I won't lie, with such few downloads, I was questioning if this app would be any good. I find this WAY better than GO keyboard which has like millions of downloads. The auto correct is much more intelligent and highly intuitive. Even recognized and splits words when for example you type a "b" instead of a "space". I'd buy the paid for the personal dictionary if I didn't expect an ICS update on my Rezound soon.
Which is why I didn't rate lower than 4 stars. There is a repeatable glitch with Galaxy S3 phones whereby attempting to start composing a text message in landscape mode will result in a large black box covering almost the entire screen without a keyboard. You have to back out of 'message composition' mode and reenter in order to get the keyboard working. Other than that, great keyboard.
I think that if you guys added a calibration feature it would be the best keyboard app hands down because I've been finding it kind of hard to type the correct words when I'm typing fast now a days. Other than that, it's perfect.
Overall a good board.. i can now use the same board on my droid. However some of the settings are not that clear it took me 10 mins and alot of headscraching to turn off what i call " the black box above the keyboard that gives word suggestions" which waa anoying me as it was taking up too much screen space.
I liked it well enough and wouldn't mind going back but right now it has some major flaws for me. Whenever I switch between landscape and portrait mode I lose whatever I typed. When typing really long texts it is tragic to lose it just because I set my phone down. Please fix. HTC EVO 3D.
Elegant in it's simplicity, I find it way better than the stock keyboard and even swiftkey x. Typing is accurate, autocomplete works well, and voice recognition has never been snappier. My only nit to pick is that it takes two taps for comma, but autocomplete helps mitigate that by suggesting a comma after every spacebar press. 5 stars.
I change roms a lot, have the very latest Android version, have tried Swift key and Swype... Basically I've used the latest and the most expensive and THIS keyboard is my very favorite. Key layout is great - no garbage I don't use and easy access to what I do. It's responsive and quick. Thanks for your work.
So. I own on of the android smartphones that for some reason has a serious keyboard problem. When typing, sometimes (quite often) pressing one letter (not a particular letter, could be any) that letter show up twice. Almost quit using the phone because of this, read numerous articles about this problem being present on high end brand name phones as well as shadier brands and models. I have tried tens of keyboards and nothing worked, fiddled with all settings, nothing worked. ICS keyb SOLVES THIS PROBLEM.10x
SWEET BABY JESUS. This is FINALLY the keyboard I'm looking for. As a user of a galaxy S with custom 2.3 ROM, we have been battling a bug where every letter at the beginning of words was doubled... not only does this ELIMINATE the galaxy S double letter bug, it finally gives us a normal return key instead of the useless smiley key!! My keyboard dreams have come true! And yes. It was so bad previously, I DREAMED of a world where galaxy S could have a working keyboard...
It solved my problem of not having the"globe" key to select input language on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, but when I selected it as an input method in "settings", the tablet warned me that this keyboard can capture all input except passwords, which made me nervous about security, so I'm disabling it for now, until I find out more about it. The weird thing is, after installing it, now the samsung default keyboard also has the "globe" key, and I can select between the 4 languages I configured with this beta keyboard. Maybe all I really needed to do was download some language packs. I really wanted to get Russian (русский) and now I have it!
Its a great gob u have done, thank you. But please in arabic version there are alot of missing letters like (alhamzah, althaa, yaa almad....) kindly add them as they are very important in Arabic.
the app worked great at first, but it eventually (after a minute or so of use) became extremely laggy, and if used with the chrome beta on ics, completely unusable. and i know that sounds weird, i installed this because the default ics keyboard was not included with the rom i'm running (aokp b28 on the galaxy note). that said, on several other phones i've run it on, this keyboard has done the exact same thing on gingerbread and ics. starts out fine, and within a minute or two, extreme lag.
My smartphone has only a 2.8 inch screen so has a very small keyboard. When I looked at the keyboard first I thought it was too small and that it wouldn't be any good but I decided to give it a go after watching the video. After typing on it for a few minutes I WAS CONVERTED. It is now my default keyboard and believe me I've tried out a good number due to the small scree size on my phone. Some of the keyboards I used had some good features but nothing like this keyboard. I no longer have to hit the correct key which is a godsend. I have really improved my typing speed, I am a touch typer so I'm glad to have a keyboard that can give me some speed. For that reason this is the keyboard I have decided to stick with. In my case the combination of big fingers and small screen really has tested all the keyboards I have tried out. I especially like the feature where you can get a big list of possible words while holding down the middle word suggestion which has the three dots underneath. Well done all in getting this to Android 2.2/2.3. Finally, my long quest for a workable keyboard is finally over. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this keyboard.
Love this keyboard. I hated the standard one on my rezound, and another one I downloaded had a tiny space bar. This one has a large space and auto corrects when I put a b or n instead of a space (lol, more often than you would think).
Had this installed on my S2, and was so accustomed to it I was taken aback by just how awful the default Samsung keyboard is on my new S4. The chief appeal is just how well-implemented the auto correct is, but there are a ton of handy, sensible layout features. Brilliant.
This keyboard is excellent. It has a very quick response for those quick typers, like myself, and the accuracy is also very good. One big advantage that this keyboard has over other ones I have used, especially the other ICS keyboard I used, is that the height of the keys and of the entire keyboard is higher than the other ICS keyboard, thus resulting in improved accuracy since there is less room for missing a key. The response so far is exceptional. I can fly by words and it gets them right and corrects any misspelled words with perfect accuracy. Any mistake could very well be a simple mistake, like putting in the wrong word or wrong letters. I recommend this keyboard for anyone who wants a fast response without lag and great accuracy. Definitely is the best keyboard to use!
It is really great, so much better then the terrible stock Samsung galaxy keyboard, it is more or less as good as the ios keyboard. I love it, thanks so much. It would be nice if I could disable the double press space for a full stop shortcut, also no English (UK), apart from that, it's awesome, thanks!
This is the only keyboard that will properly space two words (or even more) if you accidentally hit the X, C, V, B or N keys instead of the space bar. Word prediction is perfect and the customization options just top it all off!!!
I love this keyboard, it's definitely one of the best out there, and it's free! I would love it even more if there was a Korean language pack as it's getting quite bothersome to have to keep switching between keyboards just to use hangul (Korean alphabet)
I am so glad I downloaded this app. The stock keyboard for my Samsung Galaxy 3 was driving me crazy with their insane predictive text. It was always wrong and so annoying. I really appreciate the spell check so I wanted a keyboard similar to the original Samsung Galaxy, which I loved. This keyboard is even better than that one. Download it. You will not be disappointed. THANKS GUYS!!!
It took me about 4 times to download it. I don't understand y its called ice cream sanwhich either. But its a way better keyboard then the go keyboard. My suggestion is when I write dony it changes to Sony when it should be changed to don't. Also when I type mr it should be changed to me.
I noticed it defaults to 123 sometimes instead of ABC. Also the text prediction and auto correction arent that good. Not near as good as Steven Lin's GB keyboard on the market. That is hands down the best keyboard I've ever used.
Only issue I have is the keyboard disable button that I have grown accustomed to, other than that the predictive txt is great...I was getting rather frustrated with the stupid auto correct that came with the one x. PLEASE update to include a keyboard on/off button and I will up it to 5 stars
This is perfect. I love this keyboard. The layout is uncluttered and looks fa ntastic. I'm using it to write this right now. The voice recognition is also great. It's accurate and almost instantaneous. No problems so far on my HTC EVO 4G.
But there needs to be a update to change the level of haptic vibrations on the keyboard. The setting right now won't save.
Some people have said that they have issues when trying to type in landscape mode but I always type in portrait so it doesn't bother me. I love the personalized dictionary and the natural key layout awesome job with this keyboard. Love it!
Very nice layout with A LOT more options than the standard keyboard. This math nerd was impressed at the pi and radical sign as well.
It is really good. I like this keyboard, because it supports Arabic language with diacritics. That's rarely found on other keyboards. There is a little bad thing with it. Which is the long language title when changing input language. The label between brackets is not necessary (ice cream sandwich keyboard free)
