The old app was 100x better. Everything you could do on a web browser you used to be able to do on the app which included looking at your credit score. Now all you get access to are alerts and basically a settings bar that gives you access to account info (not actual identity guard features). My only guess as to why they changed the app was to save money. I can't imagine anyone at the company actually thinks this app is better than the old version. I mean look at all the reviews now...
If this app isn't improved I won't be renewing this service. It is essentially a notification mechanism and doesn't show details. For example the app shows I have a new credit account with with message to login to the website to see details. A competent app would show me those details. What's the point of using this app if I need to go to a website anyway?
Returning customer, very disappointed in the app changes since I last used the service. Basically useless, requiring web browser access for everything except basic account settings or alerts. Don't bother.
Is ok. It used to be better. Now I don't get credit inquiries alerts/notifications as before. Now one wants to continuously monitor one's credit reports outside this app. Imo defeats the purpose of you paying them to do it for you. Why? Because now they use a "credit rating" system which is NOT the one used by the credit bureaus NOR is accepted by lending institutions. So you're stuck looking at some score that is NOT REALLY your credit score.
It never ceases to amaze me when companies change a perfectly good app and the "new and improved" model stinks. Login's a problem, can't see credit scores, won't allow fingerprint to be set up, yadda, yadda, yadda! And of course the original version doesn't work anymore. Makes me want to change my credit monitoring service!
Been a user for some time and this application has taken a step, several steps backward. Gives you no real functionality other than alerts. No reason to install.
I just recently started with this app, saw the ratings and went full bore max protection. So, I understand all the info needed from me. What I don't understand is the info provided in the alerts i.e.y for transactions over limit doesn't show me who, what or how much the transaction is on this app. To get it requires using a laptop or desktop and logging in there. This is very inconvenient and lacks vision on the app developers. Can't drag the laptop everywhere for immediate needs. Fix this!
The app is not working correctly. It's not loading the overall scores and there is no button which will direct nor redirect me to a main/first page. It keeps asking me to authenticate my personal info, I guess to verify I'm the correct user EVERY TIME I login!! It's been like this for at least the 1 plus years I've been using it. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Credit Scores are no longer available using the App. They email you a notice that your score has been updated. You click the link, it opens the App and you sign in. Then you click the reports screen and the Credit Rating isn't there. I called customer service asking why I couldn't view my New Credit Rating that they just notified me about and was told I have to use the web from now on versus using their Trash App. Yet the email they send you doesn't mention that You Must use the web.
BEWARE. I just cancelled Identity Guard after EIGHT years. They recently made a changeover and lost all of my identification of credit cards, bank accounts, etc. I found this out myself. They never notified me and yet kept charging me for the protection they weren't giving. Bottom line: If you are with them, you should check your account now. I'm likely not the only one. For a protection company, they aren't very secure with our info.
Service is fine, I think. Not sure because this app is the absolute worst, piece of garbage. Forgot your password? Here's a link to reset that takes you to the log in page instead of the reset page. Got an alert? Here's a link to the app that tells you to go to the website but the link to the website just sends you back to the app. Fix your life.
Ok for viewing some basic credit score info, but you have to login a 2nd time to view secure messages (which doesn't work). This will then take you on an infinite loop of re-logging in. I would give 5 stars if this bug was fixed.
After this month I will be canceling my sub. I've been a member for at least 10 years. The new app and website suck. Why am I now only seeing one score? Hard to navigate. I called them and they told me that they use a new company for scores after I noticed that my scores dropped 30 points and nothing has changed. I don't trust them anymore. Went from being over 800 to 770.
This app sucks. Overall the service is good but the app is useless. It gives alerts just like I also get via email, but when I try to check the alerts in the app, it tells me to go to the webpage. This app adds zero value to the service. I've uninstalled the app.
Giving 1 star for the usefulness of the App aswell as some of the feature incl. in the Ultra. The app is pretty much useless at this point. All of the alerts details can only be read through the Web. The app basically is a bookmark to the website. Secondly the Alerts itself, some of them are useful but most of them just will cause you unnecessary grief. Some of the alerts indicate a stolen Credentials and has a standard message, change your pwd. There should be more info and what is affected.
Considering the importance of this app, it is the worst app of it's kind that I've ever had. It's not only terribly difficult to navigate, but it gives little to no explanation for any of the data that it "provides". I'm not sure this app really does anything to my benefit, since I never hear from IG regarding my account.
This app is terrible especially when compared to the previous app which was way more intuitive & had much more information for the customer to utilize. I don't even really see the purpose for the current app. It primarily doesn't do anything useful at all. Needs to have a upgrade made for it really bad!
Limited functionality. For almost everything, you need to log in via a browser vs this app. This includes basic things like reviewing and archiving alerts.
Using the same password I use on tge web, I am able to login, but using the same password when I try to view an alert, it says password is invalid. Also, why build an app if when there is an alert, I need to view it using my browser (of course requiring me to login again)? Quite useless, we'll just go to the website.
The anti phishing app won't update any longer. It just says check internet connection and resets. I don't understand what kind of protection you're even getting. You never recieve any help. Waste of money.q
The app will direct you to the website for details, the app itself is basic. The service is also not as promised. No fancy AI or social direction. Just lots of intrusive questions and the same results Google offers for free.
This app doesn't work. I go to allow fingerprinted login and keeps saying authentication failed even though I have entered it so many times
I can't even login. Says verification failed but I do see it loading my profile. The previous app worked, why fix something that is NOT broken!
App just takes you in circles with alerts. Can't see details of the alert in the app..it just tells you to log in to the app to view details and puts you back at login.
Ok, I've been with identity guard for over 10 years ! But this new app that doesn't show the 3 different credit scores will be the reason I cancel my subscription !!
useless. Waste of money . After putting all my info-bank accounts, credit cards, phone #s, drivers license, etc, they failed. I was able to open 3 accounts under my name and my wife's name. No alerts whatsoever even after a few days later. Beware dont waste your money with this company.
Useless app that sends you to web for actual info, where you have to login again. Also many creds leaks don't even tell you what site they're associated with. Not helpful.
Certainly most latest dependable technology & aggressive monitoring systems, when it comes to guarding ( valid clients ) of anyone----personally identifiable informations all the time, that can count on. Keep up the good work. Got it thanks for cooperation.
Fingerprint authentication fails every time. The log in screen always shows the wrong user name no matter how many times I change it to log in.
Not much to the app: If you set notifications to be texted to your phone then there's no value-add for it - you need to go to the website to do pretty much everything. While the app does partially hide the full ssn, credit card numbers, etc, it does display the full birthdate, which it should also partially hide. And odd that an identity theft app (and website) doesn't support, let alone require, two-factor authentication, even though every piece of sensitive data of a person is housed there.
