HOW DOES THE TECH WORK?
As you read this text, billions of brain cells are generating measurable electrical activity across your brain. Extensive scientific research has revealed how all our mind states (relaxation, focus, anxiety, sleep, meditation...) correspond to specific brainwave patterns. All the feelings, thoughts, and actions we engage in on a daily basis are somehow electro-chemically rooted in neuron-to-neuron communication and so reflected in our ever-changing brainwave states.
Due to the tendency of our brains to synchronize with external stimuli, it is possible to use sound to influence the amplitude of our various brainwave frequencies. For example, as you listen to an alpha brainwave track, certain areas of your brain want to quite literally follow the rhythm and get synchronized to the speed of alpha waves. When that happens, you might feel the calm and open focus that is associated with alpha rhythms.

I love the app I've been using it for about a year now, it saves space on purchased tracks and is organized well. I like going to a dedicated app and the app is clean (no ads) The ability to create custom playlists is great. If you haven't tried iAwake there are free tracks and there's a "track of the week" you can try. Personally I love that these are purchases and not subscriptions. Subscriptions stress me out and I don't want to be dependent on them for this kind of practice.
Will update to a 5 if this is fixed. Right now I am trying out the free version before paying, but I am about to delete the app because it keeps running even after I shut it down. I see others have combined about this issue and developers have updated to "fix bugs", this issue doesn't seem like it is one they have tackled yet. I have to go into settings and hit Force Stop, I guess. I love these kind of tracks and if this issue is resolved I will definitely try the paid version!
Originally gave it 3 to compromise, since the internal workings of the app itself were good while the android interface made it semi unusable, but still worth the trouble. With the latest update the app is now so buggy it's gone from semi unusable to nearly useless. It still plays the tracks, but almost nothing beyond that without locking up completely, so I'm going to have to downgrade to 1 star, sadly. Love iAwake and always will, but for now the app's a sour disappointment...
Wow!! Seriously, just download and try it. I just deleted all my other meditation apps! Heartwave & Profound Meditation 3.0 are JUST WOW!!
I love this app! Downloading iAwake audio tracks and playing through my audio player was such a chore. This app eliminates all that. It connected right to my iAwake purchases and everything was available for streaming or download. I also appreciate having some documentation for the technology in the app. Great job!
Binaural is amazing and this is the best binaural i've ever found. The company is always inovating, developing and growing. Many amazing sound producers add to the library
Cannot stop it running in the background and it drains my battery. Only way to stop it is to reboot my phone so I am uninstalling it. I do like the content though that's why the 3 stars not 1.

This is the best company I have seen in my life great customer support anything is best quality . But my one condition is please create your app good stylish user interface . Another thing is very fantastic .

This app keeps crashing my phone, i had uninstalled it and tried to install again and it seems absolutely unusable atm. Hopefully I can get some support as i don’t use computer, if this doesn't work on my android I will ask for all my money back for the tracks i paid for cos unable to use unfortunately
