This app has some good potential but it's just not there yet. My main concerns are: -You can't create new lists on the app, needs to be done online. -You can't transfer objects from lists. -Some items missing compared to website. (You have to specifically search for them to find them on the app) I really hope it gets fixed, because I find it useful!
The app is good, but has two major shortcomings. 1, the inability to share an item as a link instead of a file. 2, the lack of store map. Yes the app tells you what department it is in and if you can go straight to self-serve, what aisle, bay and product number. However, in a store that is set up more as an shopping adventure than a mere shopping experience, an interactive map can be a boon for both the customer and as a marketing tool/data mine. Plus, should be an easy tie in with instore wifi
First of, I love the store and the concept. But planning any shopping with the app is downright impossible or at best, overly annoying. Filtering products doesn't work and it'll still show everything in the category. Getting any knowledge about a product that's "unavailable" is impossible and I find myself constantly having to tab out and over to the webpage. And overall it's just clunky and sometimes even seems rushed and unfinished. - Henriette, Denmark.
Every time I log in I get a message saying something like "oops, we were unable to synchronise and had to log you out". This has been going for a while and I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice. When the app works it's brilliant, at the moment it's useless. Please fix this. The app works very well on my brother's iPhone
Useless. Never loads. Just spins on the opening blue screen forever. It's not my internet connection. I've disabled my VPN, I've gone cell only, I've tried on 3 different IKEA in-store Wi-Fi signals, and on 2 different home Wi-Fi connections, both fiber based. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared caches and data, and so on. Have had it for about 3 years, has never worked. Latest released Android version, both Pixel 2 and now 3a.
1) search funtion is still atrocious. Search for an item, i get what I want but it cannot be sorted by price as all other items get sorted in as well. Like "rail" also includes hooks, containers and curtain rods. 2) suggestion: can we have a "favourites" outside of the basket? There are items I want to love and keep in mind for when I can afford or have the space for them. In the meantime, I can buy other solutions which I can later use with them. 3) would be great to be able to buy in-app.
The cart in my Android app has disappeared, replaced with a useless (to me) shopping list. I live two and a half hours away and need things shipped, so I have to go online to order and add to the cart there. When I scroll through the search results, it starts over when I get to the bottom and says "no results found". I adore the quality of IKEA and the store is great fun, but the app is not what it was or could be.
This app used to be helpful in accessing my shopping list in the store. But now whenever I log in, it logs me back out, saying it's unable to synchronize my account. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and I still have the same issue. So then I have to remember what was on my list and look the items up individually to find where they're located, or print out my list from the web site at home (which has no problem keeping me logged in) before I show up at the store. IKEA really needs to fix this problem, because right now the app is only semi-useful to me.
The search function is very buggy, often after 1 page of results, it just quits and says "no product was found" which is very very annoying given the categories to browse are not very intuitive, and the search filters are limited. Examples : I tried searching for "drawers" and after seeing 8 results, the search collapsed, or I tried to find watering cans some of which are under indoor -, some under outdoor plants, but in either category, there's no filter for cans.
It is easier to go shopping in the Ikea shop than using the app. Adding an item in the shopping liat is a gamble, you don't know in what list it is going to land (if you have many lists), the items in a shopping list are displayed randomly in other lists. The stocks are displayed as available until you want to place an online order, then the items are no longer available. All in all, a difficult experience, would have expected a lot more from Ikea.
Two complaints: 1) When you scroll to the end of a results list, it refreshes and says there are no results at all. 2) It does not load different Shopping Lists when you select them. It gets stuck in the loading phase or says that it has finished loading but is still on the previous Shopping List. Please fix these bugs.
Original lists GONE. Create new lists, saved 1 item to 1 list, further attempts causes app to freeze. Also, app is *very* s...l...o...w. I understand you're getting ready to eliminate store map/shopper lists and pencils along with measuring tapes and catalogs in favor of apps. I only just got this phone and thinking of cancelling it. If I do and you delete everything I'll not be able to shop inside your store. Many people don't use cell phones so you'll cut them out too. Don't be myopic.
Added Advertisements to my home screen! I do not have many apps on my phone. Especially those free apps that cause alot of adds. I downloaded this while at the store and kept getting these full screen, hard to exit adds. Not while in the app but just on my phone! It was the only app I had added with 2 weeks. Yep, deleted it and it STOPPED. I cant blame companies for wanting to make revenue on free games but an app to utilize your services?! ...HORRIBLE
my first experience with ikea was with filters and sorting and it was a great experience with lots of purchases. Now not with the app or online (on my phone i can't tell the difference) i cannot sort or filter anything. Its hard to sort or filter or even search and similar to something from a decade ago not user friendly at all. And i can't no longer acces the computer site because it keeps redirecting to the mobile site.
Great app. I can go through this, find everything im looking for, it lets me know if the items are in stock at my local store and when im ready to go shopping, it tells me where the items I need are located in the store. I can also choose to have items shipped. Not only does the app show you the items, it also shows you various ways you can use them in a room setting. You can see what it will look like in your room as well by taking a picture where you would like to place your desired item. 🛍️
I've been trying for months to sign in into the app. Been directed to click forgot password because too many failed attempts. I know my password. Click forgot password & i cannot be helped there either whether i want it sent via email or text. App is updated. Going to delete then reinstall. If it fails again, I'm permantly deleting. Also happens with my sisters phone, different phone, so i know it's the app. Otherwise good App when i was able to use it.
Useless. I couldn't login to my account several weeks, still facing error message that "it is not possible to login at the moment". Tried to reinstall the app but after fresh installation it was not able to work entirely. Just running circle showing the app is opening ... it took several minutes but not opened at all. I am uninstaling it.
While the app was usable it had a few issues. Being logged in on both the website the app was a no go. Apparently this app is discontinued. It would have been really nice if the replacement had been made available in all countries before this had happened. It would also have been nice to received some sort of in-app notification about this. Leaving one star only due to the amateurish way of handling this.
Constantly fails to load any list of items. Search works only half the time. I am logged in both in the app and the website on the PC, however my favorites list and shopping card don't sync? They are completely different, when I change something on one platform, the other one does not sync the changes. If you already can see if I am logged in on both with the same user and member ID how hard can it be to sync the cart or favorites list really? There is no option to buy online from the app either
It works ok. However the filter by category function does not work at all. Also the app doesn't remember your login/password. Its says 'you where logged out because you logged in on a different device', however I didn't. You really need to re-enter your password manually every time, which is a bit annoying.
It's not the worst app ever but it's not great at all. I want the app to be able to SHOP not just make lists. If you want to buy anything you have to open it in your browser... that makes no sense to me! They should rename it to like IKEA In Store Finder or something bc I've heard it's helpful for that, however, as someone not close to a store, I'm only interested in purchasing online in an app. Will uninstall AGAIN.
Not useful.. had scanning ability, but you can't scan any products while walking around the store. You have to search for them though the app then at them. Why bother? Take pictures on your phone and you will be better off and or will take press time that searching for it on the app.
The app is slow, unsuited for mobile screens (does not adapt to different sizes, text gets cut off, etc), and it costs more time using the app than simply taking a picture or writing your item down. Moreover, a lot of features do not work yet; the maps of the store displays an error. This app should not have launched yet, it needs a lot of work. Do not use until further updates.
