Pretty upset. Safer did the job. This app can't even provide notifications on test results. Luckily the Safer app is still running in the background and can give me a notification. This new app has a notification section, all notifications are off but on my phone they are all on. What.....?! To add insult to injury, the place to provide comments in app doesn't allow me to type. Yup. Cool. This stinks. The only function that works is an in-app web browser to the MyMcKinely portal. It is the only way to see results.
Broken. Only shows "authorization token unavailable" when opened. Absolutely garbage. As a replacement for safer illinois, it's garbage. I never had issues with safer illinois. This app is the worst!!!!! Unusable!!! Either fix it or bring back safer illinois
Unlike the Safer Illinois app, it doesn't show all the COVID-19 test results. Every time one has to log in to the health portal to access the results making it cumbersome. Similarly, to access the vaccination status, one has to log in to the health portal. The Safer Illinois app clearly mentioned the vaccination status. Doesn't even show notifications for test results. Not easy to use at all.
I do faced problem about unable to login my netid account in the beginning. Then, I emailes UofI tech service for solution. It works perfectly now. If you can't login with your netid, or your phone redirect you over and over again, plz try to uninstall your default browser (like Mi Browser, and Quark) and set Chrome as your browser.
As a replacement/substitute for the discontinued Safer Illinois app for COVID test status checking, this app is hot garbage. It is nothing more than a bloated mechanism for having a bookmark to the McKinley page... also provides no notification of a new test result being ready, which was a great feature of the Safer Illinois app.
Android user. The app goes on a permanent loop between the get started screen and the net ID login page for me and it seems several others. This issue also occurs with the "safer Illinois" app, so I assume it is a similar system issue. Please fix the issue as this app and the other are pretty necessary and useful apps at UIUC.
Just downloaded app a week ago and already required an update (probably based on the previous negative reviews). Guess what? The app will not update on my phone rendering it useless to me! I'm tired of burning data on an app that doesn't work. The original app wasn't broken. The powers that be should have left it alone
The log in process is just of loop of entering information, then being sent back to the app where you are still not logged in.
Doesn't get past initial loading screen. Easier to just have a shortcut on your home screen to the website. EDIT: I managed to make it work by deleting all app storage and cache. Still shouldn't have had to do this, and it took me until December to figure that out.
Doesn't work on my phone. I updated to the new version, and after that even deleted and re-download the app. Every time I open it I get stuck on the loading screen. It never, ever, actually opens the app
When I first opened it the net ID button wasn't working. I ignored the issue at first but later when I opened the app again it showed the privacy screen and the button to continue wasn't working. This basically renders the app useless. Please fix!
I keep trying to login with my netid but it never works and takes me back to the main page without transferring my login session.
Totally useless, no idea why they updated this app to make it less functional, but now I have no need to use it if it just is a short cut to web pages. Complete garbage.
It's hard to even count how many times this app fails. Lately, it simply won't login after Shibboleth authentication. Can't view test results. It's a disaster =/
Very buggy for the negative test. You have to reinstall the app and sign back in to see if you have granted building access. Safer illinois app was a better implementation and simpler having to access more information.
App trys to do too much without excelling at any one thing.
This app is so terrible. I can't even sign in with my net ID. How do you expect us to use this app if people can't sign in?
It doesn't show the test results. Has so many things but not user Friendly for covid results
I keep having to delete and reinstall this app when it stubbornly insists I'm offline even when I'm connected, and when everything else is working. Other than that, convenient.
Can't log into my ticket account. The keyboard on my android phone will not pop up when I click to enter my email and password, rendering the application useless. =[
Only got because Safer Illinois was discontinued. I don't need any of the other features and this does nothing Safer Illinois did - no history of testing, no results, no notifications. Just a link to McKinley. Useless.
The app won't work. As of 1/23/2021, the app still does not work on mine nor my daughter's Android phone. Update: Thank you for letting me know. It is now working again on our Andeoid devices. Thanks so much.
Crazy how we're required to have this app but there's a login loop that makes in unusable... I-L-L
Does not work on my smartphone, a top notch android. How embarrassing for my university with a great reputation for computer science and engineering not to have a functioning app for loyal Illini, students and faculty. This is not acceptable.
Net Id login screen buttons do not work, sometimes even privacy settings (first screen) are affected. Cannot verify phone number.
This app does not work well. You have to log in to the boarding pass for building access. You can't view previous testing history (vs. Safer Illinois). The app is great for campus life and such, but it just doesn't work well to lump in all the COVID-19 platform items.
