IFTTT

This application is great. I've been experimenting with devices from different makers (Dlink, Smartplugs, Ring) and types (video doorbell, security cam, plugs, motion detectors) and I love creating different scenarios, even turning on the Christmas tree lights when it snows, text me when the cat comes home or house lights when I get close to home! Endless possibilities!

Update: seem to be lots of bugs lately, + since the alterations with premium vs free, the free version really isn't as great anymore -far more limited than it used to be and not as useful. Best if you can afford to go premium. Original review: Easy to use and all the modifications and custom commands you could need (I've found if one doesn't work, another one will - keep looking). I use this across Amazon Alexa, Google spreadsheets/contacts, MS onenote, Twitter, Tumblr etc. Really helpful app

For being the most popular app for what it does I'm surprised at lack of triggers & actions available for even standard things (like I can't set a trigger for when I connect to a specific Bluetooth device). And while I DESPISE the trend of every app charging a subscription fee, this one actually makes sense; HOWEVER, the subscription cost is ridiculous. Free should include at least 5 services, and then price tiers after that. Lastly, the button widget should be more customizable.

I'm torn. The app was amazing and does work with most of my devices.( I had to find some work arounds) but now they are charing for the same service that used to be free. The main problem I have is that if I pay I'm still limited to only 20. If I am paying a monthly fee I should have unlimited options. I get it everyone needs to make money so I can't complain about the free version but if I subscribe then I should have full access to setup everything I need.

I use this for some pretty basic features. Wyze sensors trigger motion and then kasa plugs turn on lights. About one month ago the service started lagging and as of today it is taking almost one minute to trigger. Please advise.

Was a good app to use for a few applications in automation, but for just for a few thinks that I could use it for, I am finding work around just not to use it. It is to expensive to use for just a few things. If there was or is a competitor software that did the same thing It probably would be more reasonably priced or free like it used to be or have more features offered.

Thanks for deleting most of my i f t t t applets when my subscription ran out. I can speak for many when I say that I believe this service should and should always be free and the fact that you are charging a subscription for something that should have always been free is just bad.

Used to work great,before there was a premium service. Now it won't do anything. Everything is updated, all sites are linked, permissions given. Tried four times in the last week to have ITTT post to anything with no results, no notifications of any applets running.

Very inconsistent actions. They run the first time then fail with a generic error message. Poor UI, horrible documentation, no way to debug.

READ REVIEW --> App system works fairly well, for this I would rate 4* but you can only have 5 applets, whilst this might be fine for the basic user, the Pro User only gets 20 Applets, for a minimum of £43.49 this is a rather steep increase for only a little gain. For the steep fees this is barely 1*. Why not give the option of a basic membership which gives 'free user' but with extra applets, this way you can eirn some money on what is a good idea without fleecing customers.

Limited functionality since the introduction of Pro. And honestly, Bixby routines are better. They have at least two that IFTTT can't setup: one to read my notifications to me and one that notifies me when my battery is done charging. I wouldn't have downloaded this app if my temp phone had Bixby routines.

Automations for my Somfy Mylink account have stopped working, and the app also won't allow me to recreate them. These were previously built-in functions. This was the only reason I installed IFTTT on my phone, and I'm definitely never going to buy pro if this is typical.

The app is good but too expensive. I want to automate a single Arlo camera only at certain times. This requires pro plus subscription at $185 per year. Seems strange to have to pay so much just to include time schedule

Absolute rubbish. Every time I think of something that I could do with IFTTT the app doesn't have an applet, even for the simple things like "when connected to WiFi network x" or even when just simply connected to WiFi. Don't bother installing this, it's a total waste of time. Not found a single use for it in the almost 2 years I've had it installed.

This used to be a 5-star review. When the ability to create [regardless of plan] was available, this was a great addition to my automated life. Basically, the app was free with all the bells and whistles. Now the free version is too basic...fewer multi-step automations available. Just disappointed!!!

This is the third time that I came up with an idea to automatize my home and then this app really disappoints! UI is not the best and even when my Smarthome app supports my devices, for some reason this app doesn't.

Bait and switch pricing. Don't bother, you'll regret linking any devices. Been a bit, still a horrid service. I'm stuck paying for it, but I still have to reset and reprogram all my apps every month because their system doesn't retain the data and even a minor disconnection or delayed connection results in it failing. I contacted support and they confirmed this is by design, which is idiotic. Run run, never touch ifttt

It gets worse every day, the devices do not communicate in real time. It do not allow to delete an applet. The check button doesn't tell you if there is an issue....

Really useful app. I've had it for a while and use it periodically. I am very frustrated that I can now only use 3 applets without subscription. I'm not ba heavy user and would gladly pay a reasonable price as a one off purchase. Subscription services are a complete rip off for light users and I will NEVER be persuaded to subscribe. I will either continue with limited use or just delete the app. No app is so important that I need to subscribe. Update... Closing my account.

This app is very good and useful, it has lots of very good intergrations. The only problem is that you have to pay for some extra intergrations and applets.

I am new for IFTTT, I paid eWelink annual fee yesterday, I am able to pick up Airthing temperature as the trigger, but when I try to add action, it shows "No Nickname" for eWelink smart home account, so there's no option for me to pick up. Do I have to join Pro+ to make it work? Trying to search from Google for keywords "IFTTT no nickname" didn't get anything useful . Could anyone can help?

This was very useful but has recently become cripple-ware, as my old applet has now been placed behind a monthly subscription. I'd pay a one-off, but it's definitely not worth an ongoing subscription.

Just started. I upgraded to pro as you will go through 5 applets quickly. If support is good and I find myself using it a lot, I'll update my rating. I do believe that 20 max applets are a bit short for paying 60/year. We'll see. We'll let you all know.

IFTTT does anything i can think of, dozens of devices controlled, Powersockets, lights, tv, pc.. with a multitude of differing methods like time, GPS, phone notifications and some others. Even some fun custom commands for holidays :)

What once was great is now garbage. It was one my most used app, now I longer use the app bc of the changes. I used to recommend it to others as well. Sorry if you were one of them. It is no longer the same app it used to be. We all have to move on now.

From telegram it can just forward text and links. It can't forward images posted on Telegram channel. Developers need to work on it.

App was great until they threw everything useful behind a paywall. An expensive paywall at that. It's rather deal with a few ads and have a free version.
