App doesn't have any useful email receipt feature. It just emails a fancy link to view the receipt in the app, useless! Screenshots are also not allowed in the app; the developers clearly didn't think it through when they designed this. For reference it's much simpler to obtain pdf receipts in Hilton/Marriott/Hyatt apps 🙄
Very unhelpful app. Was told I needed this app to have access to wifi during my stays, which was a LIE. This apps some function is to hit you with ads for more hotel stays. You can't alter anything for upcoming stays, or checkout with it. Absolutely worthless app with poor experience.
I loved the app until the latest update... can not see when reward nights are available, constantly gets stuck and keeps loading. Ive looked up IHG customer service number and it does not work, even called a hotel for it and they have the same number. Does not give an option to pay half points or half cash.
Good update. However, I would like the ability to see which points are also counting as "Elite Qualifying Points". The current method points post does not provide a true breakdown. This was visible in previous version before V.5.
UPDATE: Issue appears to have been resolved. ORIGINAL:Latest update has rendered application useless. Unable to login to existing account and unable to search for hotels. Need to roll out a patch ASAP.
Easy to use. Just wished the hotel staff knew what you were asking and could answer your questions. I travel for work and need secure internet connections. It would be nice if they listed on the app what hotels offered ethernet connections.
Can no longer look at room type and select various pricing options when rebooking a previous hotel by tapping "book agsin." Also used to be able to turn my phone sideways and my member card would appear. That is now gone as well.
Bit tricky to see when and where to request accessibility room, but there is a wee wheelchair symbol top left of the list of room options. Press it and it shows you the accessibility rooms. Did not see anywhere on the app that you could request to bring your cats/dog. So guess you have to phone them for that!
This app had been working fine, but now whenever I try to open it, it just sits on the page with the various IHG brands. I can't move off of it. There are no menus or other ways to maneuver to anything else, making it useless. 😥
Since the last update the app doesn't work. The logos of the hotel brands are loading, then the app goes blank. Nothing to click, just white (or black if phone is set to dark mode). Like this it's useless.
Been a member of IHG for years the old app was so easy. Now I can't log in won't except my password which I know is right. When I try to change my password as advised. It sent me an email with a link that just takes me back to the menu and tells me to log in. Absolutely just a piece of junk. There's plenty of other hotels out there. A massive hotel group and you cant even put a decent app together. You don't deserve customers
Screen freezes on main page when you open the app on my Samsung phone, as I travel a lot and use my phone while on the move this is rather frustrating when you can't use the app to check for rooms etc!
Login credentials not recognized following update. Credentials work fine on website. I've emailed the app contact twice and have yet to receive response. Edit: Still have not received any response whatsoever 5/22
45 minutes in loop ro send a link trying to reset a password finally force stopped the to get the 30 second old link to open change password only to have the link expire b4 I could type in the confirmation password. The problem with the booking part of the app is that the date range is reversed. This means that the end date is before the start date and the app doesn't understand and won't let the reservation process continue. Right now you have to book online and then see the reservation in the app.
Works most of the time! People like to see PHOTOS. All hotels, not just this one, really need to step up their game with including A LOT MORE PHOTOS of their rooms, their restaurants etc. It's super freaking annoying to see the same photo used for supposedly 3 different room types. They're certainly different in price, but apparently are identical.
App throws a user/password error when trying to login. Many times. The user name and password are correct and work if I go to the webpage. Sloppy programming.
Ever since the update, I can't login or get to the Home page of the app (it just stays on the hotel brand logos screen). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still doesn't work. I had no issues at all prior to the update.
I can't log in to the newly updated app, but still can log in to website - please fix app. I'm IHG Diamond Elite status, stay at IHG properties often and use this app OFTEN - please fix it. I tried the suggestions to clear data and reinstall the app - still won't let me log in.
Normally not bad but last stay in Hamburg NY was atrocious. No luggage carts available as the only 2 in hotel was allowed to be kept in other visitors rooms all night. Night cleck had to assist me with luggage as wife is disabled. Price for the one night for standard equipped room was outrageous. Supposed hot breakfast is substandard. Will never stay there again.
I have trouble signing in, then when it goes to the Find a hotel screen, it spins and spins. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it- nothing different happens. It's useless.
Great app for IHG customers! If you are someone who frequents IHG hotel properties often then you'll definitely find this app to be quite useful. It works exactly like the website does and everything is well laid out and it all makes sense.
Since the last update, the app doesn't open at all past that initial page showing a collage of the partner hotel logos. UPDATE 3/22/22 still cannot login even after another update!
I am an ihg platinum ambassador, there app used to work perfectly , since the update it doesnt allow log in , I have changed my password and tried other solutions but still not working, ihg don't seem interested in sorting out the problem so will now stay elsewhere who provide a service that works.
Since you've upgraded this app I can no longer sign in to my rewards. Every time I try to sign in I have to redo or reset a password I've done this 4 times so far this is really irritating
Since the app updated with the new logo, I cannot get in. I have changed my password twice. The only way I can access my reservations online is by going through the internet to the website. Very inconvenient.
Unable to log onto the app since the new update.. keeps saying "Something went wrong". Able to log on the website without any issues. The update today 17 May didn't fix this.
Glitches. I can sign in everywhere but the app. The app updated and now it says my credentials are invalid. Meanwhile, i can log in just using my web browser.
This app used to be great. The latest update (within the last month maybe) has broken it. It won't find the city half the time. The hotel info screen doesn't scroll. It constantly gets stuck on the room selection screen and won't actually let me pick a room. I live in IHG hotels for work. This app used to make it easy, now it's a PITA to try and book on the fly.
