I wanted to open an account and I had to use this service in order to be verified. Seems straightforward enough. In reality though it has been a massive inconvenience. I started the process 3 months ago and everytime I tried connecting to a specialist, I waited for hours and hours to no avail. I have only managed to connect once and the specialist didn't speak English so we had to disconnect... Absolutely terrible experience, if you can't deal with the requests then hire more specialists!

Unuseable, just keep crashing. Tried in on 2 Android smartphones and 2 different PCs. Apps are crashing instantly after pressing "Start identification" button and PC versions are crashing few seconds after that. Looks to me like the App itself is OK, but the backend infrastructure/server is broken. I was trying to connect for 2 hours before giving up. I never went as far as to connect with someone.

Horrendous. Never managed to identify despite trying on 2 devices. (The PC version worked). Issues included no agents answering, inability to choose the right language (this was for a French transaction and one of the people being identified spoke French), agent video freezing or not appearing, agents hanging up right away. A huge waste of time, putting at risk an important transaction in our case.

Absolutely terrible. The app barely functions. Tons of technical errors like random disconections and the camera bugging out. Sometimes you might receive someone who doesn't event speak your language, having to do the whole process again and other times you have to wait a long time for someone to even show up.

If I could give 0 star I would! It took me more than 1h (the app keeps crashing) to finally connect to the app! The first time it crashed mid conversation with a quite rude consultant, the second time I thought was good but ended up not working. So I had to connect a 3rd time and let me tell you, I have never been talk so poorly before! Been told to contact customer service, but didn't have their contact details! And hang-up on me.

Impossible to use. Tried several times over several days and simply do not get connected to anybody . Reinstalled the app. Checked all settings twice. Nothing helps. Just waiting and waiting. No matter the time of the day ... 10 minutes ... 20 minutes ... 30 minutes ... Nothing happens. You do not know if these horrendous waiting times are normal or wheter there is a problem. The app simply does not give any information. I wasted hours of my life. Highly disappointing experience.

I used the same device, galaxy s20 ultra, for all 9 trys, 4 times I could see the other side and hear them but they could neither see nor hear me. 2 times with only my video not getting transmitted. 7th try it worked but the app crashed as I tried to copy the code out of the notifations. The last 2 trys were even with the same person, the first time same as the first 4 trys, but the second time it worked barely, only that her voice broke off and took about 1 min until it was back to normal.

While trying to get verified for many times, once there was a situation I got connected to specialist talking with someone else in German. I had no option to leave the verification. Finally specialist noticed and said in German there is a technical issue and disconnected. Sorry for the person who couldn't complete their verification because of this.

App is bugged. Once you switch from the app to your messenger to copy the code sent to you by SMS, the prompt in the app disappears. It says you'll be connected to a specialist soon, even though you are still in a call with them. Aka no legitimization. The only way I was able to circumvent this was to use another smartphone for the sms confirmation. Also took me 2 hours once to get to a specialist. Extremely time consuming, not working reliably, not recommended.

Disconnedted during identification. It was almost done. Update: 1 step forward, then disconnedted. The root casue the application itself. If anything interrupts the process (eg. SMS sent by the agent, a password manager, etc) then app is immediately interrupted and the whole process must be started again. Also agent does not know the zero also told in british english as "nough". (1st person in my past 32 years who did not know this...)

It already didnt work last time I tried. They send emails to finish verification. Downloaded to try again, but still Doesnt work. After video with rep, it finally says this code has been used and cannot be used again. Just verify the info given or stop sending me emails.

Really bad experience, the app freeze many times. Just when they made the video call, and go to check the sms I return and the app just turns white. Bad connection, bad support and I have not a Penta account. Very bad

Terrible design. The process to sign documents cannot really be cometed as connection shuts down/app is reset when put in background, which the procedure requires at some point. I don't feel secure using this app, which is meant for secure transations...

Worst app i have ever come across, crashes at least 19 times out of 20. Spent 3 hours getting nowhere. Still haven't completed a process that was supposed to be simple. Avoid if you have the choice.

Experts are doing a fine job, when everything works. Otherwise they will end the conversation by saying: "Download the App on your smartphone". Unfortunately, the app does not work on this smartphone. Bad luck.

The app doesn't work with Bluetooth headsets for some reason, the audio quality is horrendous and it keeps crashing randomly. Whoever coded this should seriously consider a career change!

As stated in the previous reviews, the app simply doesn't work due to repeated crashes. Using the service on a desktop computer is hardly any better. The staff is rude as well.

Worst ever! App crashed in the middle of ID confirmation and now does not react, so I cannot even attempt again. There are many ways to do this, and this is the worst I've dealt with. You're better off printing and ID yourself at the post office. Waste of time and very aggravating 🤬

Connecting to "Id specialists" takes hours... literally... Support doesn't answer. "Specialist" language mastery was so bad I could barely understand what I was supposed to do. Audio quality did not help either. Worst VideoIdent experience so far.

Horrible App works horribly, furthermore the principal behind this is totally unethical, total invasion of privacy. Buying a watch online and I got forced to download this app, to upload sensitive documents, have no idea how they will be used or if they are secure. Furthermore the user interfaces are extremely buggy and barely anything works. Took me 30 min to do something which should have taken 2 min. Ban all these kyc apps.

literally none of the the attempts worked, neither eID nor videocalls, after countless attempts, I'll contact the bank for any other way to verify the id. It's not just the poor UX (at least in darkmode). Ok, I can imagine that the eID here in Germany is over-engineered and its not their fault. But video-proofing? I was very underwhelmed about the fact that and the amount how much you can get that wrong. Incredible how an app, a very company that serves one single use-case can be so bad, while there are a bunch of competitors.

This doesn't even work , I am tapping on continue , nothing happens :/ Editing my review: problem seems to be compatibility with dark mode, I couldnt see the error text , changed to normal mode and it worked.
