ICONIA TAB Update Enhancement

I really wish they would update this app I still use thisn10 year old tablet . Do to the fact this has keeper up with everything compared to new ones that aren't very good.

The app won't update the tablet making the tablet completely useless. Literally the worst tablet I have ever used to date.

You all don't have a fix or an update for the Iconia | A1 Tablet year 2013 they should provide updates for people who cannot afford a new tablet or even get a new one at all because some people out here do not have the income or a job .

This apps needs to be removed it's wasting space and I need to be repaid for time wasted acer

Cannot download. My Acer A500 is only now useful as a wedge to hold a door open.

Very simple they are refusing to update this tablet so that we can buy the new versions?????????? Unethical my tablet looks like new...took great care of it but now it's useless I've given it to my 2yr son now for coloring....?????

Can't even see where to download the app' it's useless.

App will not update on my Acer A200 Inconia Tablet

Ever since the ICS update this tab has been ruined. I think Acer should make it right. I still have not seen a update past ICS. ICS also ruined my galaxy s two cell phone. Acer at least let us try jelly bean. Seems its not even a option. They all want you buy new tab. Finally figured out could get flash third party. Had flash before ICS update.

They are not offering a501 customers ICS. They ignore their customers complaints and have not issued an explanation or apology for their behaviour. I will never buy an Acer product again. I should have stuck with Apple. On top of all this they,make you pay for customer service... crazy. I would have rated this a zero if I could have. Jan 2014. Still the same issue and they have not responded at all. This is garbage and they should be ashamed of their behavior.

My tablet worked perfectly with no issues until I downloaded the 4.0.3 update last week. Now...lots of bugs. Tablet will go into sleep mode for only a short time then will shut itself off, then is difficult to restart. Wifi will sometimes not connect or will disconnect itself. Never did this before update. Worst of all is when using the internet when I click on many links, nothing happens. This update is really a downgrade.

Seriously. This update is an update to Acer software. Acer distributes the Iconia A500. Update all other installed software, then apply this update. I have done according to instructions, installed this update, and my Iconia works great. No visible changes, which works for me till we get the ICS upgrade. You got 3 choices: Stop your whining and follow instructions, stop your whining and don't follow instructions, or stop your whining and write your own patches/updates. But please, stop your whining.

camera fritzed out after about a month. and at times it is slow - feels like it has less processing power than my LG phone. on the plus side, its tough to find a tablet with a full-sized USB port so I'll rate you avg.

If you installed the new Google play update 3.5.15 apk that is floating around, you need to go into settings, applications, Google play, clear cache and uninstall updates. Let Google play update on its own. Then everything should download OK. And I agree about the whining. Amazing how ignorant and immature people are these days!

My landscape mode doesn't work now without a full device reset, I've been dealing with this issue for months. I'll never buy another acer product, and I'm near selling this thing to buy a tablet made by people who actually beta-test their updates.

The A501 has all the hardware to make phone call, but at the monemt you can only make sky or internet calls. Please put in the next up grade for users to use the table as a mobile phone. It would extend the life of the table and give it a larger market shae if you could use it as a mobile phone to make calls instead of just sms

It is middle of November and still no ICS for A501 in France, nice customer support Acer! Believe me when I'm saying this, I will not buy or recommend your products again, because you treat customers with disrespect, I know that is SFR's fault also but you have the only responsibility to deliver the update. Disappointed

hello, acer program developer, android ics alot of bugs which causing the tablet easily hang, lag, incompatible and etc. we hope acer developer get this feedback and rolling out stable version of android jellybean for acer A500 tablet, i believe many users facing the same issues. acer A500 once very popular and many ppl own it, as per now, there are some users still using it...we hope acer developer willing to spend little time to roll out stable OTA android jellybean for A500 tablet. your great work will be appreciated, thank you.

What's up with the browser. It always hangs up and give me stupid error messages when loading. Wait send error report or close. Over over and over. I sometimes hit wait three or four times before it finally works. Other browsers work ok . for awhile then same thing. Please fix the browser that came with my iconia a500

What good is this app if there is NEVER, EVER GOING TO BE AN UPDATE FOR THE Rogers/Acer A501 Iconia? Every one who bought into this Rogers/Wirelesswave/Acer crappola deal was doomed and was obsolete from day one, never again Acer! For me Samsung all the way next time, they always update their stuff and make you feel that your not a bound, beaten, and gagged prisoner of their stuff like Acer does and are actually part of this modern free world.

My Iconia A500 kept crashing on me since day one. Every 5 min it giving me an error message about internal video problem, and sometime my Iconia frozen/crashed. This is the last Acer product I will own. Next time I go with Asus or Samsung. DO NOT BUY AN ACER!!!!

Don't leave negative reviews for ics updates. This enhances the update experience and works as designed. Less than 7% of android devices have ics so quit bitching. Acer, thank you for another great product

Very since I did the update my tablet has been a complete mess. It is not work properly at all. The volume is not working right. The volume keeps getting stuck on mute. The screen randomly starts blinking rapidly and freezes. The apps keep shutting down on me. I cant even get my email to stay open long enough to read anything. Constantly getting force close/not responding msgs. Its so bad that it many times won't even let me send the report. So frustrated! What am I supposed to do now?

Don't get me wrong I like the new look and some of the stuff it does for you in the back ground, but my biggest problem with this update is it really bogs down the system. My tablet runs a lot slower and frankly I'm going to uninstall until they come out with another update to fix how much this bogs down the system. All in all I'd say pass on this for now but download at a later date.

A week ago I bought an Acer Iconia -it had Android 3.1 installed. Yesterday, my A500 gave me notification of an upgrade. Having read some of the comments here I was unsure whether to go ahead. I did the upgrade to Android 4.03. The upgrade went without a hitch.
