What I like most about this app is the search engine: one can use different spelling (like chronic or chr) many words (acute diastolic heart failure) and it finds the relevant ICD codes quickly. Since we do not need the CPT/HCPCS or fees in our work – the app is also free of charge!
We use this app for several weeks now and it helps us with the transition from ICD-9 to 10. In addition it has the CPT codes and the “crosswalk” between ICD and CPT so we can document on the medical necessity and find the correct codes for reimbursement. Love it !
I’ve tried a lot of ICD coding apps – and this one is by far the best. One can search with partial terms (like diab instead of diabetes) and if you search with many terms the results are quite accurate.
The app is a ruse. It is simply a navigator to a website that eventually requires payment. There are plenty of free resources on the web. This is add close you can get to a scam without it actually being a scam. Don't download.
I like the filters the app applies to selected codes: medical necessity, local coverage and national coverage determinations, ambulatory vs. inpatient, medically unlikely codes. It help reduce the number of incorrect codes we submit to our health insurance companies
I find the search engine to be the best part of this app. I’ve used it with natural language terms such as chr diast heart fail and it brings back relevant results from both ICD and CPT databases.
I am impressed with this app. On top of a great ICD coding app it provides a wealth of information on the CPT, RVU, fees for inpatient and ambulatory procedures, PQRS and more. Easy to use and does the job
Fits perfectly our coders’ need. Very easy to use app ! It makes ICD coding a breeze both 9 and 10 both for ambulatory and inpatient situations
This app has it all: the old ICD9 with the new ICD10, CPT, HCPCS, RVU, Ambulatory payments for out-patient, DRG for Inpatient, quality reporting, medical unlikely vs medical necessary codes, etc. Surprisingly simple to use and accurate in finding the right codes.
I've just subscribed for their trial and i suggest you do the same otherwise if you stay on the same version- you will not see the cpt codes and the attached fees for the procedure performed. Search algorithm is fast and the map to ICD - 10 seems to me as Ok- but hey nobody is an ICD-10 expert - YET....
This app is the easiest way I have found to help you swiftly and accurately code patients' ICD-10 Diagnosis and Procedures. Only relevant results are returned unlike all the other options I have found. ..
Recently I’ve tried at least 10 other apps and icd10doc is the best so far. Crosswalks between ICD9 and 10, ICD and PQRS, ICD and CPT and the search function – are truly great. Thanks for a pleasant surprise
We use this app for training our coders on the coming ICD-10 as well as our physicians to understand the relationship between ICD9 and ICD10. We found it helps a lot with the clinical documentation
The free version is great for finding the old ICD-9 and the new ICD-10 counterparts. With subscription a wealth of information becomes available: CPT/HCPCS, PQRS, medical unlikely diagnosis and procedures, clinic fees and more. Like the ease of use on my mobile phone.
i like the billing function that will give you the actual $$ to expect from CMS for the physician work, but i wonder if the ICD-10 codes we'll submit using this app will be accepted by the payers on october 1st
I like the mapping engine between I-9 and I-10 and the ease of use on my cell. If you need medical codes for your coding / billing in your practice – you must have this app!
I found this app to be a good search engine for codes and an even better mapping tool from ICD-9 to ICD-10 and vice-versa. Like the simple navigation and the drill down if you need more information on a specific code.
After trying many other apps my partners and I decided to stick with this one. It’s fast and the ICD diagnosis and CPT procedure codes are correct. It helps us find out the codes and modifiers allowed to be submitted to Medicare payers
Installed it on my cell in less than a minute and so far it is amazing : fast correct codes for ICD are also free and with subscription it will offer LCD, NCD, MUE, MCE, OPPS, PQRS and more
Everytime i try to install this app it tells me something went wrong
It helps us with the ongoing training of our physicians to document codes that most specifically reflect the diagnosis made and the services being provided. Sincerely recommended.
While quite useful as a stand-alone app, it doesn’t interface with the EMR documentation we have. Maybe in a future version ?
Most important ICD app out there. thanks for create this app!
Great ICD app! Impressive and really useful!! Highly Recommended. must have!
Not free. Crashed on first login
Use this App all the time when i need! Love all the way!
Takes me to a page that is an error.
I get an error when I try to search
If you’d like to reduce the number of incorrect codes you submit to the health insurance companies, this app is for you: it applies sophisticated filters to the terms and codes you plan on submitting to payers: clinical necessity, local and national coverage determinations, medically unlikely situations (like prostatectomy in a female), age related restrictions and more
