ICICI Bank i-safe

I installed this app hoping some sort of ease in generating OTPs. I got nothing more than disappointment with this app. I was not even able to activate this dumb application. It keeps me saying "Communication error". If I am able to post this review using my mobile phones' data connection, nothing is wrong with my data connection. Totally waste of time. Icing on the cake was the customer care service. My opinion - Don't install this app.

Activation is a headache in itself. Once through that the app starts generating alphanumeric passcodes so cant use them in imobile transactions. And then out of blue (probably after an update) the app is asking for activation url again. Deactivate i-safe never works, keeps regretting the inconvenience caused. And now am totally lost as am unable to do online transaction.

Never expected such idiotic app from one of the best trusted bank. Otp generated never works on website. Can't disable the isafe option once activated. Above all, poor customer care executives have no idea how to disable the same or generate otp any how...kindly Avoid such apps and save ur appropriate time.

I have added a payee but I cannot confirm it because the infinity website says that the OTP is incorrect. The funniest part is that I cannot deactivate i-safe. I think one needs to wait for some time before trying to use this to confirm a payee. If so, that should be stated in the message. For other transactions, this app is good.

Agree with other reviewers who wanted to give a negative rating. Used to work just fine but stopped working after an update. Icici website can't recognize the generated otp anymore! Fail to understand why develop a disgusting app to cause so much pain for customers

This app does not work and u will end up locking ure account and spending time with the CS folks trying to fix a new issue. Send incorrect otp's which do not work. Wish we could under rate and give -5 stars.

Till now it is the best app for internet banking otp alternative. User interface is simple and very quick to generate otp. For credit and debit cards still getting otp to mobile only. Please link this app to credit and debit cards also. So that otp generation will be easy for credit and debit card holders. Travelers travel with credit and debit cards and its easy to pay through the cards but getting otp for them is difficult. So please, icici team should link this app to credit and debit cards transaction.

A complete crap app. Wanted to book a train tatkal ticket by net banking so filled up all the details on IRCTC and at the end moment of my payment procedure none of the codes generated by this app worked and I lost the chance to reserve my ticket. OTP via SMS is a reliable option. Don't use this. I think these app developers needs to Learn from Google Authenticator app.

The worst ever OTP generator I saw in my life. There is no proper integration between app and ICICI Web account. Even tried to call customer care but still problem unfixed. Anyone can generate pin from your app using any random number... even you'll able to generate pin by using 123456. In simple words don't trust this app and use sms for OTP

Extremely poorly configured App. Very erratic behavior. Is a potential Security risk. Tried conveying this to different hierarchy of the Bank up to MD Ms. Chanda Kochar . No relief nor any acknowledgement. SBI OTP app is so superior, comprehensive. ICICI Bank evidently outsources such Security apps. They deliver a poor product, walk away with no internal competence to fix it. In the era of Digital, such apps are terrors for customers, Avoid it .... Wish I could give a negative rating

''An app to generate OTP so when you travel, and do not have access to sms to receive OTP''. The concept sounds great. Except it is only a concept! Just doesn't work. Every time i generate an otp, and use it to make online payment in the Mastercard gateway, i get a message saying wrong otp or invalid credentials. Just a waste of time! And absolutely no way to make payments when travelling abroad. This needs to be fixed ASAP or I'm switching to Axis where they have a concept that actually works!

Two major bugs in this app: 1. SMS facility should not be disabled even when isafe is activated, because one may not always have reliable internet connection or the handset available in which app is installed. So otp becomes handset dependant! 2. The app generates otp irrespective of any mpin entered!! No safety for otp..! Needs an immediate fix..

Register but after when using say, your mobile number is not registered with us. As we know that services of this bank is always poor. If negative rating, then definitely I will give - infinite

Didn't get any activation url. Didn't get an otp to verify this crap. Also, why are there a zillion ICICI Bank applications here? I just want to add a payee, so why is that so difficult. Someone has made some ridiculously insane design choices here. Either they're eating your money in your IT Department, or you're a fool.

ICICI wanted to be a pain but was finding it hard to figure out. Some genius had a great idea bam! iSafe. No matter how hard you try, this app won't let you down. It is a well thought out pain. If you have installed it then you are done. It will take lot of tries to even get it deactivated. Looks like ICICI does not have any intension to fix it. Wonder how this app made it to the market.. who has certified it. Pathetic experience and app.

I have travelled abroad and activated isafe facility for otp as I won't be able access my mobile number. It worked fine for few times and then it started asking the URL again sent on mobile no. This app crap...stay away from this app

OTP generated by this app is not accepted in any transaction. Tried several many times but, otp was not accepted even once. @icici - Kindly do us a favor by either fixing the bug or completely let go of this app.

The otps generated by the app never work. Deactivate link does not work. Customer care does not know how to disable it.

Well I thought I was the only one who was inconvenienced by this app, after reading the reviews, I realized, ICICI created it and has abandoned it. The problems are going on for long time and nobody has bothered to address it.

The OTP was not accepted by the system. Poor app. Doesn't deserve even 1 star. Even after reinstalling, it worked for few days and again stopped working. Worst app ever build.

Almost 90% of the time i get the message "input i-safe OTP is invalid". Last 2—3 this message is very common and i am not sure how to approve the payee. Worst service from Icici

Very very very very bad.. I have tried all to activate i-safe app but still I am out.bad experience. I can't activate i-safe app from browser and I can't activate otp by copy and paste the link from SMS sent.

Pin generated on iSafe app always fails on website..I always see error invalid iSafe pin...and on top of it, in website you won't find any option to deactivate iSafe

I have entered the OTP at the 4th stage but it's not proceeding ahead and I am stuck up at the 4th stage of activation.

Finally discovered how to merge both activation SMS. Verified the OTP generated. But during actual usage the OTP is rejected. OTP generated by app is alphanumeric, while OTP usually sent by SMS is numeric. Anyway, did not work, so deactivated and asked to send OTP to mobile.

Pathetic app. Never rely on this app. Most of the times OTP generated through this app reports as invalid during payee registration. Never expected such unreliable app from reputed bank like ICICI. Need immediate improvement.

Worked fine for few days.. But later on the OTPs generated by this app are not at all working.. Updating the App does not work either,, Now I can't even deactivate app/change Pin using net banking.. It is showing currently service is unavailable..
