iArrest

Your personal assistant in challenging cardiac arrest scenarios.

iArrest was developed to give healthcare professionals a powerful tool to navigate stressful and challenging cardiac arrest calls. Whether as a Paramedic on scene or as a clinician in hospital, this app can assist in running structured and effective adult cardiac arrest scenarios. Developed by an anaesthetist training in London, this app takes into consideration the most recent Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines 2015.

It serves as an aide-memoire for basic tasks that can easily be overlooked in stressful scenarios. iArrest also incorporates a number of timers to assist with rhythm analysis, adrenaline timings and arrest duration. It will remind the user via audible and visual cues about necessary interventions even if a clinician’s phone is muted. iArrest has been programmed to prevent phones from going into sleep mode, in order to ensure continuous use throughout the arrest.

iArrest will record the exact time an important event or an intervention has occurred and present the user with a detailed log of events. These logs can be copied to the clipboard and used for documentation and record keeping.

Essential new app. Due to better Early Warning Scoring systems arrest calls are more infrequent. In trained hands this app will help an arrest team to work more slickly and prevent any delays to critical interventions. The log gives an accurate summary of actions which is a great aide and frees up a scribe to help the team with compressions or other actions. All round excellent app.

This is an absolutely amazing app! Have used in practice and is brilliant for staying focused and sticking to the algorithm in what can be a very stressful situation. Thank you!

The last time there was something this good it was sliced bread. Yep litterally the best thing since sliced bread. Don't ever go to an arrest without it. Going to use it to train juniors too! Two thumbs up from me!

This app is designed to maximise patient safety. Every clinican involved in arrests should have this app. Easy to use, logs what you have done and helpfully prompts you to the next step in the resus algorithm. Can also be used to retrieve data for logbook purposes. It's a win win situation.

No metronome sound or 2-minute timer. Can't undo an accidentally-pressed action. A good idea, but poorly executed.

needs an option for antidysrhythmic such as amiodarone. also needs a feature to alert every 2 minutes for pulse check. if these are added i will download again and would even pay.

Excellent app. One thing that I consider may improve it, is the addition of a metronome when pressing the 30:2 button.

Easy to use format. Excellent tool to aid in running an arrest. Great for junior Drs unfamiliar with the procedures.

Antiarrhythmic options needed with adjustable timer. Also add airway size/depth.

Great app. Esp as it produces a log of the arrest to accurate record sequence of events.

Would be good if rhythm check timer reset after shock, as by time shocked CPR/rhythm check is out by about 15 seconds
