There is only one in-app purchase that allows you to play on larger worlds (much more fun!) and removes advertisements. However, you can still normally play without spending any money.

Mostly fun game. Confusing logic though - as you earn upgrades, the AI player is automatically upgraded also (speed, health, power) making the upgrades useless. Basically the game just gets faster and more difficult. Even on "easy" mode, the AI gangs up on you and mostly ignores the other AI players (there are several). This game would be great if you could play against other people, or if upgrades actually gave you an advantage as opposed to just increasing game speed and AI opponent difficulty.
Used to love this game a few years ago and I remember buying the extra contect because I loved it so much but the AI has gone to pot. Every time I capture a node it starts with about 1/3 health but every time an enemy captures one it starts anywhere between a half and over 4/5. This makes large games incredibly tedious and repetitive toward the end. It's not just hard for the purpose of adding challenge to the game, it's borderline unplayable even on easy.
Flawed logic. When you first play its set to the highest difficulty no matter what level you choose. But when you retry after failure the difficulty level is reduced automatically, the difficulty settings are useless and you can't play level hard again without waiting for at least 2 days. I know the review is confusing, but so is the game difficulty logic. This is coming from someone that played this game at least 800 times.
Used to be fun, now impossibly hard on all difficulties. The AI is given many advantages and the matches drag on way too long. I had the AI down to 2 planets while I had 15+, yet somehow the AI could still regenerate faster, capture faster, and move faster. The game is unfair and broken. I feel cheated, as I bought it several years ago.
As others have said this used to be a great game, but changes and broken difficulty settings ruin it. Everything is forced hard/impossible. The nodes also seem to be broken. Often enemies can conquer from neighboring nodes, but I am unable to take those nodes even though the path is there. This forces a situation of having to waste time and resources to defend or give away the node and causes you to lose under the broken difficulty level.
Out of many mobile strategy games that ive seen, this one is among one of my favorites. I like the minimalistic approach, the simple yet perplexing gameplay, and the best part? No microtransactions! Just how a stretegy game should be. However, theres one thing that i feel should be added: this game desperately needs a multiplayer mode, both local and online, which is why i rate it four stars and not 5.
Was a good game, now just ok. Installed it on new phone. My old phone had an unupdated version. The latest version is a bunch of back and forth which makes for an extremely long and boring game. All the AI are more aggressive. Sure its more of a challenge, but I don't have 30 minutes to play a casual game.
impossible, rage inducing game! 1, game mechanics are unclear, even now. 2, the "connections" are apparently one way, which was also unclear, as well as confusing. 3, couldn't even beat the first level on EASY, despite multiple attempts using several different strategies, and despite long experience with many strategy games.
Amazing but simple when you first run through you think it is impossible but through constant trial and error I got my first victory. It felt extremely rewarding although you get nothing I would really like more options ect. And the one key is to find the perfect strat which is focus on health and the edge of the map first. Simple strategy game, but not for the faint of heart. It's an extremely difficult game, specially you're first run through. I've gone on and off with this game, and after 3-4 years I got my first victory! Felt gud <3 To be honest, if this were a little bit more flushed out, with rewards for wins, stages, etc. this could be even greater then it is now, then again it IS minimalist. Fun game! Btw it took me 1:43:5 to win! hahaha
Games too hard. I've played about 4 or 5 games now on easy and all that happens is that I go for a base, bring the base health to 0, then it remains white, other colors some how take it, and then kill me. Happens every single time not only that but I was given no intro on how to play tutorial on the controls. Overall just a terrible game. Would rate 0 if possible.
The game used to be really good, and I never knew until now that you could update a game and make it worse. So much worse. The different colors used have different advantages and when you lost all you bases there was still a chance of you surviving by uses your left over ships. And you never had to pay for a bigger world. Fix it because it used to be alot of fun.
You always start in the middle. I spent money to unlock the bigger maps but that was a huge mistake. By the time you fight your way to the edge to have any little bit of safety one enemy will always have more bases and eventually swarm you. Even on easy it's nearly impossible to win. Insane that it's even worse on the paid content.
This is my favorite type of mobile game but I don't enjoy this one very much. You can only move your ships as a single blob, and every game ends up just chasing recaptures as the other teams do the same. It feels impossible to win. and there is almost no depth. Go play Opacha or Auralux instead. it's a shame because this game has style just ... no substance.
Have to say I agree with all of the other reviews. Very unbalanced game. I did my best to approach it with an open mind and without bias, but after 90 minutes of attempted play - and never once being able to feel like I was even close to gaining Traction in the game - I must concur with my fellow reviewers. If the developer wants to get us hooked, we need that sense of reward, not frustration. It hasn't been updated since 2016.
This is brilliant game but needs new tools. Making a minimalistic game doesn't means that you should add only few aspects to game and serving like it's simple game. Yeah it's simple but also it's boring, you should add more tricks to this game and these tricks don't need to be complicated.
Only in this "strategy" game can you play a match where you have control of 15 zones, compared to the AI's 3 and still be locked in a stalemate for hours. how on Earth can the developers justify 7 AI ships being able to take down a base quicker than my entire fleet comprised of the manpower and resources of the entire rest of the map save for one, measly enemy base? I uninstalled it after my first match took 2 grueling hours to trudge through overpowered but really dumb AI.
There are many negative reviews saying that it is impossible to win or that the AI has a huge advantage. Those players are either horrible at adapting strategies to their current situations or are blind to patterns. I have only played this game for several days and I can consistently beat the normal map on the normal difficulty in under 10 min. It is very entertaining and really makes you study the situation in order to devise an optimal stragety.
Fun, but poorly balanced. You are always in the center, surrounded by enemies, even at level 10 health my captured bases are still about half what the enemies captured start at. The only way to really win is to let the enemies battle eachother and get stuck in a loop because no matter at what level, they are immensely more powerful then you. Love the concept, fun game, but the AI is way to powerful compared to the player.
