Ikon Pass

Features have started to work, but renewal through the app is insecure. Renewal feature using the app opens an unrelated website, appearing very much like they were hacked. Perhaps they want us to enter financial information on an unknown website that is clearly not theirs, or maybe they were hacked, no way to tell the difference.

Resort trackers, Palisades, Mammoth, Big Sky all work well. Tried 3 different resorts and days with this app, this year, had over 30K for a day at Palisades. IKON showed 1 partial run. I know all about opening up setting for location and permissions in general on tracking apps. My Samsung watch tracks no problem. I use Rever for my motorcycle. Ikon just failed completely this season. The developers need to look at one of the daughter company apps like Palisades.

Takes forever to open, doesn't track any of my runs, but location access is enabled. Pretty much useless. All it does is track days on hill. Using Maprika instead, works without any issues, tracks EVERYTHING.

This app would crash repeatedly on the prior version for Android. They finally fixed that but the tracking doesn't work. The first issue is it doesn't just use pass scans. It is wrong 99% of the time. The second is when you track it drains the phones battery incredibly quickly. This is even more terrible when I compare this app to Epic's app that tracks automatically, without error, and without draining battery.

First couple of attempts using the app were really glitchy; as others have mentioned, the tracker didn't work (caught one trail and 2mph max speed out of a whole day of skiing), and the app kept crashing when I attempted to load a trail map for the first time on the mountain. However, once I changed my location permissions to "Always" instead of "Only When Using the App", and after I started downloading trail maps ahead of time in areas with better signal, the app seems to be working smoothly!

This app sucks. It says it's tracking my day in the notification bar. However, tapping the notification does nothing. And when I go to the app, it asks if I want to START tracking. This has happened every day I've skied at multiple resorts over multiple weeks. Garbage. I'm giving it 2 stars because I can at least pull up a map.

It is nice to look up my benefits. It seems to know how many days I skiied. Major fail on tracking my day. It caught two runs at 2p. Not the whole day from 11a-3p. Really hard to find "track my day" button. Only started a session because a friend linked us. Turning off tracking just as hard. Notification can't be clicked to get to app. Not impressed.

This app has so much potential to be awesome, all they need to pay the devs more money to update it theres just so many bugs that drives you crazy while you're on the mountain. The live tracking is great when its working, shows you exactly where you are, what lift you on, ect but it should also show which runs and lifts are closed to make your life easier. Some mountains it does, some it doesnt. Ive had the tracking crash. It doesnt want to work when theres no service which is a huge issue.

I'll join the poor review crowd. The app is worthless. I have my receipt in my email and I can go to the world wide Web and log in with my email and password but when I enter it in the app which it says to do it tells me that it doesn't exist that I never bought passes with that email. So it's impossible to link the stupid app to my pass. They should just delete the whole app and start over with somebody besides the person who developed it wish they should fire.

Every time I open the app and try to log in, it force closes. I've tried updating the app, uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing works. It used to work great but is now useless for me.

Barely Functional. The only thing that worked was logging into my account. The tracking didnt work, the maps didn't work, none of the buttons do anything, it's like staring at a static image. I've tried reinstalling and I'm on a brand new Pixel 5 and had a 5G connection whenever I tried.

This app is only useful to check blackout dates... Tracking doesn't work for TONS of people, support isn't helpful, people at Alterra owned resorts don't have access to the Ikon system, have no expectation of this being fixed. If this had interactive weather for their resorts, I'd give this a 4 star but they don't even have that. What's the point of a season tracking app, if tracking is known by the company to be broken?

This app is an annoying POS. For some reason I cannot use tracking, and I also cannot opt into leaderboards on my profile page. Ikon support is extremely slow and incompetent. How many times can you uninstall and reinstall before they believe it's not your fault and an issue with their system?

This app is literally trash, especially given that the Apple version works just fine. It's a farce. Log in issues, server issues, live tracking issues, app navigation issues, crashes, you name it. Also - Alterra, pay your employees more.

Works okay but sometimes fails to track. The biggest issue is the binding of the tracking to a single resort. Brighton and Solitude have crossovers, as do Solitude and Alta. The app completely fails to track across resort boundaries.

App works fine for me. Was shocked to read all the people having issues but mine works perfectly fine! Very happy using it everyday I ski!

Terrible, near usless. Update 1-18-22. Tracking still doesnt work, this time on Samsung S21, error mesage of "Oops, looks like something went wrong on our end, please try again." I have location enabled. Tracking does not work, creates an error message of "user not registered", but I am logged in and gave app access to location.

I would give this app zero stars if I could. Mammoth has 5G on the mountain and I've only been able to track about a third of my runs. I have uninstalled, reinstalled the app and recalibrated my GPS. No better whatsoever. Need to fix the app, guys.

App barely works. Tracking will not work even though I am signed into the app with my IKON pass account. Even when tracking used to work, it was wildly inaccurate. Hopefully they can put out a decent update, because up until now the app has only gotten worse with every update.

Tracking does not work! I have location permissions turned all the time. The good news is that you can select the Ikon Pass icon at the bottom and see where/when I've skied. Good thing I'm not paying for this...or maybe I am.

Overall I think the app works well. I like the interactive/live map. Can you possibly add the lift pass to the Ikon App as a PkPass? That way it could be used with things like the Pass-holder application and scanned off a wearable device.

Worst app I have ever downloaded. Tracking doesn't worked and I have tried 2 Samsungs and a pixel. Mountain stats don't update often either. This app is as useless as screen doors on a submarine, which is a shame as it works ok on ios. Someone needs to fire their andriod developers.

Hot garbage, this app stinks. I've already got my issues with the fact that the military discount is the same as the student discount for the iKon pass but now the app doesn't track anything no matter how many permissions I allow the app. But hey at least this year it actually tracked that I went to a location lol. Don't waste your time downloading this app, needs a massive overhaul. 0 out of 5 stars if possible

Waste of battery life, i start tracking in the app and half the time it is not tracking. There will be the ilon notification saying that it it tracking but when i go into the app it asks if i want to start tracking (which i already did). And when i look at battery usage i see that the ikon app is using battery. Just wish that there was a way to track my party when we are all on the mountain.

Works poorly on Android phones, specifically pixel 4 and pixel 6 pro. Several days are missing from my season stats, and the hours of activity is always wrong. Seems to work well on my friend's iphones.

This app is heinous. For charging $1k per pass you'd think they'd have a decent app. It never works. Forget about using the tracker because it has zero legitimate functionality. The # of days I've been up is way off. It does nothing it's supposed to do. Hire some legitimate engineers to fix this garbage. Holy smokes.

I didn't really have to much of an issue with the app, but I do have issues with IKON. It seems to really only be beneficial to be a pass holder because if you aren't, everything else is buried under a mountain of technicalities, or rules that you have to look up so you don't get screwed out of money.

Tracking doesn't work in any way, and I can't join any leaderboards. Really kind of a bummer when all my other friends who are on iPhone are having fun tracking all their runs, and I can't do anything.

This app rarely gives accurate stats. Often shows friends stalled in the same place for hours. There are lots of improvements needed.

Sometimes works ok. Many times, takes forever to load, or doesn't load at all, and crashes. Inviting friends to your session NEVER works on Android.
