Constantly have to reboot to get it working again and so the app can find it. Bought it 2 years ago and its had its problems but the last month or so, it has been a nightmare. I have updated it everytime when one is available. There is not one available at this time. Also a new feature after last update is after a few days the date disappears and scrolls unknown and the alarm will not work and the app cannot find the unit.

I've owned this clock for a week now. The first night I had it, this app was able to help me connect the clock to my WiFi but only after 5 attempts that took 30 minutes in total as the app had trouble syncing the connection between the clock and my phone to the WiFi. Thankfully, I can at least make voice commands to set my alarm after syncing Amazon Alexa to it. However, despite syncing the app with the clock all the way until the screen says it's synced and the only option it gives me is to go back, after clicking the back button, the app will scan for my clock but ends in a result saying, "Cannot find existing device" or something close to that. If I wanted to try to sync it with the app like I did the first 5 times, I would have to restart the process all over again, which I would do, if not for the app having a hard time connecting the clock to my WiFi through my phone in the first place and that it takes a long time to try to work in general. This is terrible because I cannot customize my alarm sounds or utilize any of the app's features as I can never even get there since it has to connect to the clock first. I submitted a request the same night and just the same as other comments have stated, I have not receieved a response back and likely will not as it has already taken this long. This is unfortunate because I like the product itself a lot, but the software renders it nearly useless. I will likely return it if I don't receive a response or if they don't have the app fixed by the end of the return policy. This clock was far too expensive for me to not utilize the full service I paid for. I do not agree with their unfair trading practices because they are continuing to distribute defective products (because what's the point if the app doesn't work) and without providing customer support or a way to issue a refund for a defective product since it does not perform as advertised, that's a huge violation according to the FTC. Not only are they providing sub-par products, they are also breaking the law. My recommendation: save yourself the time, headache and money and do not make the same mistake I made, and buy this, despite already reading the reviews warning you not to.

I've tried SEVERAL times over a period of months to open the app to set up my iAV14 so I can use it. I can access my account through the website, but the app just won't let me in so I can set up the device. Very disappointed. Thought this would be a great product since the company has such an extensive product line, but right now it's just a useless paperweight 😤😖😢

I should have looked at the reviews of this app before purchasing the iHome door/window sensor. The app only gives me the option to connect speakers or a mirror, despite all instructions that say this is how I'm supposed to connect the sensor. What an awful app and waste of time and money.

Gets one star for concept and product. As for the implementation of this app, it is total failure. Not sure how it worked before I purchased the iHome clock, but this app doesn't work now. I purchased the clock in December of 2018, installed this app.... but the only thing this app did very well was "time-out" while trying to connect the clock to wifi... Decided to return the ihome clock to best buy, don't think there will be a fix for the app soon, Hopefully I'm wrong and they will fix it soon

It loudly says something whenever it connects to the internet, which is aWeSoMe whenever the power temporarily cuts out in the middle of the night. As far as I can tell, there is no way to disable this in the app. Thanks for the 1:00am wakeup.

Clock was working great. Then unplugged briefly to clean and now will not connect back to wifi. I've done both regular and alternate setup and reset to factory defaults, but nothing works. I've now got an expensive nightstand paper weight.

iHome avs16. Time and wifi icons flash and does not work even though after a reset it says connection successful. It is on a 2.4Ghz home network. Firmware says up to date despite being last updated in 2017. Does not allow me to upgrade to anything else. Spent a lot of money on the his to not have it ever work well. Now its pretty much unusable. Please let me know an email address for someone that can help me out. I do not have the time to call and wait 30min to talk to someone.

I hate not being able to use the device without the app it's kind of lame that you have to download the app and take up your memory in your phone or in your tablet it's kind of ridiculous that they didn't put the freaking buttons on the back of the of the of the alarm clock I understand it's a smart clock but still you but still you should be able to set it just like a regular alarm clock I think the app is pointless

Everything was working as it should with my iAVS16, and suddenly it lost connection with WiFi and will not reconnect. I have tried resetting to factory settings and using the alternative procedure, nothing works.

This app is awful. Do not try connecting your device to your wifi with this app, it fails the automated setup and then when you try to connect to the speaker itself and then try to select a wifi network from the list it skips the wifi list screen and says it's connected when it's not.

Yeah this app sucks. Created an account got nowhere. Now Im trying to log back into that account to set my speaker up. Wont allow me to log in. Says loading with a loading icon. Stops loading and remains on the same screen. I click to create a new account and it said that it failed (because I already created that account under my email)

So, during set up, there is no option to connect the ihome electrical outlet. Only a mirror ?? A radio or a speaker. Disappointed before I can even try the product.

I finally figured the app, and clock out, with that said, they need to improve their app for the clock. The clocks app truly is confusing, hard to work with the clock, and makes it kind of useless. This app ihome avs is, as if, a child created it. I'm sorry, I mean no offense, but this app truly is a horrible app.

so the directions on the Alexa ihome suck they should say connect to 10.10.10.254 to setup the wifi... once that is done it works fine mostly other than I get an error trying to program the buttons from iheart radio. not a huge deal I won't likely use the buttons its just annoying.. I like the sleep sounds they have too... so again 10.10.10.254 in your web browser after you connect to the ihome via wifi... so find the hotspot named after the ihome then connect it to your wifi

SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND RETURN THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE!! Spent 30 minutes (I'm fairly tech savy) trying to get this stupid clock set up and nothing would work. finally broke down and called tech support, on the phone with them for 20 minutes for them to say hmm sorry your doing everything right so will have pass this to the next level tech support, but you can't talk to them right now, we will have them contact you in 2-3 business days..

I was able to connect my speaker to my WiFi network and play music on my iAVS16. However, I am unable to properly set my time. I live in Asia, but the application's timezone selection is confined to those in the United States so I am forced to use a timezone exactly 12 hours apart leaving the AM and PM markers reversed. I was able to adjust Alexa's time, timezone, and schedule alarms (using a web browser version). Is it possible to include all global timezones in your application's next release?
