The Fusion CST app and the tablet you are forced to use is less than optimal on a good day. The app is not user friendly or intuitive like the regular ifit app. I would much rather these workouts be ok the main app, and be able to search the types of workouts I want to do on the fusion. I can’t believe there is no search feature, this makes it extremely inconvenient, especially since I have to open each workout to see what it is, which takes 10+ seconds to load each page. Please fix this, so that I can use it on my own faster tablet!!

Pure laziness on the part of the developers. No search function. Can't search at all to find specific type of workouts or trainers. Also, can't fast forward or rewind a workout. Can't stop and resume from where left off. This is basic functionality that should have been available on day one. No one seems to care to improve this. UPDATE: Nothing has been done. App is worse than ever. Can't even find all the workouts. They just disappear and there is no search functionality. NordicTrack - really?

The rating would be a 5 if the app and equipment worked as advertised. I am not sure if the problem is the portal tablet or the app but It constantly stops/buffers video despite excellent wifi. I have followed all the suggestions by customer service with no improvements. The portal tablet is junk and make th CST so difficult to use. They need a better table for iOS version to allow use of ipad. Have zero issues using ifit on treadmill with iOS device .

The workouts are actually fantastic! After one workout, tons of sweat & lots of muscle soreness! Like other reviewers, the Bluetooth connection to the machine is weak. It is frustrating when you are in the middle of a set, and the workout just stops because it has to buffer. The last thing a person wants when working out is anxiety and frustration. I might suggest an attachment, like an adapter style cord, that could connect directly to the machine, especially for users who have similar issues.

I am also having connectivity problems. No matter how I connect it to internet it says there's no internet connection. Uninstall/install like every time and then it works temporarily then still freezes or can't load. Very frustrating. Not sure if it's the app or the device but it worked fine a year ago when we got this. Otherwise the workouts are great and I actually enjoy them! But I can't use them!

When it works, it's great. Unfortunately it all too often does not. It's not our network, it's the app that either buffers, locks up, or just freezes. We've found restarting the entire tablet makes it a bit more stable, clearly a memory leak in the app. You guys charge enough for this machine that is largely useless/replaceable without the app. Get it together.

This app is terrible! The machine is great, but it only works in manual mode. The app takes almost 10 minutes to load and then buffers out about every 2 minutes into a workout. Kind of hard to do HIIT when you have to stop and wait around several times each set. Called customer service, finally got someone on third attempt, was told software fix on the way. Yeah, and checks in the mail too. That was a month ago.

I bought this on October 16th and it finally came yesterday. I set it up and was excited to try it out but I have not been able to get thru even a single minute of any workout I try. The app constantly says buffering. Each buffering message can take 30 seconds or more. This is unusable! I've shut off every single other connected device in the house and it still can't stay connected. I think the machine is solid and great but the tablet and/or app is terrible. Beware if your considering buying one of these!

I love the workouts on the fusion CST... When it works. I've been using it for about a year 5-6 times a week. I have all the errors that other people get. The app and the tablet combined are the problem. I would feel better about it if there was any indication that is being worked on. I just deal with it and have started warming up on my treadmill while I fight with the app.

Everyone before has summed it up. You can't do a workout because the videos are constantly buffering. Don't know if it's the app or tablet or what. Bought the CST and the treadmill together and treadmill has no issues. The buffering complaints go back a few months on this review page so it doesn't seem like they are fixing it. ***Update*** They updated the software and now it finally works flawlessly. Finally can get a great workout in. Thank you!

This is one of the first reviews I have ever written - and it is because this is one of the worst user experiences I have ever encountered. DO NOT buy the Fusion CST if you think an advantage of it are the interactive training courses - the device and app are absolutely horrendous. I have friends that have purchased the Tempo or Tonal devices - I wish I would have bought either instead of the Fusion CST. The hardware is good and I have had a lot of self guided workouts using it since I purchased it four months ago. I have attempted to use the app and classes over 100 times and I have only been able to successfully complete five classes on the app (and every one of those buffered multiple times). It is so frustrating to take your preworkout, Pick your class and wait...and wait...and wait...for a class to never download. I’m writing a review now because I just tried it again and became so frustrated I lost the motivation to workout. NordicTrack blames iFit, yet, they require you to use the cheap tablet they include. They also have figured out how to not return calls and emails ensuring you can’t return it in the first 30 days...with so many options a device this expensive has to work at a minimum and sadly this simply does not.

I am returning my Fusion CST just due to this app and 95% of all the other people not able to use the coaches and videos. I didn't buy this machine to do manual workouts but for the IFit classes and automated resistance that goes along with the instructors. I have only got 1/10 complete classes as it takes forever to load for no reason and will disconnect from bluetooth all the time. I really wanted to like this machine, there isn't anything like this right now other than Bowflex HVT, which is discontinued. Devs, please fix this app! Even the Portal 10i says this app is not optimized for the tablet, and the app hasn't been updated in almost 2 years, but the price of the Fusion CST has went up since it was released? What?! Update: I was so close to returning, contacted Bestbuy, had a return label printed, had in box waiting for UPS. It rained and I had to bring the monstrosity in (I think this was a sign). I got the app to work by downloading on another model of tablet (let's just say a newer table). I just did two workouts back to back and no issues. This workaround saved me.

We have had the ifit app for several months and it has never worked. The app continues to buffer and stall and quit each time we use it. I've called support and they said the new update was right around the corner. We have updated the app and the glitches remain. I love the idea of the app and the equipment so I hope these issues can be resolved quickly.

The concept is great. The problem is I can't go 5 minutes without insane amounts of buffering. 40 minute workouts becomes well over an hour. I just did a workout that froze 15 minutes in and I couldn't get it going again. I stream video games without an issue... this shouldn't be a problem. We may have to return the entire unit because it is unusable right now.

Constantly buffering. Workouts are essentially unusable. Would not pay to renew membership when the free trial expires. Edit: So far so good with the software update. Buffers maybe once or twice per session but only for a few seconds, so it doesn't disrupt the workout. Workouts are great.

1. Bluetooth connectivity is not stable. 2. Multiple users and switching accounts. when the second user starts workout routine, app always goes to cool down within one minute and thinks workout is complete. 3. if there is any buffering, machine resistance settings get out of sync with trainer once playback resumes. Machine resistance can be 5 - 10 seconds ahead of trainer. That's a ruined workout.

Abysmal! Constantly stuck on loading. Browse button is a complete waste, all it does is stay stuck on loading! Screen doesn't rotate so good luck charging tablet on either stand without cable getting in the way! Why I need a separate app for the fusion is stupid and why there isn't an iOS version is even more stupid. I'd like to be able to switch tablets and workout!

It worked great for the first week after that the videos kept buffering most of the time I could not complete a work out. When I would use manual start it would lose connection with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth it is not reliable I would recommend that you not buy this machine unless there’s a way you can download the videos so you can use the machine properly

Great machine, app needs work. Need to be able to download work out Incase of wifi drop or connection issues. Need to be able to fast forward and rewind to get back to the right place in workout, especially if the move is new or different. It would be nice to watch the move, then when comfortable, Bach up and resume work out.

The workouts are great and the machine is incredible. No search feature is a bit annoying but tolerable and it has me doing a week 1 workout 1 5 times before moving to the next. I just manually go to the next but that would be nice if that was corrected. The glitches are just little annoyances though they dont take away from the great workouts.

Agree with other users about the incessant buffering and crashing which makes the inability to fast forward or rewind even more absurd. Since this requires a paid subscription (and not a cheap one!) to come into this in 2020 without there having been any updates since 2018 is unacceptable. Recent update improved nothing. In fact, it made my shortcut disappear so that I have to go into Google Play and search for it every time I want to work out.

We purchased the Fusion CST in mid-July and received it soon after. We were so excited to add it to our home gym until we tried to use the iFit app. It has never worked on the Portal 10i and we've never been able to sync our iPhones to the machine. Same issues that others stated. Workout vids stop playing and get stalled in buffer. We were hopeful about the recent app update released on 7/31/20 but that didn't fix the problems. So disappointed in this app and regret purchasing the Fusion CST.
