Idaho News & Weather from KTVB

Used to love this app, but after the new update, the site either crashes or the screen turns black with partial ad graphics while I'm reading an article. I'm really getting tired of this happening. I have a newer phone and the old app worked great until this latest update, and I don't have problems with any other apps so I don't believe it's a problem with my phone. I feel I have to uninstall it until this gets resolved.

The current version of the KTVB app is very laggy, so much so it is difficult to use, even on a new fast phone. All too often its easier to pop open the phone's web browser and just view KTVB's regular website. Look forward to the next app company that can produce a usable app. I'm rating this a two instead of a one because of KTVB's quality of content, not the poor app functionality. The app deserves a one.

Traffic map doesn't load, and deceptive practices on the California "do not sell my info" permissions piece pushed me over the edge. It is there, so they are meeting the requirements, but they purposefully made the selection toggle deceptive and confusing. I used to love KTVB, but the excessive ads, navigation that when you read a news story, and it takes you all the way back up to the top so you have to start all over again, are all reasons I just uninstalled KTVB from my phone.

Like everything except the ads always mess with my reading experience! Everytime on every article, in Reading halfway through a paragraph and Bam, an ad causes it skip down and I lose my place. I know you need paid for your app and everything, but it's irritating and makes me not even wanna read the articles. Other than that I love the app.

The reason " I " gave 5 star's to this app: cell phone devices need the equal strength signal as home televised programming sources to sustain the competitive edge. Without compromising our airline transmission services.

Is not updated frequently enough. Often the same items remain in the list for several days without significant updating. Very hard to offer comments.

I think the app works great. And for those who feel that it has become too liberal because of the Californian's, spoiler alert, most of them are republican...

there are alot more ads as compared to the last app. you cant read an article without the page buffering to load an ad. it will change the size of the ad pictures and throw you off where you were reading. its glitchy. not impressed at all. why would they add so much more nonrelevent content to the page? heaven forbid you accidently hit an add while trying to scroll who knows what wormhorle it will take you to.

New review (I still don't know if the have a quick way to find school closings, this was a very mild winter in the valley, and it hasn' tbeen a big concern.) My new annoyance with the app is that after I read a story and go back to the headlines, i have to scroll from the top down to get to the next one. Why can't it remember where I was on the main page. OH, and why does it take so long for the splash screen to clear. Saying good morning to me should just take a split second not five seconds.

The app is loaded with ads. It lags constantly because of it. As you are trying to read an article, you have blinking ads pop up and after every paragraph. It's horribly annoying. Just follow them on Twitter or Instagram and avoid it.

I do not like the new app and its new layout. Too confusing and cluttered. Can't get to the highlights and top stories any longer. Love KTVB & LOVED the previous version, it was my 'go to'. Don't like this new app at all. I will be uninstalling and find something else.

Been using this app for three years, now it crashes so much when ads are trying to populate in the articles, that it's almost unusable. Developers appear to ignore reported feedback. Wish there was a better option in the area.

This is by far the worst news app anywere., it was intentionally designed to force you to read highlighted stories by gliching and shifting the screen to what they want you to see and not vise versa...its to such a point that its spammy...would not under any circumstances recomend ktvb to anyone...

wont let me look at things without turning notifications on. i do not want my phone blowing up with notifications, thats why i have them turned off for this app. it will not let me go forward searching for topics without enabling notifications. not happy, will be uninstalling if i cant find a way around it.

The ads cause a delay on live news where a small delay of the video plays over the current video. It drives me nuts! Should have a way to go directly to youtube or somewhere else instead of viewing in app.

Still to many ads, they always load when you are reading stories, frustrating, I think I'll not open app unless I get a notification pop up , then I'll think twice. If it doesn't change soon I'll delete app, FYI

I personally do not care for the new app. The previous app was easy to read. Now it's all bunched together and I think it's missing the national news. Not as user friendly. Sorry KTVB. please bring back the older version.

Loved it before the update, but too many adds and horribly put together. Please fix. EDIT-- still glitchy and way too many ads. Does not work smoothly at all on Samsung note 10. Deleted..

I like to read local news. However, some stories are repeated 2-3 times the same day, sometimes for several days. I would like to see a better user interface that also includes more regional and world news as well.

I love this app!- i always get updates & notifications on all the breaking news, & other stories. It makes it really easy to stay intune with what's going on in our state.

Splash screen takes way to long. To many adds you have to keep scrolling to read a story. I liked the old ap way better. The new one is just to time consuming to enjoy.

I love this app. However since the new update videos only play in solid black or freeze the app. This is Extremely frustrating as I only watch or get the news on my phone. please fix these issue

Scrolling through the news is so difficult with all the ads and it jumps from one spot to the next, all so the ads can be placed in. Uninstalling finally.

new update is useless. It was my go-to before. now I'll be using a different service. shouldn't have to scroll through an article to see the next headline. inefficient and annoying.

I used to love this app, now after the most recent update its over complicated. I just want my simple news and weather app back! Now it's running even worse, Slow and not smooth at all!

KTVB 7 in my opinion is the Original news station of the treasure valley since the 1970's! [SO which station can say that]!

I get frustrated by the text of articles jumping about as ads load and change size. Sometimes I just give up trying to read.

Updated app is touchy. Having a slide up on the bottom is irritating as it's easily accidentally touched. Bring back simplicity.
