Icefields Parkway GyPSy Tour

Very informative! Would highly recommend this if unfamiliar with the area. Yes guide books are good, but the driver cannot be as involved. They made sure which stops were the must sees well in advance so we could make a decision about which stops we wanted to make. Great example is a stop which just looks like another mountain, but actually had a chunk missing as it had broken away and created huge boulders. Could have easily missed that with untrained eyes! Downloaded the others too.

It was impressively amazing. This is my first 5 start rating for an app. It made the trip much more enjoyable and educational. We would turn a corner and my wife and I would spot something. In seconds, GyPSy will then start saying, "in front of you is the ...". It is like having a personal tour guide. It would recommend stops along the way. It's easy to use and the voice is very clear. I will start using it for all my road trips.

Great App. I wouldn't have known where to look, what to look at or what I was looking at if it weren't for this app. I would have aimlessly drove to the ice fields at the end and stopped to look at a few look outs never knowing to look up at floating glaciers, hiking to the gorge where water runs rapid through the earth below a bridge, etc. It really highlights some great history, scenic stops and amazing hikes that I would have never found.

This app provided valuable information on our July 2019 trip. As we would make a stop, once we got back in the vehicle, it would pick back up where we were and continue on. We learned so much history we wouldn't have known otherwise. The stops recommended were never disappointing.

Me and my wife downloaded this app after finding the Jasper version while staying there. It is absolutely brilliant, the content is well written, detailed and shows a huge amount of personal knowledge of the area. We are so pleased we stumbled upon it, it's like having an extremely knowledgeable mate in the car! Very good value for money.

This app is brilliant. In the Rockies at the moment and using app has made our trip so much better. It's like having our own tour guide. Easy to set up and use. Commentator is amusing and very informative. Just downloaded Banff one for next leg of our adventure.

i bought 3 of these last week on my road trip. ice fields parkway, lake louise to kamloops, and kamloops to vancouver. they were all GREAT. spot on, easy to follow, and very informative. made the trip much more interesting and he even made the boring stetches interesting with history lessons and stories. i would most definitely purchase more of them anytime its available for my route. price was extremely fair. you would pay more for a map at a gas station.

We have used several of the Gypsy Guide apps on lots of different trips to Canada and the US and found them a fantastic source of information. Loved the history, light commentary and great direction. Loved it so much we have encouraged famy and friends to use it. Well done.

app was useless. could not locate us accurately and didn't work most of the time as there isn't data service in this remote area.

Excellent way to enjoy the Icefields Parkway drive. Hearing each chapter of the explorers who first mapped out this area kept us engaged the entire drive. I particularly enjoy how the tour preps hypes you for each awesome views before they come up.

Gives great information and insight into the history and points of interest along the route. The suggestions on where to stop were invaluable to us, as we are visiting for the first time. Highly recommended.

Overall good app, however it is apparent that the Columbia icefield tour is being not honestly mentioned as a huge waste of time and money. I believe there was some kind of payoff so that the narrator didn't rat out this tourist trap. Shame.

Such a helpful guide and wonderfully factual narration that made this tour so enjoyable and relaxing...have downloaded three our Gypsy apps for the remainder of our driving tour

Great app. Kind of like travelling with a friend who knows all about the sights you are seeing. And the humour isn't bad either. Well worth the price.

Great app! Loads of commentary. Beware two things: most of commentary along parkway down and up is the same. Also it uses loads of battery, so force close the app when you leave the car.

Points out all the highlights, but also chock full of helpful guidance, historical background, relevant scientific information, etc. Fantastic app, and well worth the price!

Everyone in my vehicle enjoyed this app. I would highly recommend it and intend to look for similar apps for future road trips.

Great app for traveling the Icefield Parkway! Narrator provided lots of helpful tips and info as we travel along this beautifully scenic route. We used the App driving from Lake Louise to Jasper and on our return trip as well. Some of the info on return trip was a little different than the info provided on the initial trip (which we appreciated). Highly recommend this app!
