Icedrive - Free Cloud Storage

Unfinished, buggy, unusable is how I would sum this app up. Main purpose for me was to sync photos and videos. That function doesn't work at all, and I've tried for days. Furthermore, the backup also doesn't work, it just fills my notification bar with "upload canceled" and the "cancel uploads" is super slow /doesn't work. Lastly, the developers made the dumb decision to have the app auto sync the drive on mobile networks, which meant it destroyed my 50GB monthly subscription in one day. Awful

I was looking for an alternative to OneDrive after another round of corrupted files. Ice drive has great encryption, and multitude of plans ranging from monthly to Lifetime. I chose the lifetime plan. Apps for Windows, Mac and Linux are a plus. My only real dislike is the lack of biometric login on the Android app.

great cloud app! great prices! paying for the LITE 150GB plan because that's all i need (thanks!). wish for 3 additional features for this app: (1) sync specific folder; (2) sync specific folder to encrypted storage (if possible?); (3) "backup data" would use same named folders as on phone -- and not "auto organize" nor messy no-folder file dump. but thankful can manually upload folders, and that icedrive has webdav and therefore can use FolderSync app to sync specific same-name folder. thx!

I've had the lifetime 1tb plan for a year. It is amazing. Incredible speeds. And they keep adding more features. They've made file sharing better. And added 2fa. I have messaged and asked them if they still plan to fully end to end encrypt the service by the end of 2022 as this was stated in their road map before they removed their road map and they responded to my support ticket saying yes, they still plan to have end to end encryption as standard by 2022.

App works pretty much flawlessly. However I can't give it five stars since there are a few improvements I like to see, so that my workflow is seamless. 1. The apps Device backup is great but doesn't allow you to pick specific paths. 2. The App auto opens on "My Icedrive", however since I'm only using "Encrypted Storage" it would be nice to set that as default (or add a toggle 'encrypted only mode') 3. Allowing for plaintext files to be displayed in app 4. Is file caching present? Love it anyways

The app crashes after clicking the upload button, or when trying to view a file, so I have to rate the mobile app poorly. The service it provides is very good though, and I will continue using the desktop versions.

Having tried quite a few cloud storage apps I have found icedrive to be one of the best. Had slight issues with all of the others but icedrive is the only one that hasn't messed up at all. Smooth uploads,downloads, shares, and at a good price for the pro. Use it in my pc to back up important stuff. It's either Icedrive or Pcloud. Currently icedrive works for me the best.

AUTO uploading doesn't work. Failed to upload videos, gifs collages etc. Only uploaded yahoo chimes. Yes My settings are correct and all inclusive.. Just doesn't work. 😭I want to change cloud from Russia based yandex and have questions before purchasing premium Sent an email .. Hi. VERY FAST MUCH FASTER AND RELIABLE THAN GOOGLE DRIVE. . Reliable. Beautiful display and fast uploading. Why not increase your free gigs to 15 like Google Drive?

Best cloud I've ever had. Certainly beats l competition in my opinion. Security at its maximum and very fast upload and download speeds. I truly love the virtual drive feature and have replaced the physical drive needs since I can do just that through here. I'm gonna opt-in for the 5TB Lifetime very soon.

Latest update hanging at login on Android 12. Auto-upload annoyingly uploads the same thing a few times from my camera roll. Hopefully they will stay the course and the lifetime subscription will pay off. Good app and a Linux client is also a bonus.

Uploading and extracting of files are very quick. Easy to use app Only one draw back you can't play video in the app after uploaded, it's taking a lot of time to play

No option to auto sync a specific folder from my Android phone to my Icedrive account :( I was considering a paid Icedrive account, but if you don't even offer such a basic feature... I will look for another service that does.

Compare to Onedrive or DB, this app is wayyyy slower. Slow to load, slow to open, slow to download, slow to create link. Play music is somehow quite fast. Camt use this fully yet as the desktop app dont have full feature like OD or DB yet.

I'm using it on a variety of devices from laptop to smart phone and bought a lifetime plan. I'll love to see seamless and native integration in android devices for saving pictures and documents as it were a SD card

Cheap plans for encrypted data. Upload speeds are very decent, and they got apps working on just about anything (even Linux!) $20 for 150 gb is a very good plan!

Alternative to Dropbox Causes a slightly different way of working as not all apps can see the icedrive to download files from, so have to download files manually from icedrive to device to be able to edit them. Also no visual star to add yet, but can have different coloured folders. Also no swipe navigation yet, have to use up arrows in corner. Prefer using browser to virtual drive on pc, because it slows everything down. Definitely enjoy using it though.

Lots of syncing problems (due to unstability on the server hosting the files?) I asked Support before installing the app whether my files synced from PC to Android would be visible to other apps or not. Got an answer that made be believe they would be. But they were not. The user interface is really great, though! And I liked how IceDrive let you assign any free drive letter for the IceDrive.

Great so far. Thank you guys. Been using this for a few months. Option maybe to delete files after successful sync? Thinking of pics specifically during autoupload

I really wanted to like it. It seems like a great cloud storage app. It's affordable. it had great security features. It seems like a perfect cloud storage app. There's some fatal flaws however. There is no way for me to look at the upload or download progress. Every time I want to download/upload a file, nothing happens until the video suddenly appears in your drive. You're just uploading/downloading blind with no way of knowing file gone through. Also refused to play some videos I uploaded.

It is a good app, I would like if you could add more folders in the auto upload, translating the app to Brazilian Portuguese would also be a good move! I'm looking forward to it. It has a small bug in the backup area, where it is unable to finish it resulting in consecutive failures until a full backup is obtained. Besides the fact that it shows that it has backed up the same files several times, I don't know if that's the case, anyway. Thank you!

I thought it is amazing when I saw many of the people are promoting it, say things like this newcomer is worth considering and its lifetime plan is awesome. And after I bought the 5tb lifetime plan, I regret. The up and download speed are slow and unstable, the virtual hard drive is extremely laggy, I can't even play my video in the virtual hard drive. Also, the sync features of the desktop app have lots of bug, something they just stop syncing for reason. The service is barely acceptable.

Great App! Awesome! It even has a dark theme. 10gb free storage. No advert ridden download page. Just the way I want it. Nice work. Just one con, in grid view, the folders size are okay but the files thumbnails are too large thus making scrolling cumbersome. They should be small. But that's the Android app. The computer drive is slow to load, doesn't update if you edit files and if you lose internet in the process, your file disappears!

I'm quite liking Icedrive as a cloud storage system, and the app is very good so far. The only thing I'd like to see is multiple folder uploads. You can upload one folder, and it's subfolders, but can't choose several seperate folders together. Also, no matter my internet speeds, I never get more than 1mbps upload speed. Overall though, very good!

First of all, love all the different plans they offer. I have the $5/month plan until I can save up enough for one of the lifetime offers! The only thing I hate about this is I dumped like 40GB of photos and videos into one of my folders, and the app crashes FREQUENTLY every time I try to load it/open up the folder. I try through the website as well but even then it glitches and I get "website has stopped loading" errors. Other than this (kind of big) issue, I love everything about the app.

Not great so far. The upload speed is incredibly slow. I can live with that in the free account. BUT I purchased an upgrade and haven't been able to access my additional storage. The app keeps saying I'm almost out of storage and to look at the premium plans. I go to those and get an error that I've already purchased a premium plan. So far I haven't received any assistance but I just submitted a support ticket today.
