feature struggles to load at all.

I have a new Samsung s20+. When I use this app it automatically reverts the screen to split screen (and no that doesn't happen for any other apps). Ok .. so then I close split screen and attempt to login. It never succeeds, but just sticks with the loading icon. My internet connection is also fine. Something wrong with this app.

I have been using Ishop since it became available and have no problems until the last couple of weeks. The app has been not opening causing me to uninstall and reinstall which is frustrating. An twice now I harvested to edit my order but it just wont load. Other then that I have loved using the app because it is very convenient. I hope this aspect is rectified soon

Very difficult to sign up. Harder than getting a bank account. Doesn't have the ability to sort by unit price low to high and vice versa. This is the best feature of most other online shopping sites. The app is clunky and seems to be a vanity project. Just make a website like a normal store and it would be much better.

I cannot put in my local store. (Can't find it in the search even) It defaults to Korore in the North Island that I cannot change which is no good for me in the South Island. Looking forward to an upgrade so this app and a service is functional for me. I realise everyone is under pressure at this time and know the supermarkets and staff are doing a fantastic job!

I like using this app now. It takes some time to know your way around. But it's great compared to other online shopping apps. My only suggestion is to please add a picture of the back of the food packets where ingredients and nutritional information is listed. As it makes it easier to shop online for people with special diets and allergies. Thanks . I would give it 5 stars otherwise

Product photos are now showing up. Thanks team! Review on 3 April 2020:App has no pictures of the items. So all you see is the price and you have to click on each individual one to figure out which item it is. A bit of a hassle.

Well my recommendation is that this is a great app. I work for Spark and I have a lot of elderly customers who will love this service. 1 it's super simple to download and sign up. 2 easy to choose pick up or delivery. 3 select what you want and add to your cart. Update keeps crashing, have tried installing again only to have it shut down before loading the front page. Lost my timeslot today when doing my order, timed out on me and couldn't get back in to retrieve it. Pretty annoying when you spend so much time doing it.

Being kicked out of time slots days before it should expire without any warning. It's not good enough! Being immune compromised during this lockdown, click & collect is really important. I appreciate supermarkets are under pressure but it would be great if you could fix this problem or at least put out a warning that the slot is going to expire more than 4 days prior.

An excellent app. I had no issues with down loading or using the app. very easy to understand and very simple to use. Only issue is - not everything seems to be on offer to buy, and this could be because they have run out of stock. So I just got something similar - which I would of done if I was in the shop.

Clunky, slow, takes ages to see pricing. Can't see it from search can only see on the items them selves. Save your self time, just shop online at countdowns website since new world doesn't even have one yet. Seems like they came to the online shopping party too late with substandard infrastructure

All the time slots have gone. By that I mean they do not show up at all now. I had to log on through a browser to make an order and pick a time slot as you can see them that way. I actually uninstalled and reinstalled to app. No difference. Please fix your app.

I was really looking forward to using this but the stupid basket keeps getting stuck in the middle of the page and won't swipe down. All I can see are the products on the top shelf and nothing below. So frustrating. Might as well have gone in store for all of the time I have wasted!

Cannot get past the delivery method. Very frustrating and often can not get the pictures of products. You need to sort this web site out or you will lose customers. Only managed to get into the site by changing the delivery to pickup. Then had to remember to change it back at the checkout after I finished my shop

Have placed an order for delivery Sunday 5th April however when trying to edit list it wont let me. It adds it on but won't let me save changes. It then directs me to the use the app but that doesn't even work. I can't log on. This is so frustrating & stressful!!

Can't log in. Changed my password and tried again. Uninstalled and reinstalled but still couldn't log in to the app. Clicked 'forgot password' and followed the email and changed the password that way but still doesn't work. So it's essentially an unusable app at the moment. Can log in to the website fine though.

The app is hopeless! The pictures wont load and many products don't have labels to identify what they are so without the picture you have absolutely no idea what to select. Such a shame because the idea is fantastic but right now its unusable.
