ICE - In Case of Emergency

I had just found out a diagnoses that could lead to being unable to speak to responders in an emergency. I downloaded this app and added my information along with Doctors contact. I configured my phone to allow the apps capabilities to show on Lock screen giving access to emergency contacts. I feel better knowing that safety is in place along with a medical wrist band/necklace.

A must have app! It's been improved over the years since I first installed it. Shows up on a locked screen allowing emergency services access to my need to know medical details and contact numbers to call. Fingers crossed it'll never be needed but it's there if it does.

I've got a Z-fold, I can't get the app icon to display on the screen when the phone is locked, so it's virtually useless to me if I have a medical incident and I'm not capable of unlocking the phone. Pity, it has pretty good features (when my screen isn't locked). I tried emailing the developers, but they don't respond.

This app doesn't work for me. I have lock screen notification settings for title but not content, and I think this app requires to see content on the lock screen. So you have to be able to unlock to see emergency contacts which makes it ineffective.

Works well. However, on an LG G5 with "always on display" enabled, when you turn the screen off, the notification appears. It makes a big "new notification" icon appear on the always on display for a second, which is perhaps slightly distracting.

This app used to be excellent, but since the latest update all it shows is your name, DOB, blood group and any allergies. No contact number. Previously it also made available your family doctor and his/her phone number. I see no purpose in keeping the app on my phone

I like the app and the logic behind it in emergency situations. Unfortunately, it shuts down in the background occasionally (and unless you notice the icon missing, you don't realize it happened); the lock screen icon is too small and if you have anything with white on your wallpaper behind it, it's can't be seen; with latest update, I have a 1 or 2 notification on the app; however there is nothing that I can find that requires my attention and, they won't clear. Please fix the bugs, allow for the icon to be BOLD RED so it won't get lost in a wallpaper background and make the icon larger.

Easy enough to complete and, once done, sits visibly on your phone, and accessible even when phone locked. However, a downside is there doesn't appear to be a mechanism to share the same data on my other mo mobile devices. 'Sharing' it only sends the app to other devices, not with the data. A serious oversight - unless I blinked and missed the route!

The app is nice; providing the necessary safety info on a locked screen. However, it would be nice if the settings of My other apps didn't have to show up on the locked screen; whereas it was never a problem before. What makes it worst, is that it's not even at the top the list... My preference is to be able to return my locked screen as it was before; only showing date, time, camera & phone icon; with the only addition being the ICE app.

OK but disappears at times from the drop down list and doesn't display on my startup screen. It is a good idea though, I wish it consistently displayed as described. I'll have to spend some time seeing if anything can be done to get the promised features to work, or look for an alternative in the play store one day.

Essential app to have, easy to set up with important info right there if needed. Have had it installed for some time now and today i see that i can't open the app, it keeps crashing. Have uninstalled and re-installed it with no success. May have to delete and find another app. Such a shame as i really like it.

nice app. simple, good permissions and no ads. needs font size options for inside the app and the ability at add new lines in the allergy section

I like this for emer. purposes but I just wish it were more vision on the lock screen, so faint & small you can hardly see it. Make it bigger & brighter!!!

Have had this app installed for years. It allows input of lots of information. Simple, clear, no ads. Developer just wants to help people

Super simple. I dont love the notification on my screen but the lock screen notification is exactly what I wanted.

Great app! This is one everyone should have. Easy to read, easy to write details and not a single ad to been seen (which is a definite bonus!) You may have to tweak permissions and behaviours to get the best from the app but a great little tutorial tells you how and why to do this. Would highly recommend.

Had no problem with it. Added what was needed and saved it. Not sure what was meant when asked if this could be used to delete messages.... any message or messages to the ICE app??

Great app. Works perfectly. Could do with some minor tweaks but considering it is free and no adverts it is GREAT 👍👍👍

I love the idea of this app. The issue is that it doesn't stay at the top of your notifications. I don't think emergency crews will take the time to scroll through notifications or look through the little icons to find this specific icon for the information. Not sure if it is just a permission you need to develop around or talk with android os developers to figure out how to keep it at the top. Love the idea and hope you can find a way to keep it at the top.

It works fine, but if used on full screen mode on the lock screen it unlocks the phone when closing the app.

After the newest update, the text in the drag down from the notification bar is no longer legible when my phone is in night mode. Yesterday, the text would go gray so it could be read. Now it stays black and can't be read. Sure hope I never end up needing this app at night...

ICE - I think this app is really good. The fact that you can have Emergency contacts on your home screen that can be viewed while your phone remains locked. The down side, I have noticed that sometimes it isn't there, so have to go into prompt the settings to get it back in my notifications. If it stayed, definitely 5 star!!

New tabs are nice, but remain restrictive as to info you can add. Settings/Suggestions, presents you with email apps to send written suggestion, but when email opens, you're suggestions aren't there, and neither is the subject. Would like to see a line for email addresses in case contact can't be reached by phone. Think any and all ways of contacting are important in an emergency. **Update: May 6 2020: Settings/suggestions, now opens up in email app, but only Gmail. Thanks. Rating stars updated.

Straight forward but comprehensive medical ID app. Will have to further investigate display options, especially when tablet in sleep mode.

The app is hardly ever shown on the lock screen. An emergency app like this needs to work every time.

Very easy to use, no adds, and you can type in allergies as well as medical conditions with meds you take.
