IGTV

This app has lots of potential, but right now it's VERY annoying to use: the play/pause button is ridiculously small, and disappears too quick while trying to hit it (considering that it takes numerous tries). And often it doesn't seem to react even when you hit it square on! The video should play/pause whenever you touch the center of the screen, instead of a big heart appearing. Also when you "save" a video from the screen menu, where does it go?? Is there a saved list somewhere??

I like the concept of put videos on a separate app however when videos come in I might not have time to watch right that second. I'd like to come back but when I go to the person's video libray I can't search for the most recent video they are ALL out of order. This is very frustrating to miss a video because they're not sorted. Please fix this on your end by giving user away to sort their uploaded videos to the most recent to oldest. Thank you!

Needs some serious overhaul. Whenever I got into the "HOME" page anymore it is constantly saying "unable to load". There is no search function and basically it just shows you what it thinks you will like based on what you have watched. I have uninstalled the app twice now and it's not fixing the bugs. There needs to be some functions added and the bugs fixed in order for this to work properly.

The sound delay is ridiculous. It's called IGTV but doesn't work well with Instagram. it always , always, always delays the sound. It will be good for the first minute then after 2 minutes it's a full second behind. I have to constantly uninstall and reinstall it and that doesn't even help most of the time the plus button and the search button at the top of the screen disappears for no reason at all that I'm back to reinstalling. It's gotten worse over the last few months

edit: I'm really greatfull that it's easier to control pauses, fast forward, and so on in the new update, and the option for CC. just some small things that could be improved is - enable full screen. for some reason I can't find an option for it, even if I tilt my phone - when I type a comment, I can't see what I'm typing because the keyboard blocks the comment area. would appreciate if it was moved to the top instead other than that I love the new update!

The app only allows me to view videos on the explore page. I try to play videos from ppls pages in the app but it plays random videos by other unrelated accounts. The screen does not stay on while playing videos. The app closes everytime I tap to try and comment on or like a video. Also, sometimes, it doesn't let me post a video I've recorded and it doesn't save so some of my videos have just been lost and I've had to re-record them. Edit: the app crashes and won't open now. *Sigh*

Is impossible to upload anything. Extremely slow, it keeps sending error messages all the time and get stucked at some point a lot of times. Also you can't explore to find new content at all. It only shows the videos from accounts that you already follow and the only way to find other stuff is to visit a specific acount to see their videos or use a direct link. The only reason to use it is because it is linked to instagram wich is a great and popular app that i've been using from a long time.

Since 1 week, I cannot use the Swipe Up option for the stories to link my IGTV videos. It was all fine before, but now the option just does not appear. This was a very nice thing to connect the 2 apps, which was the goal of Facebook. Now it is simply not working, what makes the video platform much harder to access. I hope the company fix this extremely annoying problem.

Right now I'm unable to successfully upload a 7-minute video. Damn. Your scorecard on user experience is F9! One can't stop an upload if something goes amiss, or you simply change your mind. [Edit]: stopping upload is only possible when you disconnect internet. Really? 🤦🏽‍♂️ On some videos the comment, like buttons at the bottom right does not appear, that includes the ones on my page. What exactly is the point?

Not a very useful app for video-watching. I downloaded it hoping it would have a pop-up player feature, making it more convenient than the Instagram app for watching longer videos while doing other things on my phone. Seems like it's missing a lot of very basic features. It doesn't even give the date of when videos were posted, so you have no idea how old any video is. As it stands right now, I really don't see any benefit to using this app over the main Instagram app. 🤷🏼

I always get stuck at "processing" when I attempt to add a customized cover photo. Also, once I get passed the "processing" part (after uninstalling and reinstalling every time) and I edit the PREVIEW view for the post on my main IG feed, it doesn't show my customized cover photo.. It shows a zoomed in portion of the video clip instead. I didn't have any problems setting a customized cover photo before..

can we have double tap to forward and rewind i keep accidentally doing it and the video gets muted everytime i leave and i end up missing a bit. and also accidentally slide to the next video when i want to slide down my notification shade. its either im really inept at using this or its kinda not user friendly. BUT competition to youtube is a really good idea. i like the idea and the app but ui could be improved and hopefully more content is put up on it :)

There is plenty of room for improvement, especially because this app has great potential! It already has many wonderful features, however it would be nice if it let us edit videos on the app it self, instead of having to download another app to edit videos. Since IGTV is a video app the app would be much better if it contained more video making aspects to it. IGTV is a nice app with a lot of potential and already great features, I hope you keep improving it though.

I figured Instagram Stories turns your videos to trash so maybe this is the way to go but nope - it *too* severely degrades the video quality of whatever you upload. I don't know how you gonna compete with YouTube with this aggressive video compression. The UI is great and this app *could* be great... If only you could upload a video that wouldn't turn into a blocky mess.

There's so many bugs. When i search a tag and play a vid, it will be that same vid that will play even when i click on a different vid from other tags. Even just switching to the recent vids, that will happen too. In the end i have to exit the app for it to finally play the actual vid i was clicking on. And the auto rotate feature is very annoying too. Some of us watch videos from igtv while laying down on our sides. There's so many more points for improvement.

Can't find the required accounts to watch video on. The recommended section needs some drastic changes in understanding user's experience better. Currently, I can't find the required artist of my choice. Searching on Instagram works. If that works on Instagram, then it should work here as well. Why I can't find it?

Edited 10/07. Honestly, it turns worst every day. I hate use this app because it fill of bugs. Well this app needs some updates. 1) we need a button for stop the uploading, in case we made a mistake or something. 2) I need to add old videos to series and I can't. 3) recently I discovered I can upload videos from my computer but I can't add them to the series or creating a new one serie.. If you can fix those problems I think your app will be better.

why is it so buggy??? anything longer than 5 seconds takes forever to upload, as opposed to a 40 min live on the Instagram app uploading almost instantly. when I try to post videos from my camera roll, the fit is all wrong and the video is chopped up, and you can't choose a cover that isn't zoomed in af. - if anyone has ideas on what is going on, pls I would appreciate the help! x

The app is extremely glitchy. It doesn't like to work. At first it was fine but the longer I used it the more problems I came across weather they seemed to be there since I downloaded or were never there when I first used the app and just appeared and this stuff happens with apps but with igtv it completely ruins the experience and my opinion of the app continues to decline as my ability to use the apps features decline as well.

The needs are simple- uploading a video equal to or greater than 1 minute for display on Instagram. That works well and besides seeing your own stuff you can snoop on other user's videos. My problem is the MASSIVE amount of data the app used and accumulated in only several days, over 800GB, nearly a GIGABYTE. Where is the data being sent too and WHO is looking at it? I'm just getting really sick of Facebook and its never-ending data collection. I'd be very reluctant to use this "APP" again.

It hasn't let me upload any videos in quite awhile. Plus when you open the app at the top rt is a +sign if you don't hurry up & click on that to add a video you need to go back out & come back in the app. But like i said it won't allow me to add a video anyway.

I downloaded this just wanted to post my edited video on Instagram .. because recently Instagram was updated to a new version but instead I can't just post videos .. instead it becomes new video reel..but this app doesn't help at all because the videos that have to be uploaded on igtv have to be over 1 minute long, but my editing duration is less than 1 minute.. tbh I'm very miss Instagram before the reels, because I can post videos without adding pictures .. not like now huft. please fix this.

The app lets me search tags a few times before it times out and I have to restart the all. If I put the igtv app in the background to open another, I can't go back to igtv without it blacking out. My "following" section doesn't update to share latest uploads and there is no way to sort newest to oldest. I'll get the same videos under following for days before it updates. Even when going through "following" I'll get videos from people I'm not following. Also, PLEASE allow videos to pop out.

Two very basic and irritating bugs. First - choosing a cover from gallery shows the progress dialog which never dismisses, even back button doesn't do anything, one just needs to exit the app. Second - trying to edit the cover of published videos also doesn't work. It says "cover" giving a visual cue that it can be clicked and changed. But doesn't. How are these apps even tested!?

Not sure what the point of this app is..? Videos are far better watched in the regular Instagram app. For example, there is no option to watch videos in full screen or landscape, neither does it automatically rotate as in the Instagram app. I'll just stick with the regular app. Uninstalled.

I've tried uploading 2 videos now, both just 1 minute 30 in length so not a big size. Every time it pauses at 50%, then uploads just half of the video!! My 90 second video is suddenly 28 seconds long! Poor app. Great idea, but this is a pretty big flaw that's remaining unresolved.
