There's definitely room for improvement. It has a clear if not necessarily slick interface. It suffers from occasional instability issues and frequent maintenance downtime, however, at a glance it is good and the research tab with latest news for stocks, whilst standard across most apps, is appreciated. What would be especially helpful is if the app had a form of dividend tracker and / or forecaster. Other apps achieve this so I don't see why it couldn't be integrated for income investors.

Recently moved to ii from HL. Firstly, very happy overall with the speed of transfer, low fixed costs&customer service from ii. No issues at all on that front. The app is easy to use but basic at best. Good for quick checks of holdings & simple trades, it lacks in depth of what is available on the ii website and by other platforms on their apps. For example, dividend income at a glance & top 10 information of holdings within funds & investment trusts. Ok but could be better.

A bit of a readability mess. Inconsistent fonts, some big and easily readable, some tiny. Menu at the bottom is almost impossible to see. The profile indicates I have 20 unread messages, but I have no unread messages when I look at the messages.

Phone started to freeze. Identified it as this app... with 6 crashes every day...... something really wrong with this app. Developer needs to fix and make it stable then it would be great. For a firm where have significant funds it worrys me their app is like this !

Needs to sync with the website features to replicate watchlists, message history, etc, but at least it has a Watchlist feature. Really needs to be able to rotate to landscape. Concerned to hear about the extra authentication - AJBell app has 3 different levels depending on what you try to do.

Can't login. Type in my username press the button and it just refreshes the same page. Can see why this app has a 1.7 star rating. Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Also don't force the use of the pop up Samsung Internet app to login, it's rubbish.

Very poor app. More lockouts and times down for maintenance than hot dinners. Not what I woukd expect of a fin services app! In fact having now felt motivated and I rarely am to feedback, I see many other negative views and I laugh at responses at ones from year ago where the claim was you were working hard to resolve login problems with biometrics and to improve customer journey on android... A year on and just as bad if not worse. Virtually unusable and makes me consider switching platforms.

A retrograde step on an app that worked fine, and was very usable. The tabs (which had all the data) have gone to be replaced by one page you can customise - but can't get all the data that I want, anyway! Also, it's lost the ability to retain the user number on the log in page which means you either have to remember yet another number or the app is nearly unusable. Can't access secure messages either, I think - or I've not worked out how to.

11/9/21 Re the orders menu option, this simply displays the message "Something went wrong. Tap to retry". It doesn't show any orders at all. On the website it's fine. It would be good to be able to view transaction history on the app. Also impossible to switch between different accounts without having to first deliberately fail biometric login. Update: The login process now seems to be working fine. However it is still not possible to view ***orders*** without an error message appearing.

App was ok before it stopped working all of a sudden! Doesn't work anymore! Tried to contact ii to check but they haven't replied nor acknowledge my message...when it worked, it was ok. You could see your portfolio & make trades. However you couldn't check your transactions. So for example I received some dividends, but I couldn't see that payment in the app. You just notice that your overall cash balance has changed.

Terrible user experience. Platform inexplicably doesn't let the user set a limit sell and a stop loss. Many of the information user has to keep entering while it is already available to the app. Info needed for decision making is not on one screen. The figures shown are not correct. Feels like all this was designed by a developer without much consideration to usability or the end user. Poor show. Do better

I'm not finding the new version as bad as some others, although I'd agree that the old layout was simpler. It also crashes frequently on "security policy violations" - not sure if that's ii's security policy, or Android's, or my anti-virus. One big improvement for me is that it now shows the value of overseas stocks in my base currency, GBP. Still doesn't show transaction history, which would be helpful.

Awful interface and no need to pay for trades these days, plenty of free sites. Doesnt show previous / historical trades. Setting a limit order is difficult as the decimal point keeps shifting when you type in numbers. I've told them about this months ago. It's fine if you just want to look at your portfolio but it's not a proper trading app. The website is fine, it's just the app that's very old fashioned.

The functionality, customer service and fees structure is good. However the interface seems outdated and has room for improvement, search of stocks could be changed. Once you found the stock through the search - it lacks basic information like PE, dividend rate, market cap etc. Portfolio preview is not informative enough either, doesn't divide the stocks you have by industry. great example of better, more informative interface is HL, but is more expensive in terms of fees.

Who in their right mind signed off on the new app? It's truly awful and obviously designed by someone that knows nothing about financial trading, the font is terrible, the layout is diabolical and the usability level is so close to zero its not worth talking about. Don't even get me started about losing my watch list without notice. My advice, revert to old version that was clear, concise and functional, then sack the dullard that signed off on the new one, they are clearly incompetent.

UI needs more work to look sleeker in line with ii website (HL miles ahead in this aspect), feels very much like an old iOS app template which feels odd on android. My watchlist doesn't sync with the app, confirmation to exit app unnecessary and annoying. Otherwise, functionality generally good. Streaming prices would be great if possible. Would perhaps benefit from a "contact us" section.

Really don't like the new app. Multiline megafont madness. Bizarre way to choose customise fields as you can't have them all because there aren't enough lines in multiline(!) and the field positions jump around depending which you select or unselect first... Please return to single line view, I'm happy to change tabs to view more details as was the case in previous version, it was just so much easier to read and meant no time wasted trying to understand the bizarre customisation logic.

Updated app crashes at log in. The updated layout is also terrible. I used to be able to open the app and get what I need in a moment. The new layout is a mess and takes much longer to get what I need. Users need an app that gives them what they need on the move quickly. It's close to unusable now. Please sort this out or you will lose me and others from your platform!

8 months on from my 1 star review and no change. The 'Go' and 'back' buttons don't work in any screen, and exiting the app is still only possible by closing from all running apps, not simply exiting the app. Cash withdrawals STILL not available either. The same problems still persist with no improvement in sight. I'm slowly selling off my holdings and moving to a different platform - I recommend others do the same.

The app stopped working on my Samsung Galaxy tablet several months ago, now on my phone it crashes on the log in screen , can't get beyond that. Uninstalling and reinstalling makes no difference. Reported to customer service, all they could offer was to update my device's software (already up to date) and to re-report if this doesn't solve it. Which it hasn't. Totally fed up with a now useless app which fails every time they do an update or so-called upgrade. I have version 5.2.2!!!

The app is fine if basic. Doesn't offer as many features as the Hargreaves Landsdown app for example. However has suddenly stopped working completely after several years of working well. I notice there was an update on 12th November. I reinstalled the app to no avail. Hopefully will be sorted soon and I can reinstate a few stars!

The new update is terrible. So far I haven't been able to make a purchase with my phone. I've contacted technical support... This is definitely not an improvement to the previous version. I'm hoping this is resolved quickly as I'm used to handling my account via my phone. Considering switching to another investment platform...
