Icing On The Cake

Great game actually, it's satisfying. But the controls are horrible. I pointed where I want to put the icing on but it goes 1/2 inch of where I pointed. Then when I was smoothing out the cake it shows the icing with a different color, I haven't even put a different color. also the time to finish a good looking cake is bad as well.. Atleast give us a button or a check to show that we are finish, so that we can make it look satisfying and feel content with the work. I had to uninstall it.😒

This game is really nice and relaxing but there are some problems. The icing always bleeds through to other layers when I spread it. Sometimes, the icing gets splotchy even though I applied it throughly. I never had a problem with ads as they are quite balanced with gameplay. As for the decorate button, half of the time it doesn't work. I press it and nothing happens. Please fix the problems, to improve. - Mays

There's just so many bad things about this game. First of all, the amount of ads is unreal. Everytime I pass a level, an unskipable ad pops up. Secondly, when I try to open the app, it crashes and I have to restart my phone. The gameplay could be better too. When I the cake is just about perfect, I get something like 98% and have to watch an ad so that I can decorate it to get a perfect score. This game is getting 1 star but if I could, I would give it -10. I do not recommend this game.

There is no tutorial on how to use the tools and apply the icing to the right spot. I'm aiming at what should be the correct spot to place the specified colour and it lands somewhere completely different. No option for corrections either. There are far too many ads for this game as well. One after every cake and sometimes before you've even finished. Although the game is called Icing On The Cake, I would have liked to do more than just place icing incorrectly then smooth it out. A bit boring.

I have givin this game a 3 star because when I try to put the icing on the top with another color, it will mix together. The second thing is that every time I try to smooth the icing out, it would smudge with another color as well, sometimes when I haven't even touched a color it would mix. Please fix these 2 things and i might give it a 4 or 5 depending on how you fix the problem. If you don't fix it, it would be just as fine. I would not delete this app. Thank you for your time.

This app is alright.. I don't have the lag like everyone else does, but it's impossible to get the perfect cake. I put the icing on and when it seems absolutely perfect it adds icing that wasn't even there in the first place! Also the ads are a problem. I really don't think the amount of ads for this game are necessary, I mean the ones advertising this game. They just seem to make you install the app and become disappointed. Anyway I have uninstalled the app and I wouldn't recommend it.

5-10 seconds of play then a 30 second add. I had the game downloaded for about 10 minutes. In that time I completed about 7 levels. And each level was done within 15 seconds. I cant even comment on the actual game play because I spent more time watching ads instead of playing. There is an option to pay for no ads but I wasn't even able to properly test out the game to see if I would have done that option or not.

The fact that it automatically brings you to the too of the cake is good and bad. The controls are touchy when you are moving the piping bag, and the target circle doesn't go where you touch so it's hard to get the exact spot you want. It is very hard to get a 100% on a cake that has to be iced and smoothed. Even when it looks almost identical to the picture, it will still give you somewhere in th 80% range.

I really like the concept of the game, it's so satisfying. But there are a lot of problems. The icing and flat tools are hard to control (especially for the cakes with squiggly lines, I mean, its IMPOSSIBLE). I also hate that you can't choose to view the top or side of the cake. It makes it hard to ice the top accurately when it just switches automatically. The frosting fills in random spots with incorrect color when you smooth it out too. This app could be made a lot better in in a lot of ways.

This is a really satisfying game, BUT, sometimes the icing gets smudged into really random places, messing up your cake. Also the ads are annoying, but that can be easily resolved by turning off your wifi, so I don't know why people are making such a big deal out of that. So in conclusion, the app itself is pretty ok with just a few minor things I wish to change.

Other reviews of the game are pretty spot on. Ads after every level, which isn't the worst because you can skip many of them! However, the controls are pretty weird/a little touchy. To avoid getting icing on the other colors, I started the new colors by having the icing tube start on the side of the page, off of the cake. I personally uninstalled because I'm too much of a perfectionist to have my icing colors running LOL! Other than that, pretty okay game to pass your time! :)

This game is satisfying, easy, and also a fun way to pass the time. I do wish that moving to the top was easier, that there were different sizes in the icing (or moderate to the cake size), and that the icing wouldn't blend so much. For this particular game I'm not picky on the graphics, but I do wish there were some more challenging levels--if only to spice it up between the easy levels. Overall though, it's easily one of my favorite ways to kill time. :)

Enjoyed the overall concept of the game, but there were times where I was generally frustrated. When you frost the cake accordingly and proceed to smooth it out, some of the colors from the bottom will appear on the top and some of the colors from the top will appear at the bottom. This would happen frequently every cake. The game would also automatically decide whether or not you are finished with your cake even if you say otherwise, thus, causing the cake to not be fully smooth and blended.

Not bad, but I can't play it anymore because it keeps freezing then closing. It did this on the second level, but after I closed and reopened the app it worked again. But now I'm on the white and blue cake and every time I try to play it freezes after 5 seconds. I tried to play that level 6 times and my game froze every time. I have a galaxy s9 and I'm playing on wifi. I'm not sure why the game keeps freezing.

Concept is great. Controls are frustrating. For example, when icing a cake, you'll have multiple different dotted areas you must keep the icing inside when piping to keep it looking nice. The top circle at the top of the cake is literally impossible to pipe without getting some outside of the lines first because tapping the spot does nothing. I wish there was an option to first pin point where you are placing your icing to start, by tapping the spot, and then work from there. :(

It's an alright game, ads every 2 seconds but it's manageable... UNTIL you put earbuds in or turn on the sound. It's so hard to explain. There's a strange squishing sound (I guess to symbolize icing?) Paired with the sound of a plane taking off. Overall, a good concept but horrible execution. Also, if you're a perfectionist or actually like spending your time with something relaxing, wouldn't recommend.

Concept is good, however you don't design your own cakes, you try to replicate others. You need better control of the spatula and you can never get the colours right so it is impossible to ice 100% (in my opinion). There are heaps of ads so I advise you turn off your WiFi and or data on your device before playing so you don't get any (this is what I do). It gets boring after a while so I have uninstalled it. Graphics aren't the best.

Had to delete. Very boring since cake shape's the same. There were a lot of problems that kept interfering. It would jump to smoothing out the cake before i was done icing. It also would add mistakes where i didnt have that icing at. There's no tutorial which isn't terrible but i was trying to figure out why it was doing something and couldnt because it has no information to it. I should be able to control my view but i just get a default. There's way too many ads. Every other cake i had one.

So. This game is literally the embodiment of trash. When I got it, it took me forever to get because it wouldn't let me download it. (Not because of storage.) When I do the icing perfectly, and smooth it perfectly, it doesn't let you get a perfect score unless you 'donate'. Then, when I perfectly do the icing again and when I smooth it out (keep in mind my colors are on the right area), THERE IS RANDOMLY COLORS THAT WERENT EVEN THERE APPEAR! This game is horrible, I suggest you don't get it.😠😤

The game is easy and relaxing, but there is one problem. When I get close to being done with the icing, it automatically makes me smooth it out when I am not done putting the icing on, and that puts the color of icing from the level below on top where I missed. If you could make it a choice for when you want to smooth it out so it doesn't put a different color of icing, that would be great. Otherwise, the game is great!

A very interesting idea, they almost got the mechanics of the game down in a way that makes it relaxing and fun. HOWEVER.....I played through the first 15 levels, and had to watch 9 30-SECOND LONG ADS. It's practically between every level, and it's irritating. The graphics and gameplay are not worth unlocking the ad free version for 3 bucks. Swing and a miss.

It's quite a fun game giving lots of different designs to complete. However there must be a glitch in it somewhere as you can perfectly place the different colour icing in the boundaries but end up with it all merging throughout. This then obviously effect the percentage you get and is really annoying. It's also impossible to do a clean top circle of icing with the way the game is designed. Not a game for perfectionists!

If you like watching long ads after a (literal timed) 7 second game, then this is for you! Sound effects need work like the other review said. And the control doesn't feel as satisfying as it looked. It feels glitchy, jumpy, buggy. It could have been a lot smoother. But my main reason for uninstalling was the ads between EVERY level. 40-60 second ads every 7 seconds, not worth my time, there better games out there guys, don't get sucked into one like this that wastes tons of your time with ads.

While it may seem like a fun game, its not. First off, it takes up WAY too much battery life. When I first got on, my battery was at 82%. Then after 1 round, it lowered down to 3%!!! Also, the game doesn't care if you're done icing, it decides that for you! When I was trying to fix up the top of my cake, it suddenly switched tools! Then I got a bad percentage. I don't recommend it at ALL! 👎

WAY TOO MANY ADS! However, the game itself needs a lot of improvements. First of all I wish I could move the cake around before I begin icing instead of just jumping into a spot and hoping it'll land where I was aiming. Also, I wish it would let me choose when I want to switch to the smoothing tool, rather than it automatically switching before I can finish icing. Also let me finish smoothing BEFORE it says I completed the game. If they fixed these issues the game would be 5/5 stars for me.

This game is super duper cute and I like the sounds as well! The only thing is, it would be so much cooler if you let us choose WHEN to start smoothing out the cake OURSELVES! Ya know, sometimes I don't get to finish my "masterpiece" and the game forces me to start smoothing it out even though it's incompete. The caps lock isn't supposed to intimidate you, just thought it would be easier to understand this way. Or not! Anyways, love ya all!

Game itself is fun but when you're trying to put icing on the top of the cake, I always cant get it within the lines because the top if the cake isn't fully seeable/ accessible until you start putting it on... and by that time you already mixed icing colors. So annoying I had to delete the game. You should add an option where if you use two fingers to drag down, you can view the cake with a bird's eye view for the best icing job.

I really like the concept of this app. I'm a Baker and love all things cake. However the ads are crazy! I understand free games often have some ads in them, but this game is just ridiculous. After ever decorating sessions, that's only takes a few seconds, you have to watch a 30 sec ad. I watched more ads than I planned the game.

It was actually a really soothing game, once I turned off data & wifi. The adds were so ridiculous, in terms of quantity. Literally after every single level was an add. I made it to level 200 and got tired of the exact same designs, challenges, etc. It's like they chose 5 things and just recycled them, in the same order. I held out hope that it would get more challenging as the levels got higher, but they didn't. Which made it go from soothing and fun to boring and annoying.

It is a good game, typical game by these people. Ads are fine, but that is coming from a person who doesn't normally get bothered by ads, as long as they are short or you can skip after some time. Only issue is that you can't remove the tool that spreads the icing, making it difficult to make the cakes similar to what you are supposed to make. Other then that great game!
