Great app when it's working well as most of the time. But when a new app update is downloaded my price alerts don't work, no audiable sound no popup but i do get e-mailed. I've tried everything app permissions all that sort of thing. The only thing I change is the default sound to "tweeters". When the app is updated during a schedule update notifications price alerts stop coming through. The only way to resolve this is to uninstall and reinstall the app. I hope you can resolve this Android issue
Very hard to click the "3 dot" row menu icon (useful to get to the chart), material guidelines suggest a min 48dp touch target, you have about half that here 😠 if you switch the margin for padding you could expand your touch target by about 10dp without needing to increase row height. Agg position size does not always update following partial close out. Gotta get stuff like this right...
superb interface on android and pc, very intuitive, good spreads. No glitches or issues to speak of. would love to be able to leave written notes on the specific markets, but cant have everything!!
Language can't be changed. I signed up for a trading account in Sweden that has some tax benefits, but the language is in Swedish. Customer support adviced me to open an English account to access the app in English. If I do so, I'll lose the tax benefits. I ended up continuing with Swedish account and relying on browser to translate. The mobile app is useless to me now.
Easy to use, reliable with reasonable charges. It'd be great if we can have set sell or buy order at certain level for longer period than day, but it's minor issue.
Excellent app, when compared with competitors. However it has stopped working for me in Australia,and there was no comms from IG for it. When I login, it just says, "this platform is not currently available".
Good app when working. The latest update has stopped me from opening trade analytics which is very frustrating.
Avoid like the plague, actually quite a nice app but doesn't let you close a deal if the market swings as you hit the button. Twice today I have hit close just at the direction change and the app has coincidentally had an error hanging long enough to wipe out profit. Once in a session maybe but not twice.
not a bad app to use. can be a bit clunky but haven't come into any hiccups. IG is good to do trade with and draw/use tools on the graph but as for analysis is can be quite difficult to find detailed news on some companies and technical analysis by IG is very vague.
Worst service ever. They state that there are no fees if you make more than 3 trades/month but they are still charging me £10 for every trade even though I made more than 15 trades this month. When I escalated the issue I didn't receive an answer for more than 10 days. I had to call them again and they said they don't have an answer from a manager yet, but they immediately and magically found an answer when I hung up and they said I will have to continue paying £10/trade till next month!!
Very poor customer service, no one calls you back when they say they will and anything outside normal FAQs is a disaster. Due to IG delays I missed the tax year end which has cost me dearly. All round extremely disappointing and despite them knowing how important thus was, they have failed to call me or even acknowledge their part in the debacle. Avoid
Keep getting logged OUT when I have account logged in on two devices, soon as I log into a second device the other one automatically logs out. Previously I have been able to trade using 2 devices, but that seems not possible now. Its crucial to have this option reinstated. Also when closing trades especially when in green, the CLOSE button freezes and its not untill the price moves in opposite direction that the CLOSE button gets responsive. Why is that IG?
Horrible Customer Service, my stock got delisted suddenly and no comms was sent. Now I'm being forced to stay on the platform and pay a subscription fee as I can't liquidate my stock
Can't trade all the stuff on their platform so why have it there?? Misleading and expensive spreads. Still no improvement.
The UI is OK but what's really annoying are the high brokerage fees, I got charged over $90 commission on a $160 profitable trade (they literally took over half of the profits). Looking for another platform.
No response for months to activate account even after sending continous mails to all support mailids. It's simply time waste
Why is it that when I've placed an order and the trade opens, staying longer on the trade is never a great idea. This system crashes all the time. I can't even explain it properly, then when I try closing the trade, it gives me an error, yet it has already crashed and it still displays an open trade. I wanted to try it out using a demo account first, but I'm reluctant to use a live account. I really love the web based experience, FOR DEMO. NOT SURE IF SAFE FOR LIVE. NOT SURE.
New menu driven app - don't like it, so much worse than previous app. From the one screen i used to be able to look at performance graph, change the resolution, place a transaction etc Now we have to go to a diffrent menu option and a new screen page for each. What a pain ! You now need 2 (or more) computers running at the same time to achieve what was possible with one on the previous app. Why constantly meddle .... if it ain't bust don't try to fix it. Sadly, now it is bust.
I have had issues with various versions of this app for years. No matter what version you update to in my experience you will have issues especially with the graphing function eventually. It can take months to fix these issues. I had one issue lasting a year and has extensive contact with the help desk sending them screen copies etc and information. Then after just 9 months a new issue occurred. This pattern repeats itself with a recent issue (sept 2018) being graphs not drawing and just freezing with the waiting icon and a blank screen for 40-50 seconds for something which should be nearly instant.
Good trading platform. A wide range of stock to choose from and an easy to use interface. However, IG provide absolutely awful customer service. When emailing/live chat, they either do not respond to requests and/or when they do respond, they do not answer your question and are always keen to close the chat ASAP. I've lost actual thousands due to their incompetence, slow response times and unprofessional alterations/changes to existing services. Avoid if you can.
like the app a lot. Bit slow to return ones money when one want it back!

Dark mode should also be applied to chart view, also would be a good addition if a button is added for closing all positions at once.
Bad timing to prompt me for a review! can't see any data at all. I guess there is a total outage. Not what you want from a trading app. EDIT: the data came back a few hours later. Support came back to me a few hours after that. Not a great experience! EDIT 21-Aug issue happening again. Re-installing as per their support advice didn't fix.
Usually good but important news feeds no longer updates 😔. Please try to fix. Thanks.
Improved to now being one of the most well featured mobile trading apps! New shortcuts to markets, trades and accounts very handy during extra active trading periods. Would love to be able to close partial trades quickly still, though. i.e. Have to find my way back out from charts ( hoping price doesn't move too much ) and to the "close" tab within the instrument Also can't create pending orders from charts without doing the same. ( And remembering the price I want to set )
Hard to use and complicated. Language is unchangeable based on the region that you select. Moreover, it's interface is hard to get around to. Was trying to look at some US stocks based on where I live and the options were not as many as I expected.
