Nice app with 2 limitations. 1) Not enough room to input info. 2) need to re-input info when switching phones.
Would be much better if information could be accessed by emergency providers if I can't unlock my phone myself.
I played around with entering different health conditions to see what risk level arises. Even when I put in "cold" for Conditions And Medical Devices, I end up with a red risk level. Makes me wonder how the color is coded. Otherwise, seems pretty simple to use. Clean interface. Referred to by Sean M. Brown.
Great app especially for kids who are clueless but have a phone and need to let teachers or day care people or babysitters know some basic important information... Also helpful if you are found in a gutter and someone has no clue who u are they can just check ur phone. Smart :)
I like this app it's good it is very clear, simple easy to read and I like that you could call the contact number by clicking on the number that is handy in an emergency. The only thing I don't like about this app is that you can only enter two emergency contact phone numbers in it, it would be better if you can enter at least one or two more contacts in it I also think you should be able to choose the risk category.
I have been looking for an ICE app that will work from a lock screen without providing access to my whole phone. The only thing going for this one is the card you can order. They are up front about the app being a back up. This one needs more info, like doctors' contacts.
I like the idea. It would be nice if there was a pull down for common allergies, conditions & medications- it would make data entry easier and reading by medical personnel quicker because of standardization. Also, I'm not sure how responders will see info - on my phone (galaxy nexus pics 4.04) with phone screen locked the info is not seen.
It would work better if the contact info. could span two lines when needed so I can put both their name and relation to me without it overlapping the phone number, making neither readable. Also, the conditions and devices should be in a bulleted list instead of separated only by commas, plus conditions and devices should be two separate lists. There should also be a designated area for hospital name and patient ID number (like the area for insurance) so they know which hospital to bring you to.
Being prior military we have a way of identifying allergies by our allergy tag on our id tags, if something were to happen. I am glad someone thought of a way identify personal emergency information on an item a majority of people carry around daily. It has all the vital information required in case something were to happen.
I wonder how this isn't already installed by default on every phone. Everyone carries a phone these days, and everyone will at some point have an emergency, and may not be able to give this kind of info to emergency responders themselves. The only thing it needs is maybe a lock screen display. So if you are forced to lock your phone (which most companies force nowadays if you use their email systems) it would still display this info on the lock screen. Or even just display some sort of registration number, where any emergency responder could look up your number and gather the same info, even from a locked phone? That way personal info would not be available to just anyone in case you lose your phone. Just some thoughts. But this is a wonderful idea, and it doesn't cost anything! Could be a life saver.
Tried this out on the recommendation of Eaden Saw. This app is easy to use and doesn't take up much space at all. The only problem I can see with this app is that it wouldn't be very efficient if your phone is locked or hard to get into.
I recommend this app, it is a great tool for everyone to have since "things happen", I feel safer to know that in case of an emergency my previously designated contacts would be called. I truly believe, it can avoid more complications that the emergency it self.
App includes space for rxes, medical conditions, allergies, name/policy # of insurance company, and other info. It has two lines for emergency contact. The "other info" area can be used for just about anything from more emergency contacts to supplemental insurance. This app is simple, and it works well. It's not fancy, but it has the American order of the birth date, m/d/yr. It doesn't include height or weight. If that's important for you, put it in other info. I'm done looking for the perfect app.
Spent a long time entering info, saved, hit back button to go back to main screen, it did not. Ended up erasing most of what I entered. Also cannot figure out a way to make it easily found, galaxy 5 Verizon apparently won't allow it on lock screen.
Great information for your safety in case the SHTF. Since I have my phone unlocked when it's on or nearby not sweating the lack of having the lock screen option, but that would be a great addition developers... Looking good neverless, thank you
I was optimistic about this app. I installed it and filled in all my information, but it wasn't on my lock screen. I checked all my settings and couldn't find any way to move it to my lock screen. So I sent an inquiry to support. They sent a form response. After reading through, none of the answers addressed this issue for android. In fact, "no known bugs in the Android version" was the only answer I could find. When I resubmitted my inquiry, I got the same response. Very disappointed
While entering the info is a pain (a drop down menu would help this) it seems be useful. I am high risk and allergic to several antibiotics so it's important they should know this. Also, there is no way to add this to the lock screen. The solution is a third party app that allows this but in reality I shouldn't have to download yet another app to do this. That part was poor planning and execution. Fix that and your golden. Oh and to the person who complained about the birthday date format. .while it might be dd mm yyyy where you are, cops and emts are bright boys and girls, I bet they could figure out a mm dd guy format. Poor excuse to slam the developer. Beyond that I hope the app works when needed, but I hope I never find out.
I installed this on the understanding that this would make my emergency contact information available for the relevant emergency teams to contact my next of kin. The app description states it makes it available on the lock screen but it doesn't on my Motorola Moto G phone. Immediately uninstalled.
I have emergency info tattooed on my wrist, but this is even better. It shows, in red, I'm high risk, and that's really important because I have anaphylactic reactions to some mediations, and those are usually the ones they give you first! I just don't like that I need to take a photo, I should be able to choose from the gallery on my phone.
Advertised as having the ability to be accessed from lock screen but it does not work and there are no settings available to change it. Bummer.
Not very helpful in an emergency situation if others can't get into my phone to see the app.
I love this app it helped me with my bull riding injury and highly recommend it for everyone. I don't know why anyone wouldn't download this app.
I recently switched my phone from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy s6. The app works perfectly on my IPhone. On the galaxy it's like the app freezes and does not give you the option to add to the lock screen. I am able to take a screenshot and add to lock screen that way, but it fills the whole background and not easy to read the info. The save and edit buttons are visible on the screenshot too. For someone with a life-threatening medical condition, I need this info visible on my lock screen. Please fix!
would be a very good app (fairly easy to use), except it keeps randomly dumping/clearing all info you have put in.
