This product is terrible. Have wasted so much money on this system. Like others have constant issues with Bluetooth. I wish I had never bought this product. You have no idea if it has turned itself on or not sometimes. Sometimes you will push off but it will stay on. But frankly over the last month it has been entirely useless thanks to Bluetooth not connecting to the warm white Bluetooth control boxes. Can't use it. So disappointed.

I have the RGB deck lights with the 60w controller. 1. The Bluetooth just doesnt connect. You might be able to set it up once but try to connect to it again the next day and nothing. You have to remove your scene and timer options and do everything again. 2.. There is no user interface on the device so you dont know if its working or not. Especially when the bluetooth doesnt connect.

This used to work really well now all of a sudden im no longer able to connect to the bluetooth have to always do a hard reset just to get it to work, Once not using the app for awhile cannot access the bluetooth again so not able to turn them off. I have decided to use my old phone with the older version on the App before the update and it works with no problems. I believe the issue has something to do with the latest updated and im not having any problems with the older version.

1) Obscure instructions and app UI make it much harder to set up than it should be. 2) You can't edit a scene unless it is active which seems pointless. You should be able to edit any scene without having to turn it on. 3) It''s a pain in the ass that the app doesn't continue runninng in the background when switching between apps. 4) Doesn't work with Google Home.

Works as intended for Smart Valve, but it's laggy at times. 'Manage my devices' screen... The options menu appears to be a dead end if you don't change anything. How do I get out of it without closing the app? Also I think it needs a widget, if only for the manual on/off operation of a valve. Just so I can quickly over ride a cycle, to use the hose or stop a scheduled sprinkler. Without a widget it requires you to dive into the app and go down 4 levels. A one tap widget would be great.

Works ok but could be better. We only have one zone set up so we could try it out. Schedules work well, as does manual watering provided you have your phone with you. Would like to see timer count down so you know how much watering time is left - especially in manual. The biggest let down is that only one person can connect to the device... so now that it is all set up on my phone, hubby can't even use the hose if I'm not home.

What everyone else said! The app constantly crashes and does not remember the device. Every time I wish to make changes, I have to unpair and re-pair the device. Kind of defeats the purpose. Holman were kind enough to reply to my complaint and tell me that they had fixed this issue, only it isn't fixed. Nothing has changed and the app always crashes. 13/12/18 update fixed nothing. The app still crashes in the same manner and does not upload programs to the controller. Waste of time and money.

Bluetooth doesn't work since version 229. It worked before and when it does I like the system. But it's frustrating that I can connect without issue to a very cheap Chinese watch but not to this not-so-cheap lighting system. Tried "Lights" app instead which can connect but it looks like that has to be connected at the programmed times to turn the lights on or off, which is a bit ridiculous. Information is very scarce, so you can't say it doesn't work as designed because they just don't say what the designed behaviour is.

My original iGarden app mysteriously vanished one day never yo be seen again. I only ever used the watering system part of the app and found it to be great, once I got used to it. It sure beat walking out to individual trap timers and winding them up. With this app I could control each timer automatically or manually as required, from the comforts of my house. I found the range, with a new battery in the timer, was about 50 metres, or so. No complaints.

(not actually the prime minister) This technology is garbage. Wish I'd thought to check the reviews before wasting my money. The app stops randomly communicating with the controller. I can't turn the damned things off let alone control the FX. Which are extremely unimaginative, by the way. They don't even offer a multi colour fade. Holman why are you wasting everyone's time and money with these broken, poorly designed products.

Do not buy this product! App cannot connect to controller. Initially it wouldn't even show up as an available device. Finally managed to get it to show up but still can't connect. Waste of time and money. Bunnings should pull this product from their shelves. UPDATE: After returning 2 seperate controller units to Bunnings, I found one with a sticker "QC tested" and it works. Third time lucky. App works fine.

Prior to and now especially since the last update, which is described as fixing 'minor' bugs (bx watering) but has introduced a few new 'major' bugs. Namely the **needs update** that now, will not go away even after actually performing the update.. The user interface that will not close or even go 'back' a step when using the back button.. The list of (un-addressed) bugs makes it easy to justify the purchase of a different product/brand entirely..

Whoever designed this App needs to take a look at the B Hyve one. Need to be able to set and save programs using whatever stations you want instead of having to change each station individually. A calender format showing set watering days would also be a great user friendly addition. Very hard to use. Could be much better. Wish I bought a B Hyve controller for the new house too.

To all those who have had issues with this only working once then not reconnecting, you bricked the controller during firmware update. The app automatically updated mine the first time connecting where I was in poor reception and failed to update correctly. Returned the controller and attempted again. Works perfectly now once firmware was updated. That's probably the down side to this app, no warning or choice to update, just does it. Otherwise I have deck lights set up and looks awesome.

I rarely give reviews, except when something is really good, or really bad. In this case, this is the biggest, waste of time, piece of faeces app I have pretty well ever used. Be aware I write this from the "irrigation" settings. For a full review, I will update with a link. Suffice to say, the BTX1 bluetooth tap timer cannot have different start times on different days.

Great system, easy setup, nice lighting but useless as Bluetooth app doesn't work so swapped for new controller. update: first unit was faulty and new one works perfectly with good range. unfortunately unable to pair more than 1 phone so need to set as a timer not easy as a manual on off product. also app logs off when phone goes to sleep and takes upto 30s to resync. good range of lighting products but would like longer strip led lights. good enough but need to be patient. 3 to 4 stars so far.

Just set it up to a BTX8. The app seems ok however I'm still trying to determine under the 'cycle setting why the need for a stop time considering there is a duration time. Maybe there is one, but it's early days yet and I may learn it. Also being Bluetooth connectable, it relies on the phone being fairly close to the controller to be useful. One feature missing in general is a manual start if the whole program. Hopefully this comes with an update sometime.

Bluetooth connection to Samsung phone drops out and have to reconfigure each time I want to use lights. Am taking it back and get a manual control unit and connect to external timer. Would love to see a controller with built-in timer and dim switch. Technology is great when it does a good job but is a P.I.A when you become its slave.

Won't connect to Bluetooth. I just bought the Bluetooth controller with some RGB lights and it connected to Bluetooth the first time during set-up and the lights worked fine. Turned them off overnight and tried to turn them on the following night and no matter what I tried I could not get the controller to connect back up to Bluetooth.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Everything connects, and syncs fine.. I set up a 7 day timer.. Update the device via this app.. All good... Not all good... Wake up in the morning... 6am.. The grass is not being watered.. I've tried this many times.. Same result.. All I can do is manual water, but I could just use the garden tap for that.

App unable to find my BTX1, have tried all troubleshooting on this review forum, deleted and reinstalled app, made sure nothing else paired, just cannot get it to work at all. $70 tap timer useless and heading back to Bunnings for refund. I echo others thoughts on reviews too, will not buy anything Holman again, i dont have time to ring them either, you either build something that works simply and reliably or dont bother wasting our time. Dont have these issues with any other Bluetooth devices.

Bought a brand new two tap timer and downloaded the app. Seemed simple enough to set up. It was scheduled to turn on at 7am for 10 minutes for each zone, its now 12.07 and its been running now for 5 hours and 7 minutes 😡 My entire front yard and under my house are completely flooded. 😪

Team you really have some work to do on your app. No 1 Top menu very hard to read. No2 Do a manual water, start ok but then app requires update, why when already running. No3 When you do a schedule timed event comes up in blue requires update but 25% of wording missing. No 4 the schedule timer digial panel is poorly designed seems to be not to scale as some of the top dial missing. Using a Samsung 9+.

It works, but it could do with a notification that shows how much time is left for a manual watering operation and possibly a notification for when an automated watering operation commences. Ive had zero problems with it interfacing with my BTX6. I previously had a pope on tap timer that was a piece of rubbish, this though works like a charm.

Junk! On Manual mode you dont know if the system is running, there is no indicator. When you exit the app sometimes it turns off watering. On Manual mode there is no way to know how much watering is left on the timer, it doesnt even count down...

Please have someone who knows what they're doing fix this app. It never talks to the hardware properly and will randomly just stop working as scheduled or even just turn on for hours without my knowledge. It is wasting my water and money. Great idea, lots of improvement to be made. This product isn't ready for the world yet.

What an utter piece of garbage!!! very unstable to get running. If you magically get it to work you will very quickly encounter app crashes to which then the app will never again talk to the controllers unless you uninstall and start again....who the F come up with this.EDIT: even re-installing hasn't worked...DO NOT BUY!

The Bluetooth connection to the rgb controller is rubbish. I continually need to uninstalling the app, turn the power off to the controller for a few minutes then reinstall the app and I can connect. Happens on all our phones

Frustrating to connect Bluetooth. I had to turn on location manually (despite getting the option to turn on only when app is in use), otherwise it would not connect. It's working however the app is very limited.

Running with the BTX6 irrigation controller. The controller will only run the water for 5 seconds and then switches off. This happens for all channels and even when I want to manually run it. Very frustrating!!!
