Terrible experience please hire a different developer. The app is completely useless, it makes the experience in the hotel annoying. Everytime we tried to use it , it never works. We passed the message to the butlers, customer support and other guests. Don't bother downloading the app and please use the butlers and other services , it will be easier and it will save you a lot of hassle.
HOW TO FIX: Do not login with your "horizon" account or password. This can cause the infinite-star-loading bug. Instead, reinstall, then login with your room number after check-in. When prompted for a password, do not input one, just leave blank and tap Next. After some stuttering, it should bring you into the app and all the useful info. It isn't stable anyway, but should become usable. It might take hours after check-in to work. Also, the big screens near the lobby are usable touchscreens!
APP DOESN'T WORK - the app just goes into a perpetual loop between a white screen and another screen. Nothing ever loads. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application 3 times, no change. I emailed App Support a week ago with no response. We are booked to go to an Iberostar resort and everyone says everything is in the app, but it doesn't work.
Such poor quality control. Fatal bugs released one after another. The latest is an infinite loop to accept privacy policy that makes it impossible to use the app. Very frustrating as a guest when you want to look up simple things such as hours or a map. This development team is a horrible reflection on a 5 star resort group.
This app is inconsistent at best. It frequently won't load at all. Information is not updated frequently (for example, food outlets that have re-opened still show as temporarily closed). I haven't even used the app onsite yet, but if it won't load, it won't be much good.
This App does not work. I have installed several times. Turned phone on and off, cleared cache, still doesn't work. I notice that this problem has been going on for a while. I'm supposed to be enjoying a stress free holiday!
The app is as useful as it is buggy. It's unbelievable how a 5 star hotel can let its guests suffer through it. The app becomes unresponsive after a few minutes. The only way to get it work again is to force-unload and start again. I'm on Pixel 4 XL with all the latest. UPDATE. Now even force-unload doesn't help. All I get is an empty greenish screen.
App info is so outdated and what info it does have is usually wrong. Constantly crashes and everytime I try to use the app fot something like make a reservation it crashes. Only thing is good for us the map.
Sadly the app is very basic and innacurate in its schedule (activities) z it also does not allow you to sync with some additionnal activities booked onsite (restaurant and spa) so usefulness is limited. Can do better...
Awful app. At least 4-5 tries to get into the app but most of the time it just hangs on the first green screen. Occasionally get to the logo but then it just hangs on the green screen after that. I really don't understand how app developers release such rubbish? I'd be so embarrassed. Save yourself the frustration and walk to reception.
Update 04/22 from Dominican Republic, app is working fine now except that our dinner reservations do not appear. Very helpful and useful. No longer works, either gives a java socket timeout when signing into the room, or spins without making any connection. Galaxy s10
The app often freezes, the restaurant menu information does not match the menu when you are at the restaurant, and if you are at a large resort, it is awkard to check the activities at multiple resorts.
Needs to be updated! Hours for nearly every restaurant are wrong. Not sure what good it is doing, everytime.e I open it, I get frustrated.
I'm having the same issue as others, continually the app Flashes between a white screen and the star logo. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but to no avail.
This would be a great app if my actual request would go through. I can view the room service options but nothing happens when I press submit. Same thing happens for making reservations.
A disgrace of an APP , staff ask you to use the app constantly but it doesn't work for me at all and 1 in 5 times for my wife ,paying $750 per night the bugs should be ironed out before guests need to use it , as the app wasn't working we were unaware the buffet restaurant was closed on our second night and were forced to have room service as all speciality restaurants were fully booked the saving grace is the staff are still wonderfull at the hotel depsite the shocking app
App won't load. Already tried reinstalling, deleting all data and cache. I'd be embarrassed if this was my company's app. Hoping my trip is better than this experience.
I am a new potential customer who just downloaded your app. I too have the grey and white screen switching with each other. I can't see anything with the app.
Great shame this has stopped working as was a nice little app which could be quite useful - now won't even load past initial blank screen and have tried reinstalling to no avail 😔
For a 5-star resort, the app is horrible and not usable because it keeps crashing on Android! Can't check restaurants or book!
App does not work. We even tried to uninstall it and reinstall it and it still does not work. If they didn't offer the service the frustration of it not being usable would not be there. I hope Iberostar addresses the issue or removes it use all together.
App was working fine until I got prompted to update it today. Now that it is updated, the app does not even open...
Prime example of an unnecessary mobile app. A website would work better and would actually show loading bars, this does not resulting in lots of hanging around (literally) wondering if you actually tapped only for the page to then open in several activities/fragments. I have been trying to get this working for the entirety of my stay and so far have only been able to sign up, though not sign in - as this requires tapping a broken 'i accept the terms and conditions' button. Not impressed.
