Portfolio doesn't load and gets stuck. I have a high speed internet at home and its annoying that portfolio doesn't load and it gets stuck to see the balance . I have to close the app and restart to see the balance and the instant up and downs of the day. iPhone app is far better than android app. I use Samsung Galaxy s21 plus. Not sure if the device is causing this issue
(update Thanks for removing the ESG banners.)This app has always been a little clunky and it's a pain to log in. Recently they've tried to integrate ESG investing which is okay there's some things that I won't invest in. It's a personal decision. I feel that most of the ESG scores are based on opinion and it's one more way to push the market. It now takes more scrolling to look at actual fundamentals of a company.
Requires swipes from the screen edge while Android already uses this for navigation (Back/Home) so anything behind a swipe is fully inaccessible. Maybe design an app for mobile phones when you make an app for mobile phones...
Don't bother with this app and instead sign in through a web browser on a PC. I spent 3-4 days talking with the support, trying different instructions they gave me on two of my phones, yet none of them worked and I'm still unable to sign in to the app till this day. Recently they just closed the support ticket which was never solved.
App frequently does not show correct pricing information. Bid/ask will become frozen. Trying to contact support and just get funneled to FAQ. Seems like a common problem if you google or search reddit for it. Not much point in the app if it doesn't give accurate info to execute trades, better off using desktop.
Make same space on the right side on your chart! it is so annoying when the candles stick to the right side of the graph without any empty space! The mobile app is not so bad but your desktop application is so terrible!
Out-dated design but workable. Compared to other broker-apps the design of this one seems stuck 10 years in the past. The absolute worst part is that the app has a dark background and for volume traded they put a bright yellow box with white text in it. You really have to get close to the screen and be in a lightless environment to make out the numbers. The broker itself is very resolute and trustworthy, though. Just wished they would move their app-design into the current age.
Its a pain to get it set up. Until the first money transfer is in, it will be 2 weeks minimum. The app itself is super convoluted. A giant mess. Nothing can easily be found. Beware if you happen to have 2 accounts. Because most - but not all! - links will bring you back to the 1st account. Orders disappear. Don't show at all though confirmed. Tech support is non existent. But.... fees are cheap. As for me... to stay, you would need to pay me for the aggravation
They will not issue a tax statement which they have by clicking a button and do not even create the button so the user can get it. Most importantly they are LAZY and won't lift a finger to press the button which is right there on their computer to generate the report automatically which they should set up to be auto-generated in whatever base currency the user desires at their convenience. Also they just don't answer tickets for months, ignore the requests entirely. PS. Look at all the negative reviews here and on Trustpilot and other places. This is some of the lowest ratings I have ever seen for a public retail broker.
It's okay. It would be great to have an allocation (%) for each portfolio, to quickly see the % of each stock. The support is SUPER slow.
Aaargh! I hate acronyms. The use of them makes navigating the platform frustrating for new beginners. It must, as a result, use up much of your support teams time. IHTHTY
Pages load super slowly and the UI is poor. Can't find commonly used functions, takes forever to fund the account and trade. Extremely frustrating.
Other competitors have more advanced charting tools; multiple oscillators, drawing tools. Also this app doesn't show notifications on device, only in-app and email notifications !
In comparison with the website the app is pretty poor. Many options are not available or hard to find. Definitely a LOT to improve and fix.
Omg, this platform is amazing compared to the other canadian ones available. I got sick of them trying to be lile MMs and earning off spreads by not allowing you to set limits in between 5/10. Dev needs to suggest min requirement for mobile devices to perform well. Along with desktop platform. If your mobile or desktop is old, youre going to lag.
This app could be quite a bit better. It frequently wants me to authenticate someone trying to access my account, apparently, that is not me. But I haven't had an information security issue yet. I am wary however.
It needs more work on the UI, like better access to transaction history and more clear views of the data, but it's definitely a great way to access IBKR.
Very featureful app for trading. However, it has some chronic deseases. Updating stock graph has always been extremely slow and sometimes it doesn't load at all - doesn't matter if one have data subscription or not. Recently another major feature stopped working altogether - research tabs for a stock appear empty - analytics ratings, financials, key ratios, news, and everything. A ton of helpful infos for every stock just disappeared. Well, tha app loads, trade buttons work, hence 2 stars.
Excellent app. Chart trading features are the best you can get. I use the app only for its chart trading features. Great broker and an excellent app.
Extremely powerful once you get the grips of it. Login experience can be much improved though (remember login credentials for example).
Kept disconnecting every now and then. Every their website portal was a whole mess. Can't believe this is a broker that won awards. Fix the server and freaking app by hiring a better IT team. So frustrating and waste of time.
They only tell you about 1 of the charges, and they nickle and done you one every little thing. It was actually the most expensive one I used. I used it for 2-3 months and I have been trying to get my money back for 9-10 months now. They say the process of closing the account can take up to 3 months and I have done it 3 times now and still dont have my money back, I've missed so many trading opportunities it's very frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this to an enemy.
Why the chart "source" usually changes to midpoint, as it can only display when "trades" selected and I need to update all the indicator source parameters, otherwise it will show "no market data message". I think it may be sync from Desktop App as I found that trader workstation can only select "midpoint" source.
App has clear pricing errors. The presets are also all off and can take forever to organize just to be lost next time you open the app. Company used to provide an online web application that was very high quality, now they have tried to push everyone to trader workstation however if you cannot; the mobile and website are leaving much to be desired. Rates are so cheap because the app is either buggy or something...
This app will not load the screen so i can deposit funds. It also will not load the screen so i can withdrawl. I've already done both before several months ago I don't know why it's not working right now.
This app is a mess. Really painful to setup, I have to retype my password every time I want to log in. IB key is confusing as hell and hard to setup, way too hard. The interface is too populated and hard to navigate through and is inconsistent, some elements just look out of the place. Also I've been trying to deposit some money as a trial, because I use a different trading service right now and it didn't go through.
