I just wanted to have a WORKING offline navigation app. It was good for the first hour but then it suddenly dropped the GPS signal leaving me in the city (suburban area, no tall buildings to block the signal) clueless where to go. I am using the very same phone for 2 years and this never happened before with other navigation apps. I had to pull over and restart my phone (not just the app) to get the navigation work again. I not recommend to use this app, unless if you like to get lost randomly.

I've been using iGO and predecessors for 10 years now on dedicated GPS navigators, and I had hoped to get something similar for my phone. But the user interface is bizarre and hard to understand, and there is no documentation. As if that wasn't bad enough, the maps download didn't work. After 18 hours no data at all had been transferred. In that time I installed multiple other apps, so it wasn't a network issue. iGO, you can do better than that.

No updates for over a year. There is no audible speed warning despite having all the settings set. Developer made me send photos of settings , which I did, only to then tell me they were aware of the issue but don't know if or when it will be fixed. They told me to get a refund from google. I think development has stopped. Maps out of date. Speed warning broken. Such a shame Igo Primo was by far the best GPS on the market, this android version has so many bugs and the UI is more dated than the old one. On top of that its the most expenseive one on the market, maps and speed cameras all paid for seperately then another annual fee for traffic. And the speed cameras don't even work!

I faced a lot of small issues, made the app almost unusable in real world: 1) It stops giving directions as soon as you switch between applications. 2) The sound stream conflicts with other music applications, like radio. If music is playing, iGo speaking will close it. 3) I've purchased the TTS voices, but the quality of the voices is lower then the default (no TTS) ones. 4) The technical support is not technical: they'll just tell you that the app is that way and you cannot change it.

The UI elements are scaled wrong on a Note8. Everything is so tiny, it's impossible to read the words in a safe way while driving. Only good thing about it is the lane splitting info is right up on top. Since the maps are the same as TomTom in South-East Asia, no reason to use this. Deleting before 7 days trial is over. Cannot imagine those guys who paid for Alpine radio units to use this.

Maybe I missed a setting, or had a wrong setting, but when I used this a few days ago mt phone was out of my line of sight, and the voice prompts were too late to act on. There were no advanced warnings of upcoming turns. I did not have bluetooth turned on, as my wife was playing her iPod through the car stereo. My other car has an earlier version of iGO in the WinCE stereo, and it is great.

I live in Sydney/Australia and got this app to help me navigate through the rush hour traffic. For some reason, Google Maps is not working properly on my in-dash unit. IGO user interface is good and the software runs quite fast and stable. The problem I have is the route planning itself. The route planned is less than optimal, the suggestions are sometimes not feasible at all, like, for example, right turn into a busy traffic just before a red light. When I ignore the route and drive the route I choose myself (local knowledge) the navigation pops a message "Arrival time is sooner due to change in traffic!" The route planning method is "fast". I am giving only two stars because of this as I bought the app based on the built in traffic congestion information. For me, it simply doesn't serve the purpose, money is wasted.

The Trial version is so limited I had to download a full version to test out functionality. Shockingly everything about it is terrible. The maps are out of date (the latest release), the speed warning only works on super major roads - suburb roads are not covered. The UI and search is convoluted and hard to use. I compared it to Tom Tom and their version is miles ahead. When I requested a refund, after the first reply they stopped responding to any further emails. 0 star if I can give that.

I installed this application and bought the maps and the sound package. I generally like it except one thing. If the radio or music is on I can't hear gps voice. It is my understanding that the sound of the radio or music should go down but unfortunately it doesn't happen. I am not a programmer but from what I understand there is an easy fix which involves changing sys.txt files. The question is why the developers of this software haven't done it yet.

IGO is installed on my "in car android driven dash board". works pretty smooth and recommended. i can update my maps once i park inside home wifi zone. Only issue is that, when driving if i have audio player running with maps , application will mute the sound card and play the navigation information to the speakers, then re-enable audio to play. But if i disable navigation audio all together, it will still mute audio out, but not play anything. this is annoying because this happens every time it reach a cross section or turning point. can you please fix that. Also day and night color change doesn't kick in at the right time. this needs to carter in daylight saving and average light loss on different countries. Performance some of the android hosts , are limited on resources, so loading the application takes more than 30secs. (1GB,nand host). it would be great if can fine tune a version to a car/truck devices.

Outdated and terrible performance on Samsung note 8. No inertial scrolling. Tiny buttons. +5 second delay between interaction and audible feedback. Map offscreen areas don't load when scrolling until you release your finger. No double tap hold zooming. Uses an app-specific keyboard?! So you can't use your standard system keyboard, which means no swipe typing. And it says it hasn't been updated in over a year. Seems high risk for purchasing.

I still keep getting error 108 everytime I restore my purchases. I have contacted IGo customer support and they are helpful, but I hate having to contact them everytime I get a different phone, or do a factory reset, just to get my purchases again. So I went and purchased the product again so I don't have that issue anymore. It gets old everytime I have to contact them. It's a great app, one of the best I have used and prefer, main reason I bought it again. It's worth it.

Excellent, my absolute favourite with its depth (from beautiful trip computer to route simulation and many other great things)! This is not only a "map app". Hint for those who don't know: Tap anything and everything on the iGO screen. When something opens, again tap everything you see. And do it again and again. You will be pleasantly surprised to all the time find new stuff. For demanding and professional drivers, iGO is the best option. People who give less than 5 stars don't know what iGO can give us, what it is capable of.

App is visually appealing however it consistently gives routes that are longer, slower, more complicated than any other app. For example, a trip from Sacramento to San Jose. iGo gives a route that is 2 hours and 45 minutes where 3 other apps gives a shorter route that is 2 hours and 8 minutes. The app also does not search your contacts to retrieve an address, so you have to look it up, remember or write it down, and then switch to iGo and enter the address.

I put this app on my phone and I loved it. However, when I had to replace my phone because it quit working, None of my previous purchases showed up. So now it looks like I will have to buy the entire package all over again. This is really getting expensive as I had both NA and EU loaded and the voices that tell you the street names. It was resolved and I was sent promo codes for the files I had purchased. Everything is good in the world again. Thanks

Ric. Jul 8, 2019

You can easily get lost with the app.One of the roads was under construction and the app was forcing me to go back to the same road over and over again.I don't want to go again on the same road. I want a new route. And guess what? The new routes were leading to the same road again. I drove more than 8km and the app is still forcing me. Its kinda annoying. Even some of the streets are missing. 1 roundabout and 1 boulevard were missing even with the newest updated maps. Sry but I'm not satisfied.

I hate this app for various reasons. I can't put the full post code, when I reach the first number my keypad disappear and I keep trying to recall it to keep putting the rest of the postcode. Also, I have to choose from several streets names to narrow the address. This is outright cumbersome to say the least. When I try to reselect the postcode to put a space for the next group of digits, I can't see the spacer and also it minimises the keypad, adding to the already frustrated input. It also keeps making these beeps for no reason like if it is stuck in something. It has not got street name announcements. WAZE has and it is FREE. I will try its navigation features as I have a full day truck driving but not sure if it would be a keeper.

It works but nowhere near as good as an old satnav I have running an old version of igo... The icons showing arrival time etc are far too small, the sound alert for over speed doesn't work and neither does the speed cameras alerts. No reply back from Devs even though they were quick to reply when I enquired about purchasing the app. Terrible service from them so far. Awaiting an answer. Wanting a full refund now so well see what happens.

I purchased the maps for my Android head unit. I wiped my unit and reinstalled igo. It gives me an error trying to restore my apps. Looks like I'm going to need to look into getting a refund since the service isn't being provided. Buyer beware. * Update to dev: I'm using the same account. I get "An Unexpected failure occurred [108]" whenever I try to update. This isn't related to my Google account or anything of that sort. It's a common error when I search over the web. I contacted your support for hopefully a resolution but if not I will request a refund.* Update: Support gave me new promo codes and iGo works. However now I have to figure out how to make it stop pausing my music whenever it tries to speak. *Also note that it appears you are paying for outdated maps. I'd probably recommend staying away from iGo. The app was last updated in 2018 and probably won't be updated ever again.

Great app with excellent voice instructions. My only suggestion for improving the app would be that on my Galaxy S9 Plus the text on the navigation screen is small - such things as the traffic alert icon at the top right and distance and arrival information at the bottom is a little difficult to read. Would be good if there was a way to enlarge this text information.

Excellent Offline Maps GPS app I got hooked on this GPS app on my old head unit that runs Windows CE. I just purchased an android head unit, 9.7 inch screen, 8 cores, 4 gig mem, 64 gig of storage made by Binize. IGO gps runs smooth and fast, apperience is excellent, has all the on screen info I want, searches are fast and maps, while very detailed, are small and quick to download. I'm so pleased with this app!!!

Ebe. D. Nov 24, 2021

The app and maps are good. But too expensive in comparison with other programs. And when I tried to install the app and packages which I purchased before, on a new phone, I was charged the second time for my Europe Navigation package. And I see no way to get my money back.

mik. w. Nov 1, 2021

Can't get any help on this app, tried to submit request but would not work, very difficult to submit support ticket. The user interface on this app is tiny, you can't see information around the screen as letters and numbers are only about 4mm high, buttons are to small to operate safely. Using on Joying 8.8 android head unit, 480 x 1280 display. Google maps interface much bigger. THIS isn't fit for purpose as it is. It's a dangerous product for use in a motor vehicle.

I bought the maps through playstore and everything worked fine. I then bought another phone and it would download and install app, but the maps wouldn't install after downloading them. I contacted Google, but they could not help and advised me to contact Igo direct. I emailed Igo 2 weeks ago and they haven't replied. Save you money and buy something else.

Igo is an excellent satnav app that I have used extensively in the past . However I will not be purchasing this version for the simple reason it does not work with Andriod Auto. That is unacceptable in this day and age and gives its rivals the edge by a massive margin.

Bea. Apr 19, 2020

Works now. Just a suggestion. Please let the user change the UI scaling. On my phone it looks extra big (which makes sense for a driving app), however it looks very bad compared to the rest of my phone. Regarding the support. 10*. Maps are very good. I like the new interface. It looks modern.

I have iGO primo in one of my cars. It has speed limits included. It's great, 5 stars. I wanted it for another car and noticed there was an app. I mainly wanted it for overspeed warnings. I downloaded a trial. I noticed it was called iGO navigation. It promised speed warnings but the app appears to only have speed limits for major roads. Disappointed. 1 star.

I am using the free test trial and I also find eveything a lot too small. Another igo I had on my xgody unit was far larger and better. Unfortunately the xgody unit crashed and all was lost. I have installed this app on that unit it does not have a lot of the features on the last app where everything was large enough to see easily when driving. I also cannot find the price of this app.

I used GPS ever since I knew how to drive. And I have used many GPS, like garmin, Tomtom, sygic, Google. IGO actually very good, it's fast reroutes and accurate , I'm currently On trail version. Would get full version ,... Route info I can't Scroll down to see the full list of streets and turns. It keep jump up to the of the list I can't scroll down. Also I would suggest developers give 14 days trail instead of just 7 days. The gps is good but need give people more time to try it out.
