Ice Box - Apps freezer 【Root】

This app is amazing. It's perfectly designed for one task and one task only, freezing apps that you rarely use and don't want running in the background but making sure they are there when needed. It supports icon packs and the user experience is great! It saves a ton of time that I spent freezing and unfreezing apps via Link2SD.

Scared the cr@p out of me. Had this installed for nearly a year... or maybe longer. A few days ago I couldn't recall why I installed this and wasn't 100% certain what this would do so I froze almost every installed app to see what would happen. Nearly every icon vanished from my home screen and I was locked out of most of the features of my launcher. Immediately removed all apps from the ice box and all apps returned to Android's menu (but my custom home screen icons were wiped out). Uninstalled ice box. Four days later I try reinstalling but fail because phone is not compatible with newest version of app. I realized how useful having had this on my phone for so long had been. Was set it and forget it to stop annoying apps from annoying me. Once I uninstalled Ice Box the apps started annoying me all over again. Now to find an old version and reinstall it so Ice box can rescue me. Again. An easy five stars...as long as you know what this is for :/

One of the few apps I never want to be without. I've been using icebox for more than a year now and absolutely this program is a must if you have a rooted phone and you want to control the apps you have running. if it's not an application I use regularly it goes in the icebox and so I never have to see it or get alerts from it until I want to manually activate the app. I also like I can unfreeze all of them to update them all at once and then put them back in the icebox.

It's really an amazing app that I've ever met! My phone's bought in China, therefore it has many annoying and useless built-in apps. With this app, I can easily Freeze'em to block unwanted notifs. What's more, I even freezed my system launcher because it's terrible. I can use any launchers I like regardless of the restrictions which is already freezed by me!

Using island mode. The app is great, thank you very much but i have many apps freezed with it and now i can't add more. When i open the app it says cannot access app names or app list or something like this. This won't cause problem for using apps that added before but it doesn't show any new app to freeze and also after many closing and reopening sometimes it shows an incomplete list of apps and most of the time it even doesn't show that and that screen only keeps loading. Please fix it. Thanks

It's unbelievable - i'm a geek, i root every device and gain control of every aspect of it, but so far i didn't even imagined that an app like this could exist, and i'm so very sorry that i didn't knew about this app much sooner. It is literally unique, i mean for every task there a ton of apps to choose from, but there is no other app like this one. Very good job.!

This is one of the best apps I've ever purchased and one of my most important ones. Used daily it allows you to have all the apps you rarely use still installed but in frozen state. Well done to the developer for creating a clever, well thought out and well designed interface. 10 Star!

This app is JUST what an app hoarder needs. Wish it integrated better with Nova Launcher (could sync tabs/folders?), but otherwise so much easier than using TitaniumBackup etc. Love it, thank you! I do wish that there was a clear explanation of what the Xposed module does (in English).

Fantastic app. Does the job without any hiccups. All those battery hungry and non essential apps are neatly frozen away. It's a shame some are leaving negative feedback for such a useful app. I tried this on multiple devices and it works flawlessly and is part of my must have android tools list.

THE app to keep my phone' app collection tidy and (due to freezing) on high performance, without having to root my device. Glad that I could finally get the premium version to get around the 10 app limit on the freezing list. Big thanks to the developer!

Although the app is good. The developer will have free access to my data, apps almost everything on my phone. "Device is managed by your organization" I wish I can use this app but concerned on my privacy. Tried to revoke device admin permissions and remove the app, I couldn't revoke device admin as it was disabled. So I had to reset my phone to factory default.

Ok works now. Suggestion.. Give also longer time limit for aurofreeze and make both freeze on time limit and double tap available rather than being an either-or option in the drop down menu in setting. Also.. Ealier comment.. Installed used for a bit, purchased upgrade then offered upgrade and then the same day it told me the license is no longer valid the same day I bought it and it asked me to purchase again from Alipay... Not interested to pay through Alipay.

No root, works perfectly! The setup process was quite complicated (OnePlus device), however the docs have enough information to do this. My favorite feature is the ability to create a shortcut for a frozen app on the launcher.

one of the most useful apps (for rooted devices) there is. so easy to use and launch freezed apps that I found myself freezing most of my apps. whenever i want to use my parking app, public scooter app, aliexpress, amazon, ebay, bank app, etc. etc. I simply launch it from the freezer, use it and freeze it back. no more apps eating up my battery everyday just so i can use them once a week. Love it.

Android 8+ has little effect unless you need to completely make apps dormant/hibernated. And if you're trying to win more free RAM with this, you just might only end up using more.

2 stars because the organization method is too simple. right now one app can only be categorized into one category. come on it's 2020, please use tags or labels, allow one app to have more than one tag. and because it's currently not possible to defrost and run an app through a shortcut. only widget is currently supported. please allow defrosting a group of apps that are tagged as "games for the kid". look forward to see these new features to be implemented

App shows a dialogue box on startup in simplified chinese. In order to use this app, you are forced to agree to a privacy policy that, if google translate is correct, allows them get whatever information without consent for matters of "national security" (keep in mind this is the PRC). The start also says that certain chinese internet laws apply if you're from China, but it's unclear how they differentiate. Honestly I'm not sure why this app needs a privacy policy, it should just be offline.

Bought the paid version, dumped a ton of apps in it. My battery lasts so much longer now, it's unreal! Wish there was Sesame Search integration so I could search them like my other apps.

It was great when I had root. tried today with no root and its working but... there is a problem that the system backup not working anymore. "Samsung backup service not available prevented by security policy" I had to uninstall it and now backup work again

if you have a rooted device then it is for you. people who are worried about low ram then no need to worry.it consumes low space but saves lot of ram you desire. use it continuesly.try to understand its contents and enjoy its wonderful magical mind blowing features. Thanks to genius developers. never seen such a nice app.

Great app for keeping noisy and obnoxious apps that put notifications all the time on the screen. Let's you keep them on your device but quiet and peaceful. Recommended!

Does what is says but permanent method not able to be done in adb in Keyone Oreo unrooted, however my purpose of separation amazon app from web version is solved by X8 app (game speed changer) appears to be a kind of partial sand box (but it will uninstall existing and re-install under its influence) and it is effectve in prevention opening of amazon app when we try to open web version on phone to save invoices.

great app for saving your phones resources... but the launcher is slow to load which adds up when you frozen a bunch of apps.. I have a SD845 so performance is definitely not a issue.

Thought the concept of this app was great but after using it for a few days and checking which apps were using up my battery I found that not this app itself was eating up my battery but the act of freezing and unfreezing apps was displaying as uninstalling the various apps I was using it with, which the more I use the app the less beneficial it is, using more battery than I'd be saving! I wouldn't say this apps bad, only good for those niche apps you want to keep but NEVER use.

The app keeps trying to connect to different IP constantly every second on my s9 using device owner mode. But using this same app on a rooted s7 the app doesnt make any, this is really weird i wish the dev could enlighten us with more information about this

This app is useful in multiple ways. It's a mini launcher with options to sort and group apps into tabs. It also works as an app hider, app freezer, app locker and much more.

I'm using the free version and flashed the module in Magisk. On all the third party app freezers I used, this is the best!! What really make this stand out among the rest is our ability tp change the icon pack

Feature request - any way we can get sharing to frozen apps working? Like share to Ice Box and then allow picking a frozen app to forward to? Not sure of the complexity, but would be very nice to have.

This app is one of a kind, been looking for something like this for a long time. Wishlist: a widget autopopulated with frequent apps (like Hangar's one) would be most excellent.
