Very fun game - I've made multiple in-game purchases, but it's not necessary to do so in order to have fun. I like the multiple levels of "resetting" (ascending vs rebirth) that offer different levels of permanent boosts. My only ding is that the in-game documentation isn't great, so you have to go to the wiki or the discord to get information that I feel should be in the game (such as what the ascension perks under keys are).
So far, I've spent about a year playing. It has entertaining game play, and even offers different ways of fighting. Even at the highest level, there is a boss that could still easily beat you. There is always more. The only suggestion I have for improvement is to explain merits better, because I spent most of my merits on smaller things, only then figuring out that the keys have a use
I've read some of the reviews and have to say the negative reviews don't make sense. The game is a lot of fun with great depth and lots of things to do. Keep in mind it's an idle game so progress is steady but not instant. Gems (The premium currency) are easily obtainable in a few ways freely, from contests or in game skills. Any glitches are usually cleared by ascending.
An absolutely incredible idle experience. Not only can this game be played completely f2p without missing a thing, it never feels like you are pressured to not do so. The amount of stuff to do is awesome, and the way everything interlocks is extremely satisfying as everything is progress no matter what you do. There are certainly occasional bugs all throughout the game, but there is one more update still coming, and the game is impressive considering it was made by one person.
I can definitely say that this is quite a departure from a common idle game. There is so much to do, and though I've unlocked multiple areas there are still many I haven't. I've ascended once after playing for a very short time just to test out the ascension mechanics. But, enjoy that I can open areas and progress without constantly hitting the "ascend or progress no further brick wall." No reward or interstitial ads. When a free game is ad-less that is when I'm willin to buy in-app purchases.
This game is a perfect idle experience. It has challenges it has unique modes where idling meets variation and there are a lot of "jobs" that let you keep permanent upgrades. A perfect blend of idle and active gameplay. The bosses are difficult and require skill. My one issue - there are very little options on how to get elite currency, which gives a lot of QoL improvements, which feel mandatory at times. It's limiting and you feel punished for being poor. I recommend the game, but it's greedy.
Doesn't sync 100% or it does, but the function to both do so and recover cloud save isn't user friendly and I lost some progress, but almost everything OK other than that so each time I get a new phone to copy my game over is takes time to put things back the way I had them on the old phone. This is a great game app has zero ads app with lots to discover and unlock.
One of the best idle games I've played yet. Most idle games get to a point where it becomes almost impossible to progress if you don't pay money or have ads every 10 seconds but not this game. This game is one of the only games I've seen that will let you earn their premium currency by playing the game and even give you an option to regularly earn it. Would 100% recommend.
I like it. I've been playing every day since I downloaded. It is quite a grind when you get high enough in levels. I honestly wouldn't mind more areas or skills to work with. More abilities and skills on the skill tree would be nice. I'm sure there's plenty that could be added and hoping that more is eventually. Thanks for making such a great game.
Excellent idle game. And only developed by (mostly) one person? It balances "active" play really well with idling benefits so I don't feel like I'm losing out on anything by setting it down for a while. Only issue I have is a cosmetic bug affecting some progression bars but I can overlook that in such a quality game.
At the moment i cant recommend it. If you turn off the effects, it doesnt stay, and specific effects arent affected, like the particles in the ice move and the vampire move entirely. Pets grinding is extremely tedious, trekking even more, it involves occasionally checking the screen, wasting 15 seconds of your life then repeat. Even the dev looks like he stopped caring about it with enemies basically turning into recolors, make it way shorter and itd be better. Overall its abandonware right now.
Can get 99% of all content without money. Some things aren't explained that are crucial but all it takes is some trial and error and some quick Google searches. Best idle game I've ever played in my life. The only downside besides me eventually getting bored is there's no cloud load so when I reinstalled the game a day later, everything was reset but it was a great experience that'll never forget.
This game provides so much to do! For the genre, an absolute masterpiece. Progression is pretty smooth, even without any microtransactions. No ads at all. As someone who has played countless incremental games, this is the first time in years that one has kept me interested for so long.
Love the game and the execution is great. Sometimes is annoying when you bit a wall, but that is normal in an idle game. I am slightly annoyed that I lost some progress because I got 200 gems in the arcade, spent them on the infinite forge, ascended and got a lot of coins, and then when I reopen the game an hour later I lost that progress. Alsk, I love the fact you don't really get ads and you can earn the premium currency pretty easily. Thisgame scratched an itch I had. But could you add music?
I love this game, I've been playing it for probably years at this point. My only real criticisms are that there are MANY points later in the game where you hit a steep progression wall and it feels like you're inching along day by day. Pets and Spelunking in specific are agonizingly slow and tedious, but at a certain point it feels like you really just can't get any better in any activity. My other issue is that sometimes after a Rebirth I'll be grinding along for days, and then...SOMETHING gives me a massive boost in productivity, and I'm not sure what causes it. Suddenly I'm tearing through everything and getting tiers of money I didn't know existed. I'd like some "map" or something to explain to me where my power is coming from. Other than those two this game is excellent, and totally free.
I love this game. Most immersive and extensive idle game I've ever played. I highly recommend as a time waster. The only thing I have found as an issue is the fact that the stats and skills in the training and crafting areas reset themselves when the game reboots. I've lost upgrades I've purchased but didn't get back the coins spent. Please address this issue.
I love this game. Its very casual and you dont really need to put much time into the game to progress. Although I will say some things dont make sense. Some things could be described a bit better i feel like and instead of clumping similar things together, break them up and explain more about each thing. Theres the issue with crashing. For me its almost every 10 to 15 minutes of playing. Thankfully the game loads quickly so its not the biggest thing in the world. Would rate higher if fixed.
My UI seems to be bugged, lots of menus are overlaying on top of each other, so I can't accurately access and buy certain things. My forge is completely broken, the menus won't come up at all, and the only anvil that will even change items is the middle one. Becaus the forge items are so important to your development in the game, I've kinda got a wall. I'm hoping for an update that will fix it so I can get back to enjoying it.
First I'd like to report a bug I'm experiencing, when I unlock new mastery challenge sets(such as set 3, set 4, etc.) If I've already done some of the mastery challenges for that set, it doesn't give me the mastery points. This is becoming a big problem, and as of now I'm missing massive amounts of Mastery Points. Please fix this. On another note this game is amazing and I've been playing for months! This game is so unique and fun and I already pre registered for your next game!
Upon installation, I wasn't prepared for the depth this game allows for. Idle Skilling brings together all of my favorite characteristics of gaming; from flavor text to intricate spreadsheets, counters of all types, just to name a few. There's bosses, enemies and collectables, sure, but there is so much more. I don't want to spoil anything, but suffice to say, if you are looking for a game to pass the time or you wanna master a unique game, you've come to the right place...also secrets.
Very buggy. I understand that it's probably a single person developing the game, but the player experience is marred with bugs that make entire segments of the game unplayable. It is definitely one of the more interesting idle games in that there is an outrageous number of things to do, but they almost all feel rewarding and desirable.
Decided to double back on my previous review because the developer does make a point. The game is pretty fun and I like that you can earn gems in game but it does feel like some elements are balanced around having the speed doubling skillers/double mastery perk which would take a pretty long time to farm without picking up the starter bundle like I did. The UI is confusing and there are a lot of systems to manage all at once but I feel like that's part of the games charm. It's definitely a slow burner compared to some idle games out there but it's nice to have a game that I can leave to play itself for a bit. The only thing I'd really like to see added is the ability for auto-progress to work while you don't have the app open.
Excellence itself. No ads at all. Many secrets, many MANY things to do, a bit hard to grasp to start with but give it 30 minutes and you get it. I could litterally stay on it for 2-3 hours in a row before putting the phone down, and I'd still have things I could do. It's endless. It's fun. It's satisfying. It's awesome. Been playing for 8 months. Never have I played a game for more than 3.
Honestly, it's the most fun I've had in a mobile game for ages. Yes, it is extremely grindy, and time consumig, but that's the whole point. It's also a pleasing visual experience, it's simple, but quite catchy. If you are looking for an idle game, you should definitely get that one!
