What is Intermittent Fasting?

Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern where you cycle between periods of eating and fasting. It does not say anything about which foods to eat, but rather when you should eat them.

There are several different intermittent fasting methods, all of which split the day or week into eating periods and fasting periods. Most people already "fast" every day, while they sleep. Intermittent fasting can be as simple as extending that fast a little longer. You can do this by skipping breakfast, eating your first meal at noon and your last meal at 8 pm.

Then you're technically fasting for 16 hours every day, and restricting your eating to an 8-hour eating window. This is the most popular form of intermittent fasting, known as the 16/8 method.

Despite what you may think, intermittent fasting is actually fairly easy to do. Many people report feeling better and having more energy during a fast.

Hunger is usually not that big of an issue, although it can be a problem in the beginning, while your body is getting used to not eating for extended periods of time.

No food is allowed during the fasting period, but you can drink water, coffee, tea and other non-caloric beverages.

Some forms of intermittent fasting allow small amounts of low-calorie foods during the fasting period.

Taking supplements is generally allowed while fasting, as long as there are no calories in them.

It's pretty annoying when I see the drop down Alerting notifications, and the name of the app blinks, and blinks, and blinks. Otherwise it includes what I wanted, a drop down Alerting slide with a countdown, does this not have a widget?

By far, best app. No junk offers, no annoying ads. Just as I like. A fasting app. Many of the fasting apps are just fancy stopwatches that you need to pay a lot.

love the app, it is simple and has (almost) everything I want. BUT every time I open it (and when sticky notifications are enabled it happens when app is closed) there is some annoying music playing. It does that even when I am listening to spotify or audible at the same time. Scares the s*** out of me most times. No ad, no video. Just the same jingle-like music playing. Please fix that. Otherwise great app!

By far the best fasting app out there. Its almost perfect. Far better than zeroapp and all the rest that i have tried. Zeroapp uninstalled. Stats are GREAT!. I would suggest that you add a "weekly average weight stat" . I would like to see "daily calorie intake" tab and a "calories burned/exercise" tab. Surely a "Food diary" would bring this app to perfection.Weight,Fasting,Drink sections need to be improved,perhaps add graphs to top of each page. Timeline is a great idea. Congrats!!

So far I think I'd like this app -- better than the one I'm currently using, but I'm not sure it's worth transferring the data unless there's an easier way to do it (even if I could do it on my computer). Also, it would be VERY helpful if it had a reminder to drink water.

I'm new to the app, I've been using the free version for just over a week. I'm not opposed to paying for some services, however there are several apps and I want to find my fit. Specifically, I am unable to edit my fasting end time or the calendar fasting days. Weight can be changed between lbs and kgs but height is only in cm. An easy "add water" button would be nice, the stats page is pretty great but will be better with those changes. Add facts/info about the process your body is at. Cheers!

Been a user since 2019. The app has helped me a lot in losing weight and the charts and statistics that they provide are extremely useful. The user experience is really good, you can set your own time or follow a plan that you make. It allows you to chose different themes. 10/10 would recommend to everyone trying out intermittent fasting

I have used this app getting close to a year. It's a good app. Need more options for personalized settings for stats. Needs option for weekly scheduling. Journal entries are a nice option but underdeveloped. I would like to see a more sleek theme (plattform). I am willing to put up with ads for a nice app. Thanks for your hard work.

Have just used a week but like it so far. I like that you can modify schedules to when you're actually fasting and not just giving you a countdown and a rigid schedule. Only thing I think that would make it better is for the weight feature to also show a graph or timeline so you can actually see your progress on a weekly and monthly basis.

Really easy to use and clear to understand. Only if thing is the weight chart reads right to left. The fasting charts reads left to right though, as expected. Also, if you fail to meet your fasting goal time, it still counts it in your continuous fasting day count, which means as long as I record something everyday, I can essentially cheat that stat. Definite minor issues though.

The best feature of this app is that it is constantly in the notification bar on top of the phone that I'm fasting. Even when I clear out my notifications, it still remains. That itself is very motivating. I just have to glance at my phone while on and see that I'm fasting. I love the constant reminder and see how long I've fasted so far and what percentage I have remaining to fast.

This app has helped in making me committed to intermittent fasting. The layout is easy to use too. However, for some reason, all my fasting logs from previous months just disappeared! Fasting that I ended today was not recorded as well. I don't know why! I tried restoring my data and that did not work.

This app took a huge nose dive. i had been using it happily for the past few months, and i didnt mind the advertising system - targetted ads - that would pop up when starting and ending a fast. Thr GUI was otherwisr clean. In latest update: 1) ads cover the start and stop buttons, and are in between saving / stopping fast, the pop up notofication is broken and wont dissapear from my lock screen or notirications bar. The app is now frustrating to use, upleasant, and broken. Time to change apps...

I had this app for one day. I wanted an app where I could enter my own times of eating and fasting. I liked the countdown feature, but you can't edit info once you put it in. Tonight, my fast started an hour earlier than I originally calculated and I couldn't change the info. So, it didn't suit my needs but I'm sure it will help others.

Some statistics are wrong. For example, average 30 days fast in my case. All days the fasting time is more than 16 hours, somehow the app still shows that average fast was 15.7 hours 😀

I like it so far, could the dev however fix the little typo in the center of the timer though? It says "Next Fasting" instead of "Next Fast". Is there also an option to count down to my next fast somehow?

A solid app that does what it was designed to do. Easy to use. I have not found any glitches yet but have only used it for 28 days. Will up this to 5 stars if it remains problem free after 3 months. I am using the free version and the ads have not caused any problems in my phone system so it appears to be well coded. My hats off to the developer. Thank you for building a great app!

I've switched to this app from Zero after being so frustrated with the bugs and the constant fetching of historical data from their servers. This app has all your data on local but with the option to back it up on Google Drive. I've also noticed if you can enable app data backups on Google One so the data can be restored when you switch phones.
