Icon Changer free

This app is no longer fit for purpose. While it has been useful and functional on every phone I've had since 2012, it is now no longer functional. Following their included instructions will, WILL change your icons as you choose, but after anywhere from one to three days, the changed icons will switch to this apps default icon. Making using this app tedious and terrible. Having to "fix" 26 apps every other day is just not worth the time. Hope it gets fixed at some point in the future!

The icons I created only stayed for 2-3 days. After that, they all changed back to this app's icon. This app says it may not be optimized for my device (Samsung Z fold 3). I should have believed that part because it was correct.

Good for a free app,but it still needs more work. Firstly the intrusive video ads that come up after changing an icon, currently I am unable to skip them. Lastly their is (at least on my Moto Android 8.0) a white background behind the newly changed icons that I can't make transparent. However if both these issues are ironed out then it will be a fine addition to your app collection.

Now every icon it creates has this app's icon in the bottom right corner. It used to work just fine on the same device/firmware. I found another app that still works. If this were a watermark and there were a paid version to remove it, I would be just fine with it, but that isn't the case. Apparently it is an Android O limitation, but this is the only app that is still suffering from it.

This app was decent but now there is a pointless watermark with no options for removing it. After changing an icon the app gets stuck at a blank screen and the only way to go back to change another icon is to restart the app each time. Not sure why they decided to include a watermark unless they wanted to offer a paid ad free version of the app but they don't.

Could only access one of the icon packs ("simple text") - all others "were not found." When attempting to create a new icon using simple text pack, this app kept crashing. When I finally managed to finish and save the very simple icon, it was nowhere to be found! Uninstalled. Good concept but doesn't work for me (pixel 2).

No longer works on my version on Android, icons cannot be resized or added correctly. I'm unable to repeat what I did before and match current icons.

Put this app back the way it was. It was so easy to use. Now it is difficult to manuver thru and doesn't stay the way you set it after a few days. Don't like anymore!

The Icons no longer stay changed. Was a great app. I've been using the app for years. It's no longer usable.

This app was really cool when I first downloaded it. It allows you to take your Icons abd change them by Color, style, shape, etc.. But the recent version Ive downloaded, adds the creaters Logo icon to the bottom corner of any icon yoy change. Thats ugly and kills the whole purpose of wanting to change the icon in the first place. So It went from being an app I had to have, to being uninstalled after 5minutes of downloading it. Revert it back to the way it should be without your apps logo on top.

I've used this now accross two devices. The app stopped working for some reason on my Nexus 6 when it initially did work about a year ago. I have switched to the Pixel 3 XL and the app works on Android 9.0 on this device however I found that each icon has the 'app changer' icon on it as a water mark, which is ugly. Technically it works, it just depends on if it works on your device and version of Android and you have to be willing to put up with the watermark.

I think most of the problems recent reviews are experiencing is because this said it doesn't support Oreo. I was able to make the icons I wanted, but they all contained the apps watermark which ruins it. Also after making each icon, the app froze up. Assuming the second issue is due to Oreo but not sure about the first one. I'd pay to get rid of the watermark.

I loved this app as I wanted a black and white colour scheme and it allowed me to change the regular icons to B&W version but since the update it insists on stamping them all with a coloured water mark. I won't be be using it any longer. Argh! Just found out the icon stop working if you uninstall it! Pretty cheeky method of keeping it installed. Even more reason not to use it.

I've had this app for a long time. It always works even with the boring Pixel launcher. And you can easily remove the watermark!

Just my experience with it.. but the only thing I found intuitive or easy to use were playing the advertisements - those worked well. I tried installing and using this per and external article - twice, on Android 8 / Oreo, LG G6. It just wasn't happening for me. It lasted 30 minutes while I tried to make it go. My vote: Avoid - at all costs

They updated the app to include a watermark on created icons. It's basically this app's icon tacked onto the bottom right of whatever icon you made. I dont even understand the point. The scummy and frankly dumb thing to do is to exploit the users and have the free version with a watermark and then a "pro" upgrade, but they don't even have an upgrade! There is no paid version. They're not scummy, just beyond stupid to worsen the user experience without even attempting to reap the benefits of it..

It took at least 10 attempts to get it to use the newly created icon. It kept using the original app's icon art as the new icon. And why does it have to superimpose a small version of your app's icon over the lower right corner of the newly created icon? It really defeats the whole process dont you think? At least offer a paid version for $.99 that works and without your little logo added.

I used to love this app despite the ads. I've used it for years on different devices. But now that it puts its own icon on the corner of any app icon or changes, it's not worth it. I loved this app because I could change the icons and make everything fit a certain theme or colour, or even make my icons invisible where only I could use them. Disappointing, now i need to look for another one

New review using Samsung phone. Does not apply to my old LG. Horrible changes. Every use leaves me with a large ad. I have to close the app before I can change another icon.I used to like it until all the icons are now watermarked with app icon. Why improve an icon's look only to have a watermarked? I'd support a paid version to eliminate these horrible changes. I used to really like the apps features.

does change the icon to whatever, I used a pic from my gallery, but stamps it's own app icon on your changed icon in bottom right corner. freakin why??? serves no function, no point to it, very disappointed especially considering the other two icon changers I've tried so far were complete garbage and did nothing but show ads every time I tapped something.

This app used to be outstanding. You could make an awesome icon using logopit and use your image. Now it has an android with arrows icon in the corner for a watermark which makes the screen look messy and bogged down. The icons will either not stay updates for what you chose it to be and will revert back to the original icon image or they will disappear. Starting today they started to duplicate themselves. I went to my home screen with four of the application icons there

UPDATE Jan 25, 2020...1. Never was a "watermark" as some note 2. Works fine with Android v9 and I am puzzled some say o/wise. A number of options are not available with Noughat or Oreo as they were with previous systems, namely making round icons...you are now limited to rectangular. Otherwise, customization can make your phone look AWESOME, and it will stand out above any phone using stock icons. Best option by FAR is the ability to erase the icon label/title.

So after some finagling it does work...my main problem with the app is your icons get a large watermark on them showing Icon Changer's icon. It's visually disruptive if you have a particular look in mind. Not sure I'll keep using this, which is a pity. It could be so much better.

Please remove the watermark. I would honestly pay money for the option to remove it. It's so frustrating-- zedge got rid of icons and coco also added a watermark. Used to love customizing my phone, and this app was my last resort, but unfortunately it also cant deliver a nice result with the watermark always present in the bottom right of the icon.

Great free App. Allowed me to make custom icons with real pictures for all my apps! Also allowed me to delete all the text/labels that went with them. Now my homepage looks so clean, it's great! Only down side is certain custom icons, like messages and email don't display that I have unread notifications. There might be a way to fix this, but I've only had the app a few hours.

I've only had this app for a short while now. And like many others, my only criticism is your icon changer you "kindly" slapped on the bottom right corner. If you do decide to fix this, I'll gladly rate 5 stars no doubt, and I'm sure many others will as well, considering the many complaints you are receiving are towards the icon changer on the bottom right.

I've used this app for years and absolutely loved it, but the new watermark goes against the the entire reason for creating your own icons! Screens no longer look pretty and sleek because there is a stupid little "icon changer" icon lying over the lower right hand corner of my created icon. Rediculous...I'm uninstalling right now.

This app is great for making Icons and Shortcuts!! Though I would like to see more features for editing and an overlay feature... Other then that the ads are minimal and only last a few seconds. I highly recommend this app!

This app is junk. Does not properly work. As soon as you set everything up and you're like okay I'm finally done it go to add the app to the home screen and it's the original app picture you started with. Waste of time do not download!
